Name~ Allen Wednesday. [Lols I couldn't help it. xD]]

Age- 16

Gender- Male

Appearance- Allens style could be called Punk. Or emo. Or possibly goth... Well, really, it's too unique to be classed as any of those. His hair is snowy white, naturally spikey, and down to his jaw line. It has a stripe of red going from his forehead to his neck, thin, about five centimeters wide [think mohawk postitioning] . He has an earing, a single, jet black spider, about the size of a pea, and a stud on his ottom lip. His skin is pale, though not porcelain, and his eyes are heterechromic, i.e. different colours. One is electric blue, the other is grass green. He wears a sleeveless, black and white check shirt, as well as a fingerless cloth glove with stripes in blue, orange, pink, green, red, and yellow, in that order, on his left hand. On his right is a fingerless batting glove. His pants are black, denim, skinny jeans, and he wears big, bulky runners, which are black and red.

Personality- Allen is, in a word, a bad boy. He doesn't break rules for the hell of it, but will if he believes they are stupid/annoying/illogical. Contrary to popular belief, he is incredibly smart, always getting straight As. He has an intense hatred for people he considers 'bimbos' and 'show-off guys', preferring to stay by himself rather than even speak to them. This is, in fact, what he does.

History- Abandoned by his parents before his first birthday, he was left at the steps of the orphanage and left for dead. Exactly who his parents were is still unknown, but unlike most kids, Allen doesn't delude himself into believing that his parents had a reason to give him up. He feels he was genuinely unwanted.

((PERFECT, because she's a stuck up goody-goody. xD))

Name: Nena Erin Lane

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Appearance: Nena has waist length auburn hair that she usually wears in some sort of updo and bright green eyes. She is tall and thin, but she's got curves. She wears nice clothing a lot of the time, and is quite girly.

Personality: She tries to look towards the bright side of things, and often wears a fake smile and uses pleastantries, as she is a debutante type girl. She is often going on about how she can't wait for her coming-of-age ball, and spends a lot of her free time gossiping with other girls about scandals. She is very proper and snooty, and tends to judge people on their apperance --if someone looks like riff-raff, then they obviously are. Since she is an only child, her parents spoil her, but they've always wanted a son, and she's afraid they may resent her for that.

History: Her parents aren't exactly rich, but they're quite well-off, and she's used to getting everything she wants. Her parents tried multiple times to have a son, but she was their first born, and they couldn't seem to have another child after that.

[[Lols. I just couldn't tell 'cos of the 'coming of age ball' thing xD Sounds so un-modern. lols. Ignore me. xD]]

Allen got off the bus, his social worker, a disgustingly neat, prim lady, stepping off next to him. In the pouring rain, his snow white hair stuck to his head, the stripe down the middle flattening out on both sides. His eyes had a slightly bored ex
pression in them, a look of 'I've seen it all before'. Well, in truth, he had. He walked casually and with a quick enough pace, his usual gait, the woman struggling to keep up. Eventually, she caught his arm. ''Allen!'' She said. Allen just glared at her, the bored ex
pression still on his face.
''Yes?'' He replied, his voice smooth and cool, not a hint of emotion to be shown.
''Slow down! There's no hurry.'' The boy just rolled his eyes and carried on walking as he had been, in the direction of a fair sized house, just down the road. It had a big enough garden, front at least, and steps leading up to the patio. He swung the front gate open, climbed the steps, and rang the bell. The prim lady stepped up next to him, glaring at him malevolently, before plastering a perfectly fake smile on her face and folding her arms, waiting.

((Lol, that's because it really isn't. xD But there are still old fashioned debutante clubs that hold balls and pageants in some areas. One was set up recently out where I live, actually. O.o I saw a sign for it and I was like '.....What. why would they do that here, of all places?' It was very odd.))

"Nena! Get the door, please, would you?" a woman's voice called, sounding rushed. Nena rose from her perch at the kitchen table, smoothing down her skirt. She walked into the front hall, shoulders back and head held high. She wrapped her hand lightly around the doorknob, stepping back as she pulled the door open. A pretty, well-practiced and polite smile was on her face.

"Hel--" her voice cut off as she took in the boy in front of her. Her fake smile faltered. He looked....like a hoodlum, dressed in horrid clothing and soaking wet and with hair so odd a color it just had to be dyed. "May I help you?" she asked in her best condescending, you-are-not-good-enough-to-stand-on-this-porch tone. Her eyes caught on the woman standing somewhat behind him, dressed in a business suit and smiling a smile nearly as fake as Nena's own had been. A social worker? Surely this boy wasn't --he wasn't the one her parents had adopted, was he? He was older than her! "Mother!" she called, voice just a pitch lower than a full blooded, panicked shriek.

[[Lololol.]]

''Oh. Hello. Um, no need to be worried child. This is your new brother.'' The prim lady glared at Allen again, moving him over slightly with her elbow to stand in front of the girl. Allen just gave an amused smile, the stud in his lower lip clicking silently against his teeth. His boredom had disipated almost entirely. This girl was so neat, so trim and prim, so... so... Fake. She reminded him more of a barbie doll than a person. Was this false girl to be his new sister?

Oh goody goody. This would be fun. He hoped the mother wasn't as trim and fake, but figured she probably was, and if not, much worse. God help him now.

Nena took a step back at the woman's words. Brother? Him? Absoultely not. What would the other girls say? How could she possibly allow him to --to exist anywhere near her? He'd ruin her. She stared at him as he clicked his piercing, and surpressed a shudder at the sound of metal on teeth. What were her parents thinking? She heard the click of her mother's heels over the wood floor, and nearly sighed in relief. Her mother would set things right, after all. This boy would be sent away, replaced by a smaller, cuter, more easily trained little brother.

