Shadow opened her mouth to speak,but was roughly picked up before she could get a word out. Wiggling as she was carried to the room she saw at least once a week she was placed on the same side of the room as Zane. She passed him a glance that meant she would finish this conversation later and the put her eyes back on the other two splices. A sigh escaped her throat and she felt her tail sway behind her,showing her annoyance.
I\'m extremely sorry for my absence. I\'ve been very busy and was recently attacked by 3 dogs and am currently recovering.

Lekke perked up at this battle opportunity This would be a good chance to redeem herself, and make her trainer happy. She knew she wouldn't have to kill this time around because these were all pokemon from the talking room No one ever disappeared if they went to the talking room. She eagerly looked at the Spearow Zubat splice who was nervously shaking and making little twittering sounds. Lekke wasn't quite sure that her battle partner was mentally stable.
Zane watched Shadow, only looking away when she gave him a look saying they would finish this later. He looked over at the two pokemon who would clearly be his opponents. He never really spoke to those two much. One was generally a nervous wreck and the other seemed to care more about pleasing the scientists than making friends. He doubted he would feel any guilt about fighting these two.
The scientist wrote some things on his clipboard for a few moments. " Your current task will be to defeat the opposing team. You have five minutes to do so starting now, " he said with a sharp tone that said failure would not be accepted. If no one was the victor in five minutes or less, they would all be punished.

Zane glanced at Shadow again, seeing a very stubborn look on her face as she sat down and crossed her arms. Was she not planning on fighting? How could he hope to beat these two on his own?! He didn't want to be punished! He could only vaguely remember the last time he was punished. He had been given a bath. Water was a horrible thing and he hated whoever created it. He was definitely not planning on dealing with that nasty substance again.
Lekke growled at the other two pokemon, showing them she was ready to battle, but one didn't look like it was planning to fight at all! It wasn't that she looked scared or nervous like her partner, it was more like a blatant refusal to follow orders. How disgusting. She hated pokemon who couldn't just do what they were told. They always made things more difficult for everyone involved. The splice on her team lunged for the Vulpix Cyndaquil splice, and she ran with him.

Suddenly it hit Shadow,Zane wouldn't be able to take on the two pokemon alone. She sighed and stood,tail swishing side to side as the two other splices ran towards them. Preparing for impact she stretched out her arms and turned her head to the side,eyes closed. A nod directed at Zane told him she would only be fighting so he wouldn't be punished and she planted her feet to the ground,hoping they would support the blow of the two other pokemon splices.

With a quick hop, the spearow zubat splice cleared Shadow and landed on Zane, pecking him hard on the head. Lekke lowered her head and rammed into Shadow, knowing she couldn't jump as well as the flying type she was working with. That was okay though. She could handle this splice easily. From the flame on her tail, Lekke could tell she was fighting a fire type so her water attacks would be strong against her. Then again, her opponent also looked a little leafy. Maybe she had better just stick to clawing and biting.
Zane yelped as one of his opponents slammed their beak against his head. He stumbled back and aimed his face at the spearow zubat splice. Hot embers were spat out of his mouth at the flying type who squawked and ran in panicked circles as it tried to put out the fire that just ignited on its feathers. Zane could help but giggle a little at that. |

Shadow reached out her claws at the opponent in front of her as she realized it was a water type. They would both be clawing at each other,she knew it,so that would be fair. Then she brought her mind back to the fight,noticing she had got lost in her thoughts once more and thought she felt her claws hit flesh.

As Shadow jumped into the fight and distracted Lekke, Zane focused more on the Spearow Zubat. He chased the splice, who was now quite frightened of him and ran away, squawking as his wings flapped up and down. Unfortunately, the pokemon couldn't fly with his feathers singed like that and he remained on the ground, growing more panicked as time passed. Zane managed to catch up to the other and pounced on his back, biting him hard between his wings.
By the defensive way her opponent was fighting, she was willing to bet she didn't like water. The Snivy Charmander splice attacked first, raking her claws against Lekkes cheek, but not digging very far into Lekke's tough skin. Lekke hopped back and retaliated by shooting water at her enemy. While it wasn't much worse than what a fancy water gun could do, it would be enough to figure out if she was right about having a type advantage.

