Perverted.Your cherries are always too innocent. /shot

being that he lives in a cave and never has any human contact, I could see him as being really weird and stuff.

derp. I don't know. Maybe we could do it on earth, and like, in a very remote place that is just going through the futuristic revolution, and the dragon is all pissed because he doesn't want things to change, and so they give him a sacrifice. Which would be where we start.

[[Uhm... Sorry for like... Rambling. I tend to do that a bit in my intros... Dx Just like. Yeah. Sorry. Dx]]

Dusk was closing in. The skys were a hazy red colour, the setting sun seeming to set fire to the clouds. Fire... I rather like that. The thoughts came from the intimidating individual who stood at the cave mouth, his sharp, golden eyes watching with ease the people the size of ants who were milling about in the village far below. The people were losing their long-held traditions, the old, cobblestone streets were being replaced with concrete and tarmac, and the refined walls that they used to seperate themselves from the dense forest around them were being torn down, glass and metal, concrete and stone buildings being erected in their place. The buildings weren't very tall yet, but they were getting there. The village was advancing, fast, and Exuro didn't like it in the least. With the way things were going, it would be only a matter of time until they started trekking into the mountains, and his days were numbered if they found his home.

He'd tried everything to stop them, but nothing had worked. Sighing, he walked back into his home, running his hand along the roughly-hewn cave wall as he went. Those people could do whatever they wanted, this was his home. Nothing was going to make him leave it, be it man made or natural. He was just muttering that to himself when the long tunnel leading into his space opened up, revealing a large cavern, the ceiling easily ten, fifteen feet high. The room itself was fairly circular, and about as wide as it was tall, with sloping sides. Stalactites and stalagmites hung down and poked up like teeth all around him, but the large fire in the center of the room kept the area mostly dry.

Exuro moved to the hammock-like ensemblement that was where he slept, and tugged off his leather boots before lying down on it. He was dressed in what would be considered a slightly primitive manner; a raw-hide, sleeveless shirt, crafted in the way things were when he was a boy, and what appeared to be riding breeches. Yes, he still wore them and still had his riding gear, even if his horse had died long ago. Running a hand through his shoulder-length, inky black hair, he felt a tingling feeling creeping over his skin. Someone was in his area, and it made him wide awake immediately, as he stood up from the bed and looked towards the cave mouth, planning to go see what it was.

Wyr had known that they were coming for him, so it was no surprise when there was a knock at the door. He had already packed most of his things into a small satchel that he had put on. Wyr opened the door and greeted the elders who stood at the opening.

"Ready?" One of them asked. He was one of the younger ones; his beard had just gone grey. He was bent over and using a walking stick, but Wyr suspected that he was faking it so he looked older than he really was.

"Would you ever be ready to be eaten by a demon?" Wyr answered. "Of course I'm not ready. I forgot to pack a toothbrush, but then again, I'm never going to be able to use it after I'm burned to death." He actually had packed a toothbrush, as well as toothpaste, a brush, and some sweets. He didn't want to admit to it, though, because then it would appear as though he thought he was going to live.

"It doesn't matter if I'm ready or not. Let's just go before I chicken out or something like that," Wyr told them. The elders moved out of his way as he walked out of his house.

"You're cat is following you." One of them said.

"That's probably because she knows I won't be coming back. She'll head home when we reach the forest."

The group started to walk through the village. The people stared to come out of their homes to wish him good luck. Some cried. Some prayed. Wyr knew it was just an act, though. If they really cared, they would've stopped all of the construction. And anyway, he had always been kept away from everyone else, just in case it was needed for him to become a sacrifice.

Wyr's cat continued to follow them, even after they went into the forest and reached the clearing under the mountain. The clearing was a place that had never grown any trees except one great tree in the middle. It was that tree which the old bags tied Wyr to.

"Remember, don't fight the dragon. It will only make it angrier." They told him as they fled.

Now all Wyr could do was wait for the dragon.

Exuro walked over to the entrance, sensing a group of people invading his territory. He didn't bother with putting his boots on, instead walking barefoot out of the cavemouth. The ground was dusty and covered with rock shards, but the bottoms of his feet were hard, more like the pads of paws than human skin. Looking down at the clearing with disgust, Exuro walked slowly down the mountainside and to the boy. About half an hour had passed by the time he finally reached him, during which time the shifter had wondered what was going on.

