Liam looked at her as if she had just grown rabbit ears, "are you serious? You're not even curious? Well then." he paid for his food and grabbed the bag, pulling the truck forward and steering with his knees as he tore open the bag, grabbing a french fry and immediately dipping it into his shake, "I guess you're missing out on the most amazing thing known to mankind." he said, popping the fry into his mouth.

Annabeth pulled a face at Liam's antics. ''Dude, I think that stuff is rotting your brain.'' She said, shaking her head. ''And don't steer with your knees! You're going to make us crash...'' She trailed off, giving up. Liam really was weird, but he was the at least the fun kind of weird. If there was such thing as a fun type of weird.

"You lack faith in my driving." Liam said, grabbing the wheel with one hand, and using the other to grab another french fry. He dipped that one in the shake and held it out to Annabeth, "Come on, at least try it. Its like, the perfect balance of sweetness and awesome." he said with a laugh.

Liam started to swerve around in his lane, since he was basically the only one on the road, "One day you will learn to trust my driving. And If I were you, I'd eat the french fry, because your life is currently in my hands." He teased.

Liam sighed and rolled his eyes, instead eating the fry for himself, "How many times do I have to say it? I'm very grown up." he said, knowing that it was partially true. He could be very mature when he had a mind to be. He started to drive in a straight line again, "So, now that we have decided that you have no desire to live on the edge," he began, referring to the french fry, "how are we going to spend the rest of this drive?"

Annabeth rolled her eyes. There was a difference between living on the edge, and going past that edge into stupidity. ''I dunno. Perhaps you could tell me why you hate cops.'' She said, a light smile on her lips. It could be an interesting story, she thought, but it could also turn out to be a simple hatred because that was the way he was raised. Either way, just hearing it would kill a little time.

But they do stop the bad guys, too- they catch the serial killers and the kidnappers who prey on young children... I think the good far outranks the bad, to be honest.'' Annabeth said, trying to figure out how anyone could hate the police just because they told you what to do.

Liam snorted, "they are overrated. Do you know how many crimes go unsolved each year? Millions. People "disappear" and the police never find a thing. And why is that? Because they are..." He caught himself before he said the word mortals, and changed the context "stupid. They never find so many kidnappers, and murderers, that it easily outweighs the few they catch."

Liam shrugged, "Not just chaos, organized chaos. Think about it, there would be vigilantes, and there would still be the mobsters. The gangs would be in control. Everything would run a lot more smoothly. Yeah, it would be dangerous, but no more dangerous than it is now." he countered. He would be one of the vigilantes, though it wouldn't be humans he would keep in line,

He thought bitterly, "yet, he insisted on getting all of my information, and when I asked why, he just told me it was classified. So they can ask anything they want of us, but we cant ask anything of them? Now that's hardly justice in my opinion."

Liam made a face of disgust, "I think they just like harassing innocent bystanders." He said, "they should at least tell me why they wanted my information. Just because I had a little blood on my pants didn't mean I killed somebody." Liam stopped talking immediately, realizing what he had just said, and he instantly regretted saying it, mentally kicking himself. He had told the cops it was wood stain on his jeans. He gritted his teeth, waiting to see what questions she would ask, wondering why he was such and idiot, and not sure what he would say.((We needed something to spice it up XD))
