February 14, 2011 - Valentines Event

Cheri & Amor 

We know it is rare for Creatu to ask you for help, but we're desperate. Our names are Cheri and Amore and our owners are Gwen and Joel. Joel is so romantic! He got Gwen a huge bouquet and took her out to dinner for Valentine's day. He even wrote her a song. Unfortunately, he's a little slow sometimes and he accidentally used the name "Nicolette" in his song instead of Gwen. We don't know exactly what happened, but it sounds like Gwen got mad and insulted him. Now they won't leave us alone and refuse to speak to each other. Will you please bring us something to help remind them how much they love each other? Iluvu eggs would be amazing, or any Iluvu that you think could remind them of how they love each other.

If you won't do it for them, do it for us. If they don't leave us alone soon we're going to go crazy! We love our owners dearly but even we can't handle being smothered with affection nonstop! So please, whatever reason you're doing it for, help us.

New Creatu! Vaspi

 

A new creatu has been discovered on Relcore. Participate in Cheri & Amor's quest to obtain these special eggs. The Vaspi is available in all natural and dye kit colors.

  

 

The Vaspi are intelligent and loving Creatu. As infants, they flit from tree to tree around Relcore, seemingly with no reason at all. However, each Vaspi eventually finds one tree or similar object that they will not leave. Once they land on it, they begin forming an attachment to it. By the time they become adults this attachment is so powerful that it is nearly impossible to remove them from it.

This attachment is not the same as a normal attachment to a home. It is a nearly neurotic obsession with their object. Vaspi will often become confused and depressed if they are removed from the object. Others have been known to fly into a rage trying to return to their objects. It is rare, but some will become so attached that anything that comes within reach of their object will be attacked. For this reason it was long thought that Vaspi were wild and could never be tamed, but one man found an egg and hatched it. It was then discovered that Vaspi hatched in captivity will form these same bonds with their owner.

This is not to say the Vaspi cannot think. Vaspi are extremely intelligent but they are often overpowered by their urges and succumb to their instincts. As such, it is suggested that only those that are able to take their Vaspi everywhere hatch one. An insect that reaches ones kneecaps is not always the most welcome of visitors so be sure to warn anyone you are meeting before coming over.

February 8, 2011 - Writer Positions & Sirleon

The Sirleon has received a revamp. It is available in all natural and dye kit colors.

  

The Sirleon is quite large. They can be rather intimidating when fully grown because of their extravagant manes and flaring fins. Despite their appearance, however, Sirleon are very friendly and love nothing more than helping others whenever they can. They have been known to nudge tired swimmers back to shore or appear beside ships when a sailor has dropped something important overboard.

Although they are friendly, they are not dependent on others to keep them happy. Someone raising a Sirleon as a constant companion will be sorely disappointed. They like to go off on long expeditions on their own and prefer to not cling to a single person. They are just as happy exploring the depths alone as spending time with someone. Many Sirleon do not like being confined and will become antsy if they are forbidden from swimming on their own.

Despite not having gills, Sirleon can remain underwater indefinitely. They have special flaps in their nostrils that act exactly like gills. These flaps are only deployed underwater so Sirleon can also spend extended amounts of time above water if necessary. Sirleon may vanish under the sea for weeks at a time, but when they return they are sure to have a wonderful treasure in their grasp. Treat a Sirleon well and give it its space and you will have a wonderful companion.
