Liam heard the whole argument and laughed quietly, shaking his head and he put the truck into drove away. He thought about heading back to work, just to kill some time, but decided against it. He would need some sleep, he hadn't gotten much the night before, as he had been searching for the vampires, but he didn't think they would be back this soon, they were probably plotting now, waiting to strike.

Flopping down on the bed, Annabeth glared angrily at everything around her. The walls were a shade of light pink she suddenly found disgusting; her father's idea. The dsk and wardrobe were a lovely white that she suddenly hated; her mother's idea. Even the damn floor was an almost white mahogony that her father had suggested. Nothing in the room was what she wanted, she realised. Great. Standing up, she looked around for something to do, but failed miserably. Eventually, she just gave up altogether and flopped down on her bed again, this time to take a nap.
Well now. I should... Probably put something intelligent here. At some point. Eventually.

[[Gnnn. >.<]] Annabeth woke up a few hours later, to hear her mother calling her for dinner. Standing up and brushing her hair, she glanced once around the room she now hated, before going downstairs. ''Hey, mom, can I paint my room red?'' She asked as she walked into the kitchen.
''You most certainly can not. Now, sit down and eat your dinner.'' Annabeth obliged, sliding into her seat at the table and poking the unappatising meal with her fork.
''But why not?'' She asked, before sticking a forkfull of peas into her mouth.
''Because, it's unlady-like and I said no.'' Swallowing, Annabeth scowled at her. She said no more until the meal was over, at which point she changed tactic.
''But mom, it looks like a six year old's room, and I'm no kid anymore. You can't tell me what to do.''
''You act like a six year old. And I'm your mother; of course I can tell you what to do.''
''Mom, that's not fair and you know it!''
''Life's not fair. Get used to it. Oh, and you know your father's friend from work? His son, Dillan, is coming down tomorrow. I think you'd love to meet him.''
''Whatever happened to me not making any new guy friends?''
''Dillan is different. He's a gentleman, unlike the filth who drove you home.''
''You don't even know him!''
''Exactly, and that's a good enough reason not to like him.'' Annabeth had had enough at that point, and slammed her fork down onto the table. Pushing her chair from the table, she ignored her parents' questions on where she was going, and stomped out the front door, slamming it behind her. It was early evening, so she figured there would be no vampires out, in the least. That is, if she even believed in them. She wasn't sure where she was going, but she was surprised to find herself walking past where Liam worked. It's not like he'll be there now anyway, she thought to herself. She walked right past it and kept walking, unsure of when she would stop walking. Never sounded pretty good right now.
Well now. I should... Probably put something intelligent here. At some point. Eventually.

((Oh where Oh where should Liam Be......hmmm. OH I KNOW! Gas station :D lol )) Liam grimaced as he saw the sale price for filling up his truck and reluctantly pulled out his wallet as he walked into the gas station. He bought a pack of cigarettes and an energy drink as well as paying for the gas. He stepped out into the early evening light and was shocked to see Annabeth walking past. "You know," He called out, "we have to stop running into each other like this." he teased, his smile turning into a look of concern when he realized she was upset, "are you alright?" he asked. He cracked open the top of his energy drink and took a sip, sending his taste buds into shock with the sweetness. |

[[Lawls]] Annabeth glanced up, and was surprised to see Liam there. She gave a grim laugh as she heard him call out, but waited until she was nearly right in front of him to start talking. ''Yeah, I'm fine.'' She replied, smiling brightly. ''Y'know how you told me to go see you when I was ready to start living for myself?'' She asked, not waiting for an answer. He might only have been joking, but no way was she going to take no for an answer now.
''Well, I'm ready.'' She said simply, watching him to see how he would respond.

Liam tilted his head to the side, "are you sure you know what you're getting yourself into?" he asked, walking over to his truck and leaning on it. He watched her face intently, taking another drink from his energy drink. His offer had only been half-serious, since his world was one that not many wanted to be a part of. Most even refused to admit it existed. But, it had its perks. The freedom, the lawlessness, and the power.

