Ok, I now realize I was having a major and I mean major "duh" moment. The derp effect doesn't work until your creatu are grown up. Wolf reminded me of this fact and I thought I would post this just in case anyone else forgot too.

I am in love with so many of the derp designs but if I had to pick an absolute favorite it would have to be the Leverene. Followed Closely by the Zaphao then the Tesuri. I also find the Uilus, Aukira, Kurrabi and Ahea designs extremely cute.

Well.. I rather like the Goiba derp, since it's so eloquent and expressive. Also the Ahea derp looks very eccentric. Let's not forget the Meiko derp either, with it's distinct anime-esque pattern. I didn't think I would like this effect because I disliked the look on my profile pets when it first came out, but I gave it a chance and looked up what each creatu looked like with the effect. Still don't like some of them, but I am rather fond of how Meragon, Mirabilis, Kurrabi, Meiko, Veram, Draqua, and Tesuri look.

Honestly I have never ever heard this word used to describe someone in the demeanor a few of you are talking about. This images are just foolishness do you not agree? If you have heard the word in a negative way then try to understand in no way, shape, or form are we trying to show that in this art. I'm so very much stunned by this News post. I sure wasn't expecting all these amazing things. I'm rather grateful and excited that Derp effect will be obtainable again, as I happened to miss hatching any Derps for myself the first time around.
As for the CS eggs. Only one thing may be said... This is a great opportunity for many, not to mention the chance at Achromatic. I wish everyone the best of luck with their eggs.
As for the Derp effect, It was terribly hard for me to pick just one. But after going through all the Creatu more than twice, I finally decided on the Drindian.
The Drindian Derp effect seemed almost sad at first, with the first stage starving and the ribcage sticking out, but after the second stage, and onto the third, it eats...a lot.
I adore the fat Drindian art. And even more, you get to see what they ate. It's a win win situation. I love pizza to. Guess it was meant to be.

Honestly i don't see any harm in using the word derp. Isn't the word supposed to mean silly/dumb? That's exactly what these creatu are, just silly little critters with over exaggerated expressions. I don't see how that is offensive, it's all meant in good humour.
Personally i think this is a fantastic update! ♥ It's great to see res getting back up on its feet with more content and events for users to participate in. Awesome job!

I'm not really fond of the art as well as using the word Derp. as i have seen from several comments it looks like that isn't being addressed though so :/ somehow besides getting cs eggs nothing from here really actually excites me. I'm happy to see res trying to do things and finally seeing something that isn't about clothes or squishies. i don't think of it really as an extravaganza really its only derp art and a chance to get some retired items (kinda dissapointed by that as well. simply because it seems most things that should be retired are simply getting reused now.) plus all the cs eggs available at one time. getting the acromatic aerix is cool though. anyways i'll end this here. like i said im glad that there is an update but besides cs eggs and the aerix nothing that peaked interest.

My favorite is the derp mirabilis. I love how the baby stage is accurate to most newly hatched chicks-bald- yet the art makes the baby just adorable! Then I like how the adolescent and adult stages take advantage of the wide variety of birds the mirabilis could be modeled from- like a hummingbird and an owl.

OMG,OMG,OMG! If I had a tail I would be running around in circles trying to catch it cause I'm so hyped up and excited!!!!! I am so looking forward to all of these cool and amazing goodies!
As for favorite Derp- That's so hard cause I like the slap me in the eye with bacon Zennie, I like the snack belly Drindian and I also like the "I've got this covered" DJ chimby! Hard choice, so umummmm, I will choose the DJ Chimby as my #1 pick.

My favorite derp is the Drachid. To a lot of people spiders are supposed to be scary, but the derp Drachid is just a cute little baby, and when it's an adolescent it looks like it's getting flicked off the wall or something. It's so hilarious. And in the adult stage it still has the same cute little smile.

My favorite derp art is the ebilia the ebilia is my favorite creatu derp or not but the derp art is cute it even has a little spider friend on the final stage i really like it because its different from the original ebilias yet still looks really cool in its own way i cannot wait till the derp art is officially available for ebilia and veram too i really like veram alot as well:)

I cant just choose one, so Ill choose two! My first favorite has to be the Meiko. The first stage derp reminds me of a dog begging for food, and second derp stage of the meiko is just like, "not even." The third one is..... I don't have words for that level of meiko-ness.
I also like the Veram derp because it starts out all innocent, like most tiny children, blaming it on everybody else. But then its more of half and half, balanced out. and its last stage is full on demon eviilll. and yupppppp! ^.^ Have a good almost summer for most or summer day!

I love the adolescent Paor derp effect because of the little sign that says I laid eggs on scria. I laughed for a good ten minutes the first time I saw it. The sign added to the face it was making had me rolling.
