This year you can find a new Halloween Grab Bag!

Get them in Quests (Book, Clothes, Food, Squishy, Toy, Weapon), from Explore, the Guardian Shrines, in the Seasonal Egg Hunt scenes, and the Daily Rewards raffle!

This grab bag contains most of the Halloween event-only items, new and old!

Amber & Orchid Hatches

Creatu during the Halloween Event have a 2% chance to be hatched 

in the dye colors Amber & Orchid!

These colors DO NOT affect the hatch chances of higher colors, such as Albino.

Undead Effect

During Halloween the veil between the spirit realm and our own becomes much thinner than during the rest of the year. The residual magic of Nekrosis and the Curse of the Undead begins to stir and make its presence known once again.

You can give your creatu the Undead Effect by resurrecting an Adult Creatu from the graveyard by using a Curse of the Undead item!

Remember: Resurrected Creatu will have 0 hunger and must be fed after reviving to avoid dying again.

The Lair, Explore, or the Jaaku & Ebilia Egg Hunt scenes!

We're getting reports that Jaaku and Ebilia have been spotted roaming around on their respective planets. Better start looking for eggs while the season'' here!

Egg Hunts for Jaaku and Ebilia are available during the Halloween event.

For each species, once you begin the hunt you will have 48 hours to collect as many eggs as you can. Each hunt has its own egg hunting scene to search for them.

Ebilia are found in the Reiflem Caves, and Jaaku are found in the Relcore Forest.

In addition, you can find items while hunting for eggs in these scenes! 

Some are Halloween-related items that can be used at The Lair. 

You are able to find these items on the egg hunting scenes even when your hunts are NOT active.

(Your Egg Hunt must be started by October 29, 11:59:59 PM Rescreatu Time. This deadline is to guarantee that you can use your full 48 hours before the event ends.)

The Lair is a mysterious place that will award you with prizes at random for giving it specific Halloween-themed items.

A cave filled with glowing crystals and Reiflem's characteristic bursting plumes of lava sprawls out in front of you. What would you give to find its treasures?

Dev update:

Since our last development update about What's Next, we've been working hard on this upcoming year's plans, and have already released some new content and changes in our Quest Balancing update! You can look forward to quests continuing to be balanced soon, including the less-profitable ones.

Other than that, our immediate project focus is on the new Name Clearing feature coming up for Black Friday, as well continuing our revamping efforts mentioned before (Hatchery, Egg Marketplace, and New User Tutorial). Can't wait to share more developments!

The Book and Clothes Quests have received balancing updates! 📢

Prompted by careful consideration and research, the newest PAB (Publish-A-Book) entries will now be excluded from quests. This change comes as a result of recognizing the unintended consequences of these books on inflation and, more importantly, how they have affected the spirit of the PAB contest. 

We want to refocus on celebrating player stories and their creativity, rather than for quest rewards and profit. Thanks for your understanding as we preserve the spirit of the contest. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause, and will be further improving the profitability of other quests to help balance this change.

As an evolving system, you can expect the prices and rarity of the latest PAB books to stabilize when new series are released. Consequently, older PAB books, those not part of the newest batch, will become sought after in the Book Quest. This creates a dynamic cycle where book availability and demand change with each new series of PAB books.

Speaking of celebrating past PAB winners, 

Book Bargains will now be stocking all previous publications! 

We found it quite a shame that they were lost to times long gone and separated from the other PAB books in this way.

These books are:

PAB Honorable Mentions: Volumes 1-5, Out of Life (removed from VGB), Amber Eyes, The First Easero, Campfire Stories and Zenirix's First Winter

Including an unfortunate mistake we discovered, where a PAB winner's book was regrettably never published!

(Note: This 'new' book, Unforgettable Wonders, will not be asked for in the Book Quest until the next series of PAB releases new published books. Once that time comes, as per the statement above, expect the price and rarity to shift accordingly.)

Additional quest updates:

Based on these recent announcements, we'll also be adjusting some of the Book Bargain's and Fashion Galore's prices, rarities and stock.

- Rarities of many books are now adjusted to be more cohesive based on certain factors. For ex: How to Hatch books of more common creatu are now set at Common rarity.

(The changes below will be in effect in 3 days.) 👇

The 3-day "Additional Quest Updates" are now in effect!

- All regularly stocked PAB books adjusted to Common rarity and prices lowered to 15,000 tu: Ancient Scroll of Spring, For the Love of Creatu, Haunted Houses of Reiflem, Gold Stardust and the Cyid, The Desert on Atquati, Ancient Bones, Stargazing with Galta.

- The price of A Springs Journey increased from 100,000 tu to 500,000 tu and rarity changed to Very Rare.

- The prices of Wyrae Volumes One and Two increased from ~50,000 tu to 150,000 tu and Volume One changed to Rare.

- The prices of the MP3 Players to be reduced (roughly in half) to balance the Clothes Quest now that all 5 can be asked for in the quest. Blackgold will be 3,000,000 tu. Silver at 2,000,000 tu. Blue, Green and Pink at 1,500,000 tu.

- Pride Tank Tops reduced from 1,000,000 tu to 500,000 tu.

(Further adjustments may be made in the future, with warning.)

The next round of Publish-A-Book will be accepting submissions starting November 10th!

We'll be updating the rules to be more accessible, including:

A reduced word count requirement.

A revamped selection of prizes!

There will be a heads-up news update with details about the changes a week before submissions open.