Shadow slightly flinched and stumbled as the water hit her,but she stayed on her feet. Charging at the water type she wondered what would happen if she tried one of her attacks from her Snivy side.

Lekke smiled, realizing that her water attacks would be quite useful for this battle, especially when she got to the other splice, who was clearly pure fire type. She braced herself as the other pokemon charged at her. The other pokemon could move much faster than she could, so she didn't see any point in dodging. She would just have to try to counter the attack, or get some scratches in while her enemy was close.
With Zane bite and clawing at the spearow zubat's back, it didn't take much time at all for the pokemon to faint. It was obvious that this splice wasn't one of the strongest ones, physically or mentally. The Totodile Electrike splice was a different matter entirely. Though she was younger, she was a mix of two very sturdy pokemon who were known for their strength in battle, and she certainly wasn't scared of her opponents. |

(Terrible at Pokemon. :p Just gonna make it spit green leafy stuff.)
Shadow stopped mid-charge and took a deep breath before spitting out leaves and a green gas at her opponent. Never using that attack she was surprised that she had even managed to do it and watched the substance that had came from her mouth go towards her opponent.

Lekke flinched at the leaves slammed into her. Though they hadn't been traveling very fast, the very fast that they were leaves made them painful to hurt. She ground her teeth to keep herself from yelling and glared up at the splice who sent the leaves at her. With a growl she opened her mouth and shot water at her opponent. With her anger fueling her attack the move became more powerful than it had been the last time.
Zane turned to Shadow just in time to see her sending leaves at her opponent. He ran towards Lekke, being careful to stay out of her field of vision. While Shadow might be able to handle Lekke's attacks, there was no way he would be able to withstand her water type attacks.

Shadow felt the water hit her and her feet left the ground,sending her flying through the air. Flipping around she managed to land, unsteadily,on her feet and faced the splice,her teeth showing in a fierce snarl. She then charged at them and lashed out with her claws,hoping that it would hurt the splice enough for her to feel a sense of pride in the attacks she never really used.

Lekke proudly watched as she threw Shadow a meter back with nothing but water. However her small victory was short lived as the splice charged back at her and raked her claws against her face. Lekke shut her eyes to protect them and blindly bit down in the area she last saw the splice, her large teeth flashing a menacing white.
Zane silently ran at Lekke and threw his claws down on her back while biting her with his small, pointy teeth. Unfortunately his small claws and teeth barely dug into her and didn't cause any damage at all. He soon regretted his decision and he was flung of by a quick swipe of his opponent's tail. He wished he could just use a fire attack, but his fire attacks would do just as much as his clawing and he could accidentally hit his partner. Maybe it would be for the best if he stood back and let Shadow fight. |

Shadow was glad he tried to help her,but soon felt teeth dig into her arm and her first reflex was to latch down on the other splice's neck and shake her rapidly,then fling her across the fighting area. She felt blood trickling down her arm and growled as she watched the splice hit the ground meters away.

Lekke let out a raspy squeal as Shadow's teeth clamped down on her neck. As she was flung around her teeth tore into her opponent skin, leaving long gashes on her arm. She flew through the air, hitting the ground with a thud as she landed on her head and was knocked out. Her muscles relaxed and she laid still, breathing just enough to be obviously alive.
Zane's eye widened as Lekke was thrown through the air. With the blood coming from her throat and the nasty way she landed, his immediate thought was that she had died. He let out a sigh of relief as her chest rose and fell slowly. So long as she was breathing she could be healed. He never really liked it when other splices died. " Are you okay? " he asked Shadow. Her arm certainly looked back, but he knew the scientists could easily fix it. He doubted she would even have a scar to show for it when they were done. |
