Annabeth laughed, turning around and walking backwards for a moment to watch him. She tilted her head to the side and grinned even more. ''Alright, then, I'll go over the cliff. We'll save the vandalism for tomorrow.'' She giggled again and turned around. She could see the edge of the cliff, but apparently it hadn't fully registered in her midn how dangerous it was, because she was looking forward to jumping off it.
Well now. I should... Probably put something intelligent here. At some point. Eventually.

"So I'm taking it you're never going home?" Liam teased, looking out at the water over the cliff. The fear left his mind and was replaced by thrill. Despite his complaining, he found the idea of cliff diving exhilarating. Granted, if he smashed into the cliff face, he would just be mildly injured, unlike Annabeth, who might be killed. He grinned slightly, "so whose going first?"

''Well, if I can trust you not to push me at the last minute, I will.'' Annabeth replied, grinning. Adrenaline was pumping through her veins at being so high up over the water, and she stepped forward until the front of her shoes actually peeked over the edge, watching the churning waves foam below. It was a rough night, granted, but not incredibly so. At least, it didn't look it from where she was, anyway.

"Do you want to jump together?" Liam offered, looking down at the water. The waves crashed against the cliff, and it started to seem a little dangerous. But there was no way he was backing out now, "that way I can't push you."

Annabeth shrugged. ''Alright then.'' She said, grinning still. The only thing she was worried about was how cold it was going to be when she finally got out of the water, but she figured she'd have adjusted to the temperature by then.

[[Lawls. xD]] Annabeth grinned, a mischievous look seeping into her features. ''Ok... Onetwothree!'' She said the words as quickly as she could, giggling. The moment the words were out of her mouth, she pushed her feet from the cliff edge and jumped, not releasing Liam's hand.

Liam was a bit shocked by her quick counting, half expecting her to draw it out, but he jumped right beside her, the adrenaline hitting him as soon as his feet left the ground. Once he started falling, he suddenly realized how long of a fall it was. And he couldn't help himself, he started to laugh. I am definitely an idiot. he through to himself.

Annabeth didn't hear Liam's laugh because of the raging waves and the wind whipping through her hair as she fell, but she too started to laugh, enjoying the moment of flying while it lasted. Thing was, it couldn't last forever, and the water was approaching fast. When she hit it, it was much colder than she had anticipated, and she took what would normally be a sharp intake of breath. Instead, she breathed in water and started coughing, slipping beneath the waves.

Liam felt the shock of the cold, but held his grip on Annabeth's hand as the undertow pulled him under. He fought the undertow to get to the surface and took in a deep gulp of air before another wave crashed over his head. He had seen the beach not far away amd pulled Annabeth toward it, eager to be out of the cold ocean and in his warm truck. ((You know, Ive actually always wanted to go cliff diving XD)) |

[[Lawls, me too. xD That's why I made her pick it. :3]] Annabeth managed to get a gasp of air before another wave crashed over her, and her lungs filled with water again. She was beginning to feel very dizzy, and was geting the slight feeling that this wasn't a good idea. Her grip on Liam's hand started to loosen, and she was simply glad for the fact he was holding onto her as well as her holding onto him.

The closer he got to the beach, the less the waves pulled him under, and he could swim slightly better. He felt Annabeth's grip loosen and tightened his own. He couldnt wait until he could touch bottom and when they finally did, he breathed a sigh of relief, "Aren't you glad you didn't jump alone?" he asked, still not loosening his grip. |

Annabeth had, by that point, swallowed and breathed in far too much of the salty water of the icy ocean for it to be healthy, and didn't respond. Her eyes were no longer open, and her 'grip' on Liam's hand was, by then, non-existent. It would have been amazing if she'd even heard the question.

Annabeth was limp in Liam's arms, and her breathing wasn't even shallow. Possibly because she had, by that point, stopped breathing at all, and was pretty much unconcious. [[Np. :3 Sorry my replies be so short. >.<]]

She sat up, confused as to why she was now lying down on a sandy beach when she'd been in swirling waters what seemed like only moments before. Opening her eyes again, the confusion was clearly visible in them. ''... Liam?'' she murmured hesitantly, her voice barely above a whisper, hoping he'd explain what was going on.

Liam sigh in relief, "Oh thank god." he breathed, sitting her up, "Thought I lost you there for a little bit." his eyes were filled with concern, "How do you feel?" he asked. Besides the fact that she was soaked, and she looked a little confused, Liam couldn't see anything physically wrong with her, but as he knew all too well, looks can be deceiving.
