*just came back and stares @ Kayokis in Show room* ... *Hnnnnz~ Gotta sleep about the change for a night. XD Think i can come to accept, even like it. Something on the way of shading on the Tail bugs me, but then again i can't to it any better so, eh... nvm. *lol* This kind of tail is just hard to pull off. Overall, nice work on this one i'd say. ----- Though, is is just me or does the Sepia Baby look a bit over-shiny? As if the highlight is stronger (or more white-ish) then on other colors, or even other sepia stages.

I hope if the Cream gets fixed, the adult's colour will be kept. The only kayoki I own is a Cream, I have fanart and all, and I am not happy about her markings going purplish o_0.

I did my own "re-color" of the Sepia Kayoki some time ago, and I was tickled to death to see that it's been re-colored in almost the exact colors that I'd picked for mine. Just can't stop finding things I like about this. I'll shut up now. XD

I love these :3 just one thing though, the adult cream's tail is a different shade of red/pink. I think it should be fixed to match the teen and baby's colors :/

Love, love love! If you're a Kayoki-holic like me and you're uncertain about the "refresh", give it a day. (Hey, I was surprised. But other events pulled me offline yesterday, so I came back to the new Kayoki with a fresh view today.) Go to the Hatchery page that lists all of the Kayoki colors and take a good look at Kayoki V.3 on it's own (NOT next to the previous version). There is depth to the colors, shading that makes them look fluffier and more squooshable than ever. The lines on the dyed versions are all clean and clear, the colors vibrant and deep. I think the Indigo is the most beautiful thing on four...err, two? legs on Res. Its fur looks like crushed blue velvet. That same sweetly mischievous expression is still there on every little face. My hesitation for some of the dye colors is gone, and I'm going to go even more broke (is that possible?) buying up dye kits. And the description! I'm stalking whomever wrote it as their Number One Fan (uh-oh) since they've written it exactly as I've always pictured my Kayokis. "Fluffy bundles of mischievous love"...damn skippy they are! When the adult Cream version is fixed, I hope it matches the other two stages, not vice versa. I adore the "Berries and Cream" look of the baby and teen, it's so pretty! (NO, I won't do that dance, sorry.) Negative points? I'm a Merchant now, and will have too many Creatu on my profile WHICH has to now be re-done to showcase the new Kayoki AND there's that whole "broke" thing again from the dye kits and beans I'll be buying. I can live with that. :)

With just a few touch ups I suddenly like the Kayoki a whole lot more C: I love the high contrast highlights on it that make it seem very silky and glossy. As for people fussing about it going from two to four legs and back, I don't see why that is even an issue at all. There are many animals that navigate on both two and four legs. Animals like meerkats and rabbits run on four but they can very easily stand on two legs to look around and get a higher perspective. In contrast, the kangaroo naturally hops on two legs, but still has the ability to "walk" on all four. It also makes sense that since the Kayoki is described as a hunter that it would stalk it's prey on four legs.

Just noticed as well that the creature goes from two legs, to four, then back to two. Considering the front legs in the baby look much shorter than the rabbit shaped back ones, it really doens't make so much sense :/ The adult eyes are also oval not round like the baby's. I'm sorry but something really seems off. If you were going to tweek them why not do all and make it look like a real progression?

Wow, those colours are really bright. xD; I love the Indigo. And they're definitely very shiny now, but I think it works for Kayokis. Also, I'm really glad to see the eyes touched up slightly on the Albino! That was the thing that bugged me most about the old version. And also, thank you so much for keeping the Albino markingless. <3

Oh, and I just realised something. Even just the fact that this revamp makes the ears look like they're actually ATTACHED makes it awesome. Really, I always hated that. They just looked like fake wings tacked onto the Kayoki's heads. xD And on the facial structure thing.. there's almost no difference. Just a sliiightly higher cheekbone and a smaller hair-tuft-combover-thing. And that it doesn't randomly have a fur-break on the far cheek.

A redraw was necessary. Without it we could not release any of the more complicated colors in the future, such as trance.

I really don't think this is necessary, and the shiny-ness and shortened hair and fat faces on the adults kinda frustrate me. They look rubbery and the color seems to change on them between stages making them look odd. The best one now is the albino because only the new face is noticeable. Each revamp makes me like Res less and less, sadly.