''Yeah, I'm sure.'' Annabeth replied, grinning, leaning on the truck, right next to him. ''You told me to see you if I ever wanted to live for myself, and now I do, so you have to agree.'' She said, teasingly. ''Besides, I'll hurt you if you don't.'' She began laughing, then, somehow forgetting her parents by just being near Liam.

Liam grinned, "well alright then, get in the truck." He got in on the driver seat and reached across to push the passenger door open, "where to?" he asked. This was her new found independence, and where ever she wanted to go was alright with him.

Annabeth slipped into the truck without a moment's hesitation, for once not worrying about what her mother would say. ''Anywhere but here is fine by me,'' she answered, giving a small laugh as she buckled herself in. ''Preferably somewhere my mother dearest won't think to look.'' She added with a grin.

"Well this is your plan to rebel, so until you think of somewhere, how about we go somewhere she will never find you." Liam said, starting the truck and driving onto the road, "So, I'm gonna go with your mom wasn't too happy with me giving you a ride home." he said, looking over at her.

She's determined I'm not allowed to make friends with anyone unless she knows their parents, and she was trying to get me to hang out with some dim-witted son of one of my father's associates. She refused to even let me paint my room.'' Annabeth scowled at the memory, but shook it from her mind and looked back at Liam with a grin on her face. ''So, I ran away. Where are we going, by the way?'' She asked, glancing outside the car window.

Liam said, then shook his head, "no not really, we are just going to stop by my apartment so i can get changed out of my work clothes, and you little missy, need to figure out just what you want to do. What makes YOU happy?" he asked, "don't worry about what anybody else wants or thinks, what's something you're always wanted to do but your parents never let you?"

Annabeth thought about it, trying to remember the last time she had actually wanted- and tried- to do something her parents didn't agree with. With a grin, she turned to Liam again. ''Alright, we'll go to your place, then I'll have to figure out where I can climb... I always wanted to go rock climbing, followed by cliff diving.'' She said, giving a laugh. ''I always imagined it would be pretty fun.'' [[Silly, silly Liam. v .v He'll be dead within a week if he keeps doing what she wants. xD]]

"Well then, you waste no time getting dangerous." Liam teased. He pulled the truck over to the curb and killed the engine, taking the keys and locating the one for his apartment door. "where could we go cliff diving around here?" he asked, jumping out of the truck and heading toward the main door of the building.

Annabeth followed suit, walking alongside Liam. ''Damn straight. I've spent my whole life waiting; Well, not anymore.'' She looked thoughtful for a minute, trying to think about where they could go cliff diving. ''What about the Sanchez Cliffs up north a little? They're only like a half hour's drive, and I hear the sea up there is relatively rock-free.'' She said, grinning.

Liam shrugged, "alright, Sanchez Cliff it is. He opened his apartment door to reveal a relatively plain living room. White walls, white carpet, light gray couch, flat screen TV. The only thing that gave away that this apartment could have belonged to an 18-year-old guy was the Xbox 360, the ashtray with cigarette butts still in it, and the couple empty monster cans sitting on the coffee table. Liam gestured with one hand, "Mi casa es su casa." he said, walking down a narrow hallway that led to his bedroom on the end, "there's food in the kitchen if you're hungry." he called behind him.

Annabeth glanced around, 'tsk'ing at the ashtray. She decided she'd really have to get Liam out of the smoking habit before he killed himself. Cracking a grin as she sat down on the grey sofa, she thought of how funny that sounded. The one who was going cliff diving was thinking that cigarettes'd kill you. Still, what she wanted to do had a reason, and smoking had none. She remained smiling as she sat forward, waiting for Liam to come back so she could go do something slightly suicidal.

((SORREH! i got kidnapped lol)) After a moment, Liam walked back into the living room, just starting to button up his faded blue plaid shirt. His shaggy brown hair was still a mess, but he didn't care, there were going cliff diving after all, "ready to go then?" He asked with a half-smile. ((thats an epic fail if I ever typed one! LOL)) |