She couldn't keep her mouth from dropping open as her mother hurried forward with a gasp, throwing her arms around the boy's neck. "Oh, its so great to finally meet you!" she gushed. She planted a lipsticky kiss on his cheek --Nena hoped he hated it-- before pulling back and ushering the boy and the social worker inside. "Come in, please, come in! Out of the rain, you! Don't want you to catch a cold! Oh, would you like something to drink? Tea? Hot chocolate? Are you hungry? My husband --you're new father," she added, smiling at the boy, "will be home soon. He had to work late."

Allen had a rather pained ex
pression on his face as the woman threw her arms around him. He didn't want to be here any more than that girl wanted him here. He raised his hand, the rainbow gloved one, and wiped his cheek of the lipstick. ''Uh, nice to meet you too.'' He replied, his voice slightly worried as to her mental health. ''Thank you.'' The social worker said, stepping into the room.
''I'm fine, thanks.'' Allen replied. After that display, he had lost any appetite he had previously had. Great. So now he was stuck with an over-affectionate mother and a barbie-doll, fake sister. The social worker smiled at the pained ex
pression, before turning back to the mother. ''Well, it appears everything is in order, and your husband sorted out the majority of things with me yesterday. I just need you to sign some forms, and you can start living as a happy family.'' She said. Allen rolled his eyes again. As if all children adopted made 'happy families'. Sure. According to his track record, that was definitely not the case.

"Oh, of course!" Nena's mother said. "Here, come into the kitchen and we can get those forms filled...." her voice trailed off as she escorted the social worker into the kitchen. Which meant Nena was alone. With the boy who was likely going to murder her family while they slept tonight. She fought a grimaced at the thought. She was being ridiculous. Surely the boy wasn't.....well, he probably wasn't a murderer. And if he made her parents happy....

She took a deep, nervous breath, closed her eyes, and turned to face him. He was taller than her; she had to look up to stare into his eyes, daring him to try something. "So," she said, carefully polite. "What did you say your name was?"

''Thank you.'' The social worker replied, following the mother, slightly wary of what damage Allen would cause while he was alone with that girl. This would be his second family this month.

''I didn't say.'' He replied rather bluntly. ''I'm Allen, anyway. And you are...?'' He asked. He was surpised she hadn't been told his name already. Most of the time, any siblings he might have were told of his arrival, shown pictures of him that were seriously outdated, and told his name. Oh well. He hated the way she picked through her words, choosing them as if that changed the obvious meaning behind the words. That he wsn't welcome here.

Nena frowned. He was as rude as he looked, then. "My name is Nena," she sniffed. She stood for a moment, examining him, before dropping all pretense. "Look," she said quietly, voice as threatening as she could make it. She stepped towards him, stand on her toes to whisper in his ear, "If you steal anything --if I catch you doing anything wrong --drinking, drugs, doing anything illegal, I will personally see too it that you're behind bars faster than you can bl
ink. Don't you dare ruin this for my parents. I don't know what possessed them to pick you, but if you hurt them..." she trailed off as she realised she was pressed against him. She moved away quickly, nose scrunched in disdain. She'd actually touched him.

''Well, you have a pretty fiery spirit, Nena.'' Allen replied. Her touch had disgusted him, though. ''Oh yeah, and you think just because I look different, I'm some thug who'll kill you all in your sleep? I'm not a moronic druggy, if that's what you think. I've seen plenty of snobs throw their lives away on drugs, though.'' He said. This girl was not only as false as faux fur, she was also totally stereotypical. I'm rich, your poor. That's all she thinks. Just 'cos I don't act snobby and false, I'm a thug. he thought. ''Oh yeah. And as for stealing? Basically lying, is what stealing boils down to. Falseness. What do you think you are, eh? That fake smile plastered onto your face, and the way you pick around words trying to hide your meaning... disgusts me.'' He didn't say anymore, his rant done, instead folding his arms, leaningagainst the wall, and ignoring her completely.

Nena reeled bac as though she'd been slapped. "You don't-- I'm not--" she couldn't even formulate a proper sentence. Allen had been in her house for less than 10 minutes, and already he was bringing her down. Her head snapped towards the door as it opened, and she flung her arms around her father before he even walked inside. "Daddy," she said, mortified as a hiccup rose from her throat. Her father's arms wrapped around her.

"What's wrong, sweetheart?" he asked, petting her hair. The hand on her head froze, and she glanced up, wondering why. Her father's gaze was on Allen, and he looked shocked. Slowly, a grin overtook the surprise, and he let go of Nena --she nearly fell over, having rested her full weight against him-- in favor of rushing forward to grasp Allen's hand. "Allen," he said, greeting the boy as Nena regained her balance. "I've been looking forward to this day for a long time, kid. Would you like to put your stuff in your room? Do you even have anything with you? Oh, nevermind. We can go out tomorrow and find you some stuff to make you feel more at home." Nena stared, then backed up to lean against the corner of the wall. They were --they were going to forget her. They finally had the son they'd wanted, and now she was going to be left in the dust.

Allen saw the way the girl rushed up to her father, and the way he just shrugged her off in favour of grabbing his hand. Allen might have disliked the girl, but he felt no one should be forgotten about and ignored, simply because they weren't 'good enough'. ''Nice to meet you. I have some things. Libby- the social worker- will be bringing them down for me later.'' He replied, before turning to Nena. ''I was just getting acquainted with your daughter.'' He said, a faint smile tugging the corners of his lips. He wouldn't lie about her, say she was great, but he wouldn't say she hated him, either. ''She's got a lot of... spirit.'' He said, finally coming up with a word he figured her father would appreciate, and would be true also. She was certainly very passionate, to say the least.
