With a thunderous roar, Tempus joined the fray, diving at the black dragon's head with lightning dancing over his scales.

Atall shrieked her defiance and dove at the storm dragon, her claws outstretched.

A pulse of energy broke through the air, shattering the sky with a boom of thunder at least ten times greater than that which Tempus had ever unleashed.

Atall was thrown out of the sky, her head ringing with pain and her sight clouded with a multitude of colors.

Tempus was less affected, bt he was nevertheless stunned. In a whirl of motion that betrayed its bulk, the black storm dragon lashed out with an ebon talon, swiping at Tempus. As the smaller storm dragon twirled away, the abomination licked out with another talon, this time at Nyara. At the same time, a bolt of lightning erupted from its maw, lancing towards Blue Flame.

 Nyara spiraled towards the earth, her wings had frozen against her body, ironic ebing that she was an ice dragon...

Gasping for breath, Atall alighten on the ground. She shrieked in surprise as a lightning bolt split a boulder only a few feet away from her. She looked up at the battle progressing in the heavens above.

Tempus let loose a torrent of lightning that seared the black dragon's scales but did little else. The monstrous behemoth swatted at him again as if he were som eannoying fly before turning to one of the other dragons. Tempus cursed and dove, latching on to the giant beast's shoulder, where the wing met the spine. he dug his claws and teeth in to get a firm hold and began ripping and tearing at it. It was obviously painful, but the larger storm dragon ignored him, preferring to concentrate on blasting the others out of the sky with giant lightning bolts.

Nyara slapped her bladed tail against the soft under arm of the dragon and shot ice at the same time in his eyes...

Blinded, the storm dragon roared in agony. The soft area of its armpit was now bleeding furiously as well, as was the joint of one of its wings.

Atall sprang back into the sky, latching onto the abomination's wing right next to Tempus. She ripped and tore at the sinewey flesh, struggling to hol don as the beast began to thrash. Tempus gave a final roar and bit deep into the exposed meat of the dragon's wing. Raw energy began to crackle and build inside of his maw and Atall's eyes opened in realization. As she sprang away, she cried,

"Back! Everybody back!"

As if sensing the danger, the storm dragon schreeched and redoubled its efforts to throw Tempus off. Though blinded, it still lashed out with tooth and claw at anyone who can within range of its hearing.

Tempus barely heard Nyara as the chaotic energy in his maw grew to the point where it could no longer be contained. Lightning exploded, throwing Tempus through the air to tumble towards the earth, only barely regaining himself. The black dragon was plumetting into the waiting arms of the forest as well, a dragon-sized hole blown through where it's shoulder used to be. As it landed with a thunderous crash and a sickening crunch of gigantic bones, its tattered black wing followed it a short moment after, completely blown off. Tempus gasped for breath as he glided on the air, his energy all but spent. That had been a very, VERY risky move on his part. The only reason it had worked at all was because the scales had been torn away. He looked to the other dragons and called out, "Is anyone hurt?"

Atall squinched her eyes shut as a blinding flash of light blinded her, quickly followed by the crack of thunder as Tempus unleashed his power. Her eyes wide in disbelief, the earth dragon watched the monstrous behemoth fall to the ground, clearly dead. "Unbelieveable..." She whispered. Tempus was clearly a powerful ally and a key as.set to this mission, but what was the role of the others? What was Nyara's role? What was her own role? So many unanswered questions, and this titanic battle was just the beginning. She repeated herself, "Unbelievable..."
