Alex looked back at her, "I'm not sure what you like." He said, a little ashamed to say so but it had been a while and she could have changed her preferences. "But I have lots so you'll probably be able to fin someone you like and I'll cook if you want." He had learned to cook and thought he was pretty good at it.

Katana smiled"Mac and cheese always works"She triedto brighten up,afterall if she was all sad it would ruin the atmosphere or mood of his house and she definitely didnt want hat to happen.~As long as Im safe...~she thought as she looked at Alex.Katana started to hum,not a specific tune just something she had made up.

"OK... Macaroni and cheese." Alex said, going to the cabinet to look for some. He remembered buying it so that was good. He found it and brought a couple of boxes down out of the cabinet and put them on the counter and went to find a poy. A few minutes later the mac and cheese was cooking. "Ok."

"Almost a year now..." Alex answered, turning to look at her. His parents' death anniversary was coming up soon. He smiled at her, ignoring the pain that the information brought. He turned back to the pot, "I'm going down to the graveyard next week." He said, his parents were buried together there.

"Oh,thats cool..."Katana decided not to say anything else just in case she said the wrong thing.She wondered how Jhonathan was doing ~Maybe I should call him...~she thought as her cell rang.Katana hesitated thinking it was Ranu."Hello?Oh my gosh are you alright?!Oh.....Uh,well..Please dont,you'll get hurt!Jhon?"He had hung up,she sighed. ~Please dont do anything stupid!~Jhonathan had called to say he was alright and he was going to be released from the hospital in two days,the bad part was that he said he wasnt finished with Hendersoa,she hoped that he wouldnt put himself in danger.

"Yeah..." Alex said, not really thinking it was cool but didn't know what else to say. He didn't talk about this sort of thing much, made him sad and depressed and he had had enough self pity when they died. He didn't need to do that kind of thing in front of Katana. He listened to her phone for the few seconds that it rang and then to her and her choppy sentences. When she hung up he turned around to look at her. "What up?" He asked, knowing that it must be Jhonathan.

Katana nodded"Sounds like a plan"she said as she let her thoughts drift away"It might work!I just hope Jhonathan will listen..."Katana turned of her cell and pulled out a paper."Hey Alex!This is for you."she said to him as she set the paper down onto the table.The paper was a drawing that she had made a long time ago of her and Alex,she was an excellent artist so she thought that Alex would like it.Of course she changed a bunch of things and added more detail since she could draw even better now.Katana had found it with all of her older drawings at home.

"Wow, Katana, thats amazing!" He said, turning the page to get a better look. "You're still a wonderful artist." He told her, looking up with a smile. He got her a bowl and filled it and placed it in front of her on the table and fixed another one for himself.

"Thanks"she said with an embaras.sed smile.She remembered whather father had taught her about praying for the food,she silently prayed and took a bite.Katana wasnt all that into religion but she knew that she had to say thank you to SOMEone."I drew lots of pictures.Maybe I could show them to you."During her time spent with Ranu she was so bored that she brought her notebook with her,she would draw things that she remembered."Its probably thanks to him that I can draw better"she laughed to herself

Katana smiled at him as she ate another bite.She started to think about her father"I wonder how hes doing...."she thought as she looked down at her plate.When her parents divorced it was the most tragic time she had ever been through.They fought over who she would live with,when she would visit and other things like that."Thank god thats all over!"she thought with relief.She just hoped that there would be no more problems between them.

Alex saw a little embarra.ssed but eat his as well. "Want anything to drink?" Alex asked once he realized neither of them had one. He got up and opened the fridge. He grabbed a water bottle for himself but there was lots of different selections.

Katana shook her head"Nah,Im good"she wasnt all that thirsty,she finished eating and sighed"Now I REALLY have to go in the kitchen"she thought as she walked over to the sink and washed the dishes.Being clean was a habit for her,she would always lecture Kentanu for his messy room but she couldnt change the way he was."Im glad though,everyone is different."Katana turned to Alex"Where do the plates go?"She didnt want to just put them anywhere,maybe he had a special order in which things were organized.
