This round's suggested themes are:
- The Tar Pits of Reiflem
- A Summer Hike with Kir
- Stargazing
- Gardening on Relcore
Publish-A-Book (PAB) is a creative activity that fosters people's fondness to write!
Any skill level is allowed, as long as it is Rescreatu-appropriate and follows the criteria presented.
The lucky writers picked this round will receive:
A PAB Prize Box, the first copy of their published book,
a golden PAB trophy, an exclusive Forum Avatar, and a copy of 'Winners of the Publish a Book Contest'!
Selected to win or not, those who show fair effort will receive:
A Fancy PAB Envelope!
Here's How It Works
1. A round of PAB will be open no longer than 3 weeks each time.
Rounds will run quarterly (every 3 months) with a heads-up update a week before submissions open on the 10th.
2. No plagiarism of any kind, including AI writing.
If you are found doing this, you will be banned from entering in the future.
3. Your book entry must be Rescreatu related.
Including other worlds/characters/mythos in your writing that are outside of the Rescreatu universe will NOT be accepted.
4. One entry per person is allowed each PAB round.
Make sure you edit your entry thoroughly before submitting via Rmail, as you will have no chance to edit it later.(Please be sure to write your story's title as the rmail title line as well.)
5. All entries are to be kept to yourself.
Staff/other players are not allowed to review your work. No co-writing for the time being as well.
6. Entries must have a minimum of 500 words, and a maximum cap of 1,500 words.
7. All book contents must be site-appropriate,
and will be reviewed/edited as needed by the approved parties.
8. Entries will be denied or accepted with notice via Rmail.
If denied, you’re allowed to rework your writing to re-submit it in the next PAB round. Unedited re-submissions will be denied outright.Judges will select which stories are going to be published into books from the accepted entries.
9. Those who are selected will have their book cover designed by Rescreatu artists!
These books are uniquely distinguishable from other site books.
10. There will be a few suggested themes each round, but they are not required to follow.
There may also be 1-2 existing site books with no writing suggested as potential themes to help inspire you further.
11. For the sake of fairness, everyone may enter PAB to get their writing made into a book,
with the exception of Site Writers who will be handling the entries.
