People saying that you're not allowed to comment negatively need to grow up. I can appreciate that the artist who did this did a fantastic job. However, I still don't like it. It's not because it is a bad drawing, it's better than mine for one thing. I just like the old ones much better. |

I like it overall, thats true. The teen is my favorite. The baby was an improvement, but i preferred the old adult. Yes, I know it wouldn't fit in with these Iluvus, if the adult was left the same, but still. I am not bad-mouthing these Iluvus, for I love every revamp, just merely saying that I preferred the older ones. But still, a good revamp overall. :D I hope we get more like this one soon. |

I believe that you guys should stop bagging on the iluvu. Both the old & New iluvu are both awesome pieces of art. As said earlier, Consider the artist's feelings before posting something mean. The revamp has already been made and I highly doubt Pat is going to decide to change it because of some nasty comments. I suggest instead of just hating the new Iluvu you, try to accept it. Personally, I adore the baby iluvu. I think it's a very good revamp. As you guys have stated already, Other pets need revamps. Yeah they do...But I'm sure their going to get a revamp soon. Res needed to revamp the iluvus before they got released on refliem. |

Not nice, and this is a kid's site, so just becuase it kiddish is'nt a good reason. I like the iluvu. But the old transform thing some user came up with isn't that bad. Meh, I must admit that I liked the original more. This one is very cute, though. Still, I gotta say that I much prefer a more royal realistic Iluvu than a clownish cartoon one. Not that I have anything against clowns...I am one. (See my profile.) I think it should have been low on the revamp list; Drindians and Aukiras need a revamp more than the Iluvu did. I do agree that there should be an item that reverts pet art back to the original, though. However, rude and snide comments about the new art do not help the situation. It's happened, there's nothing to be done about it. It is disappointing to see how catty Res' members have gotten, and how childish they can act when they don't get their way. C'mon, guys...even if you don't absolutely love the art, you have to give the artist credit for putting it out there! |

Personally, I don't like it compared to the original.
It didn't really need a revamp, but it does look kind of cute.
I just preferred the old one, but I'm still going to get this one haha.
The ones who need revamps are indeed Drindian, Goiba, and Murren.
They should be revamped first.

Seriously guys, reading a lot of these comments made me so very disappointed. I can't even believe some of what I'm reading. No one said you had to love every piece of art that gets put out. But some of you are being just down right vicious. In all honesty this just ruined my evening, I can't even imagine how the artist feels. =/ I hope you take it upon yourselves to reconsider the things you've said and apologize to the people you've hurt. That being said, I think the new Iluvu is fantastic, the eyes are so alive and cute. |

Consider the artist's feelings? I agree. And what about the artist who drew the old version, and the users who liked it? Judging by comments like "lifeless, crooked images," "creeped me out," and so many more, it's okay to insult the older artists' work and the taste of those who preferred it, but not the current artists. You know, it *is* possible to say what you love about something without insulting something else (and that goes BOTH ways here). I'd expect better behavior from veteran users, especially Staff. Apparently it's also okay to call other users objectionable names and use the shortened version of the f-bomb as long as you're supporting the current change. Nice examples set there, really nice. For those who don't like it, remember someone put work into this, and maybe constructive critique is more appropriate than just "EWW!" For those who love it, please remember that some loved the old one too, and stating that the older version was horrid or poorly drawn is just as inconsiderate as slamming the new one. |

Sorry that some of you do not like this awesome revamp. However, I for one find it most suitable and refreshing. The limbs are now at a proper angle, they actually resemble a living creature with animated poses rather than being lifeless, crooked images with expressionless eyes. But you cannot please everyone, obviously, and those of you most vocal about your displeasure should consider one major thing. If you drew this, and people flamed you like you are flaming this, how would you feel? Kudos to the artist. This is my favorite revamp to date. |

As much as I like this one, shouldn't the Drindian, goiba and murren be the ones getting revamped? They've waited five years for revamps, so I don't see how the perfectly fine ones came frist. Also, I can't help think that the new Iluvu seems Disney-style, and it isn't as unique as the old one was. Sorry, but I'm not so fond of this revamp. ): |

I personally love this revamp, and am very glad to see it. The eyes and the crookedness of the old Iluvu creeped me out a bit. Love shines through the eyes on these, and the baby especially looks playful rather than demented. Thanks for the update on it! I used to collect these out of boredom... might just put one on my profile now. |

o__O I have to agree with HarryPotter. The drindian, murren and goiba....need attention, just because it's valentine's, doesn't mean you should revamp the pet??? The Iluvu's were fine, I like the old ones better. I keep worrying, that it's gonna happen to a lot of other pets, that don't NEED it... I remember the easero revamp. They changed, very little..just a few touch ups, fix a couple of things..Not a completely different pet. Like the roditore. Not a LOT of change, just a good touch up, fixed a few things. The only one that looks 110% better, is the gondra, that is completely different than what is used to be, and it is GREAT. I really didn't like the old gondra. But the old Iluvu, I liked..didn't see a reason to change it. Seriously?? Ugh....weeks of clothes..then a completely different Iluvu. (Notice I haven't said anything about the "art".) There are glitchy collections, No battle area, No job tower which leaves the token shop and all tokens in it, completely useless. The drindian and murren are desperate for a touch up, the goiba isn't AS desperate, but still. The Goiba and murren only have ONE color.....So it's kind of disappointing that this is the latest "Big" update. |