From the nature things had gone in- the boy being escorted there by old men, who looked like the village elders of old, followed by being tied down so he couldn't escape- it looked for all the world like it was a sacrifice. Maybe they had thought this would 'appease' him after he had attacked the construction workers... Clearly they didn't know how to think logically.

The tall young man walked right up to where the lad was tied up, leaning down and cocking his head to the side as he appeared to examine him closely. He'd done this already, from before the boy could even see him, but he felt like messing with his head a little. It could get boring, after all, when you lived forever, and he was looking forward to a little fun.

''So, you're the best they've got? You? Jeeze, I expected something a little more... More.'' He shrugged, leaning back and pulling a short-hilted dagger from it's hilt at his waist. The blade was about as long as his forearm, and glistened in the late evening light. ''Well, I guess you'll have to do. So, how d'you reckon you taste? Last guy tasted kinda like chicken.''

"You took your time." Wyr replied. He was surprised at seeing the knife, being that he just expected the demon to just burn him alive. He was worried about the knife still. He was going to die anything, though. Maybe if he made the demon angry, he would killed quicker and less painfully.

"It's amazing that you actually remember the last person you've eaten. It's been how long? My grandfather wasn't alive since the last sacrifice. You must be pretty hungry."

Exuro gave an amused smile. So, this one did have some life to him, then. It was amusing, to hear that the villagers spoke of him. So, his grandfather hadn't been alive? Interesting. He moved his hand back slightly before slashing forward with the dagger, the blade almost brushing the boy's skin. The sharp edge snapped against the ropes with ease, being pulled back and shot forward twice more, until the ropes that bound the boy were undone.

''Contrary to your beliefs, humans are not my only food supply. I'm picky, but not that much. Besides, I hibernate sometimes.'' He grinned a wide smile, fanged teeth clearly visible. He stood up straight and sheathed his blade, watching the boy skeptically. If he tried to run, he'd just roast him. If not, it would make interesting conversation for a while.

"I suspect that you also eat our livestock." Wyr muttered, rubbing his wrists. The old bats knew how to tie someone down, which was very worrying. He slid down the tree so he was sitting instead of awkwardly standing. His cat hopped on his lap and he pet her, giving no attention to the demon.

Wyr was confused. From the stories that the villagers had told him, the demon was mean and dragony. The person who was standing in front of him was human. Rude and full of himself, yes, but still human. Maybe this was some huge joke and the man would lead him back to the village, and everyone will go 'surprise!' Or maybe he was a cannibal and was going to eat him. Wyr dismissed both ideas. The old bats were obviously afraid of this man, so that meant the he should feel likewise. Regardless, though, Wyr wasn't scared.

Exuro was surprised the boy hadn't run. And here was him, looking forward to setting fire to something. He watched the cat intently as it leaped onto his lap, and he himself sat cross-legged on the floor in front of the boy and his animal. He was transfixed with the creature, being a fond lover of animals. A lot of forest animals, such as deer and bear, were frightened of him though, and for good reason.

''Only sometimes. And it's your own fault I have to. If you'd stop cutting down the forests of my home, stop killing all those animals for no reason, I'd have no reason to ever go near your animals.'' He sighed, tilting his head to the side slightly. ''So, this creature is belonging to you, I take it? Interesting... It seems loyal to you.'' Exuro might not have valued many things very highly, but he did value an animal's trust, and the boy gained just a little respect from him. Hardly enough to matter, he thought.

The cat turned to look at the man. She narrowed her topaz eyes and hissed. Wyr patted her, and she turned back to him. "You act as though I'm the one with the ax. And anyway, don't you hurt the forest too? Dragon fire isn't exactly something that helps trees." Wyr told the man, watching him. Why wasn't he dead yet? Was the demon going to talk to him until he gets bored, and then eat him? It would be annoying if that was the case. Wyr wasn't some source of entertainment.

"She isn't mine." Wyr told the demon, nodding at the cat. "She does whatever she wants to. If she was mine, then she wouldn't be here." Wyr paused, thinking. "Hey, why do you demand for males? In the stories that travelers tell and foreign books, dragons always demands for girls."
