Noah shook his head. "I must help, I can't just leave you hear. I can't just sit and wait to see if you are alive or not." He nodded to Wolfpaw. "I will help."

Icekit shiver with fear. He spun, expecting another attack, but it was just Waterwhisper and Thornclaw bursting though the undergrowth. HE smiled halfheartedly, it was better, not good, but better. 

Stormpelt and Eagletalon came right after Waterwhisper and Thornclaw. Stormpelt looked at Waterwhisper in worry, "What happened to Lightkit?" he mewed in concern.

Eagletalon ushered the Apprentices behind him, urging them to hurry, "The bear won't wait," he hissed in ancitey.

Wolfpaw felt respect for this cat. He nodded and proceeded to find Silentpaw. He walked into the nursery and found him still examining Leopardkit. "Silentpaw, did you hear..."

"Yes I heard." He snapped. "Leafstorm, you have to leave. I will look after Leopardkit." He picked the young kit up by the scruff and brought the kit into his den. He laid the cat down on some mossy bedding and proceeded his checkup. He put his paw on the kits chest and put his ear near the kits snout. His breathing was rasped. He walked back into the herb storage and came back with honey slathered on his paws. "Here." He said and gently pushed the honey down the kits throat. The kit seemed weak and Silentpaw was almost sure that it had whitecough.

Lightkit watched Leopardkit from the corrner. She feared for her den mate, they were good friends.

Waterwhisper glanced Stormpelt. "With Leopardkit, why?"

Leopardkit whimpered, her nose running and her legs twitching randomly, "Mamaa," she cried, her voice small.She gulped the honey down, though it hurt.

Leafstorm nodded, but then shook he head, "As much as the bear is a danger, I cannot leave our camp unprotected. Besides, someone must entertain Lightkit," she said.

Silentpaw's whiskers twitched in amusement, but then his gaze turned serious. he shook out two poppy seeds from the dried poppy leaf and held them on his paw in front of Leopardkit.

Pantherclaw and Shadowclaw heard the call for help. Pantherclaw noticed that most of the warriors were going. They needed warriors to protect the camp. Pantherclaw whispered to Nightpaw. "You stay here and guard the camp with Ghostpaw." He said and walked over to Waterwhisper. "Waterwhisper." He said. "You are taking all of these warriors? The camp will be left unguarded." The camp was in utter turmoil. Cats were running off everywhere. "Waterwhisper, i suggest you get the clan in order again. We are getting nowhere with this."

Ghostpaw grunted but nodded, "Alright," she said bitterly.

Nightpaw smiled, "We;ll keep all the kits safe," he promised his mentor.

Leopardkit tried to eat the seeds but fell back, exhausted. "Too tired," she mumbled, her eyes half-closed.

Silentpaw nodded. He looked up at Leafstorm. "These seeds were to put her (?) to sleep anyway. I think she's (?) going to be fine. There's plenty of catmint so there will be nothing to worry about." He said, hoping to calm Leafstorm's anxiety for her kit. "If you need, you may take some poppy seeds too, but I would rather you stay alert while our warriors are gone."

Shadowclaw nodded her thanks to Nightpaw. "Thank you, Ghostpaw." She said. "Later, we will take you out for hunting lessons." She said to the apprentices. She left them and walked over to stand beside Pantherclaw.

Leafstorm nodded, curling around Leopardkit, "Little one, come back to me," she whispered softly.

Ghostpaw nodded sullenly, and sslumped next to Nightpaw, "a little enthusiastic aren't you," she mumbled.

Nightpaw shrugged, "What ever floats your boat Ghsotpaw,"

Silentpaw was unsure of the fact that Leafstorm should be curling around Leopardkit like that. He hesitated, but then shook his head. He knew that a queen would never stray from her kit when it was in danger. He sighed and walked out of his den to see the Clan in turmoil.

Stormpelt crouched beside the fallen deputy, "She's outm" he growled.

Minxstar realized that the bear was targeting the clumped cats, "Scatter!" he yowled, his eyes wide with fear.

((this is soooo confusing. can we just kill it already or drive it off XD))

Shadowstorm whirled around and unsheathed her claws. She faced the bear, hissing in it's face. Pantherclaw realized what Shadowstorm was doing. "Everyone, get beside Shadowstorm. Scare it off!" He yowled and ran beside the bear. He lashed his claws out menacingly, warning the bear to keep back.