I was planning to try and get an albino iluvu to go with my blonde one but now I am not so sure.
The legs are strange on all three, the adult especially, no animal has legs that bend like that. On the baby they are all stiff and different sizes, the raised paw looks broken. And on the teen, they look stiff, the further legs look dislocated, broken and just floating there.
The shading doesn't line up with the muscles or any sort of light source, it seemed hurried and just "Lul, Imma put highlights here, here and here oh and shading yesss!"
The heads are too large for the body, while its ok on the baby, not so much on the others.
I don't like how they are a different species, they used to be rather fox-like, not they look like some weird chihuahua thing and make me think of my brother's stupid chihuahua that hates me and that I want to kick really bad.
The tails start off ok, but then they curl and I am not sure what you are aiming for there.
Something about the adults head doesn't look attached to the body.
I also don't like how the hearts are all different sizes, it looks rather messy some how.
Over the old ones, the only thing I like are the colours. =|
However, I can barely see the hearts on the silver one, I would have made those white. :|
Nice work, but not what I would call an iluvu anymore.
Also, I felt they were find compared with the others that are screaming to be revamped. |

I don't really like this revamp all that much. It's not ugly, but I used to think the Iluvus were adorable. These look a little strange to me, particularly in the neck to fluff area of the chest. It doesn't look natural to me how the neck suddenly fluffs out like that. I must say I'm rather disappointed that it was the Iluvus to get a makeover. P: |

I like this revamp, and I think it is a lot better than the previous form. Especially the adult :). Nice work.
On a side note, however, somewhere in the bottom of my heart I wish the silly smile of the first Iluvu would be back... I was totally in love with that Cheshire Cat look. Really, isn't that the grin, that you cannot wipe off your face for days after your first love admits that she/he loves you too? Unfortunately the Iluvu were revamped before my first Res Valentine, and I cannot help feeling that they lost an important, special something from their character. Now they are cute, but never will become a favourite. |

I prefered the old one. What I like about the art at this site is it never seemed to be too "kidish". Pets like the goiba, vogar, meragon and intes are really well drawn adult styles which I think sets the site apart from other pet sites. This isn't bad but it just doesn't seem to fit. |

The baby and adult look adorable. I'm not too sure about the teen though. It looks almost malnourished or something. Like, it's tail is really droopy, almost dead looking. The way it's standing makes it look really skinny...
And it's right ear doesn't look in the right place. It's a gorgeous revamp, but those things are just something I don't like about it. |

I think that most of the overreaction problem that usually accompanies pet makeovers here is that most people don't understand the concept of constructive criticism versus outright insult. It's wrong for people to immediately denounce a design simply because they don't like it, but some of us see fundamental flaws that we can actually point out and feel that those can be improved upon. In that case it's not insult, it's part of the critique process.

And also, I think the reason why most people dislike it is because of the cartoonish style and the eyes. The eyes seem too jelly and crybaby-like, and since people tend to look at the eyes first, it's important. Not to mention, the tail on the teen is awkward and so are the ears. I think the only one that I really like is the baby, honestly. It fits the Res style only a little better, but I would very much take the old version over this. |

wow........ I love the medium stage, yesterday I was looking at them and I was like'When are they gonna get a revemp '.. LOL I love them! But I do say I still love the adult stage of the old one better. |

I think this has been done rather well. I'd like to see some of the people on these comments who're casting such horrible opinions do any better.
This fits rescreatu's style better, in my opinion. The old Iluvu's eyes were too realistic, this kinda slots in nicely now.
Good job overall! |

My guess on what is wrong is - TOOOO OVERLY TOO MUCH cartoony! It comepletely not fits with other pets! T_T Total disappointment. -10 out of 10. FAIL. Sorry but I just cant keep my emotions down, I so much was looking forvard hunting Illuvus - and now THIS!!!! Ugggh... |

I have to say the old one looked better, something's just off about the revamp. I like the teen stage, but the babys' eyes and the adult form don't loom right. |

What was wrong with the old one? The mouth looks a tad like a beak on the new one and I don't like it for what it's meant to be. It is good artwork but I like the old Iluvu much better |

I'm not a fan of the overall look (wasn't a fan of the old one either to be honest, not sure which I like better), but it's an excellent piece of art and props to the artist. |
