Might as well have been... James thought bitterly, staring down at his phone. He sent the text and filled it shut, stuffing it into his back pocket and looked back up at Adam. Then over at the nurses' table. The finally came back out, wearing an apron that said "School Nurse" and came over to him and Adam. "Morning boys~" he greeted warmly with a smile. She grabbed Adam's clipboard, read it and put it back into the basket at the foot of his bed. "How are you feeling? She asked Adam, trying to make light conversation as she worked. James resisted the urge to tell her to just shut up and hurry and tell her she was late. ((Is he hookd to IVs and stuff or no? XD ))

(As a precautionary measure, I'm sure they hooked him up. His painkillers wore off and he's starting to get cranky. -giggle-
A-also...what are your views on mpreg...?)
Adam sighed, shifting uncomfortably. "Like I told James last night...this morning...whenever the hell it was... I feel like I was run over by a truck," he stated. His pain was finally starting to chew on his nerves, something that agitated the injured male.
"A BIG truck." Then he glanced up at James, his eyes changing from agitated to...warm? Adam was unaware of the change, however.

((Omgg!~ <33 Mpreg = Love ROFL XD)) James smiled sadly down at him. Reaching down to move some of his hair out of the way. The nurse didn't loose her warm perspective however, and moved to his IVs. Sticking a needle that even James wouldn't be comfortable with if someone came at him with it. He was ok with needles and sharp objects. "I'm sorry for the wait, my son had a fever this morning." She apologized, shooting whatever was in the needle into Adam's water bag.

Adam found himself slowly beginning to calm down after the nurse shot sonething into his IV bag. He sighed softly before attempting to at least sit up. He wound his arm around his midsection as the bruises refused to allow this. But he just let out a grunt, slowly, carefully, propping himself up. "Can't stand being so still while I'm awake," he explained.
He exhaled softly his protesting body quieted down, smiling at the peace left behind. The physical pain was ebbing, but that left him to think about his situation. Suddenly he was afraid, pulling his legs up so he was curled up, causing him to emit no more than a soft groan. "N-noone can sneak in here...can they?" he asked, suddenly paranoid.
(I wonder how short Addy's nerves would be if he were preggers? XD)

( ROFL!! I love you too ^^ ) "Unfortunately yes." The nurse explained as she wrote something down on Adam's clipboard. "I constantly have to run boys off that come to skip cla.sses in here." She said, looking up. "Why?" She asked. "You should get tired soon, you need rest and that medication will both kill the pain but make you groggy as well." She explained, putting the clipboard back down. James already knew people could sneak in here, which is why someone was in here earlier. There was no way to keep anyone out anyway. ( I bet pretty short X3 )

Adam curled up even further, the grogginess already fogging his mind. "I don't want to get hurt like this again..." he said in an oddly innocent voice. "A lot of people are going to hate me because I'm gay... that hate is the reason I'm even here..." he said, voice growing softer and softer.
He buried his face into his knees, actually staying curled up, almost defensively, as sleep began to overtake him.
(We should test it out. ;D)

Both the Nurse and James frowned at him sadly. "Thank you." James told the nurse, "No problem." The nurse replied happily. "Hey, could you keep an eyes on him?" James asked, he wanted to go get a shower and maybe a coffee. "Of course." The nurse replied, James wasn't sure if Adam was asleep or not yet. "I'll be back Adam." He told him quietly. He walked with the nurse until she stopped at the counter. James continues, going fast so that he could come back as fast as possible. Back at the room, James took a quick shower. Throwing on cloths and turning off his alarm. He pulled out his phone, Alex had replied a little while ago and he didn't even know. Got it Hows Adam? ~Eric Hes n pain but ok ~James James started back to Adam, waiting for Eric to reply again. Thats good. Whut about u? ~Eric Tired Guilty Bring me a coffee? ~James Kk ~Eric James closed the phone as he reached the infirmary again. (I agree ;D)

(The day after he gets released and has to venture through school again? His boss --and Markus-- insist on him resting as much as possible...soo...he and James will have plenty bonding time. ouo)

It was after school on his first full day out of the infirmary since he'd been jumped, and poor Adam was still acting paranoid, afraid that any one of the bous he went to school with had been a part of the incident that still frightened the dark-haired teen.
Adam was currently sprawled out on his bed, staring at his ceiling with the blank look he'd been wearing the past couple days, trying to figure things out behind the mask. He quickly gave up and rolled over onto his stomach, hissing in a pained fashion as he did so.
Then he looked over to James's bed, a strange...want filling him. Did he miss his company beside him that much...? Or was he just still scared and only had James to save him from his memory? Or...did he...like him...?

James sighed, nearly asleep when he heard Adam's hiss pf pain. he waited a few moments, totally still in case Adam tried to get his attention before he closed his eyes again. He had stayed out of school and work the entire time Adam was out of commission, but not once had they shared another kiss like that day. This disappointed James, and he hoped that it wouldn't be a one time only thing. Though he was glad it didn't make anything awkward between them, at least not for him. James was under his blankets, head and all like usual. This kept out all of the light and the heat on the inside. He suddenly couldn't sleep anymore, feeling extremely awake. He sighed quietly, shifting his weight from one side of his body to the other. Now facing Adam's bed, he wondered if Adam was awake or had just hissed in his sleep.

Adam rolled back onto his back and sat up, pushing his dark hair away from his face with a sigh. He looked over towards James again, barely resisting the strange urge to go over to him.
But, a few minutes later, he found himself standing up and walking over, sitting down on the edge of his bed, blue eyes focused on the male whose personal bubble he invaded..
He felt...safer the closer he was to James. He had no idea why, but he did.

Sudden pressure on the edge of his bed answered his question and he removed the blankets from him head. He looked directly into blues eyes, making his flinch in surprise. He opened his mouth to say something, "....Adam?" He asked, looking at him. He sat up, hair sticking all which way and propped himself up on his hands. "You need something?" He asked. He had been running out to get him whatever he needed since the accident. Ready to do it happily.

Adam shook his head, then reached out to start smoothing down James's hair, amused by how it stuck out in so many directions. "I just..." He paused, hand pausing within the other's hair. "I feel safer over here...with you..." he murmured, glancing away. He wondered how James would react to this cofession...

James let Adam smooth out his hair, enjoying the feeling of having his fingers run through his hair. He found the action almost comforting and he relaxed. After his confession, however, he reached up and took Adam's hand out of his hair and held it between his own. He wasn't exactly sure how he was going to react to him, he'd never been too talented in comforting people. The first thing that came to mind was for him to scoot over and make room for him in her own bed. "You can lay with me if you want..." He offered.

Adam blinked in a surprised manner, lifting his head to look at James. Had he...really offered to let him lay with him? His gaze quickly softened, blue eyes uncharacteristically warm. "Thank you, James..." he said softly as he moved to lay down, trying to position himself so he wouldn't take up too much room.

James made a little more room, there were plenty for the both of them to lay comfortably. "S'ok." He replied, laying down beside him. He felt a little self conscious with Adam laying beside him in such close proximity but he tried to ignore it the best her could.
