Nodding, Rainpaw mumbled in agreement, but mentioned the catmint again, thinking of the elder, Greynose. "I would feel awful if his white cough got worse because we didn't bring the catmint to Shadefire..." She mumbled, gently sliding the dusty soil around a bit and staring at her paws. Rainpaw lifted her head and stared into Earthpaw's eyes first, then Tigerpaw's. "Wouldn't you?"

Earthpaw nodded, "We need to stop these non-believers now. They're breaking StarClan's will!" She whirled around and started to pad off determinedly back to camp, her tail lashing with anger. 

[[ Psst, its Shadefire... ]]

Flamestripe let out a releived breath when Skypaw and Duskpaw defeated the fox. But he didn't notice the other cat until the two apprentices crowded around her. Coming out of his hiding spot, he padded up behind the two. 

"She would have not died in vain," he mewed softly.

"We bring her back to the camp and I'll tell everybody she died saving two future apprentices from a fox attack," Flamestripe said before he gently nuzzled Duskpaw with his nose before turned to Skypaw. This time, his tongue rasped over the she-cat's fur.

Since Earthpaw had already stormed back to camp, and Tigerpaw was obviously upset and wanted to be alone, Rainpaw sat, looking up at the grey sky. It was very monotone, very bland, she decided. Maybe that was a good thing. It was constant and unchanging and sometimes it promised a fresh begining. Rainpaw closed her eyes and inhales a deep breath of the sharp, cold air, then looked in the direction Tigerpaw had gone off in. It was never  a good idea to let a cat wander off when they're emotionally struggling, but Rainpaw decided solitude would be the best medicine for him. She lowered her tail and began back towards camp, pouncing on a raven and ending up with a flurry of black feathers all over her and some new fresh-kill to add to the pile. Fallingstar needed to know about the rouge's new clan, and fast.

[[ -yawns- Imma gonna go to bed. Night. ]]

Tigerpaw arrived at the two-leg place and spotted some catmint, he sighed in relief that had had been right. He padded over to the plant and sat beside it, biting off the leaves exactly as Shadefire had showed him a moon before. The action of doing something worth while seemed to calm him and soon he was purring to himself. Once he got enough catmint, he gathered it in his mouth and hopped back over the the old fence. 

He looked back over into MarshClan territory, half expecting to see the rogue watching him. He wasn't, but a MarshClan boarder patrol was. They glared at him and he quickly took his leave, dashing back to camp.

After a while, Rainpaw had found where Earthpaw had buried the mouse she had caught earlier, and held it in her mouth by the tail along with the raven she had killed. As she meandered back, the sound of branches snapping reached her ears. Tigerpaw was returning. She called out softly, though no words escaped her mouth, only lound mumbles. It was difficult to talk with her mouth full of fresh-kill. Rainpaw placed them on the frozen ground, then called out again. "Tigerpaw?" She wondered if he had gotten the catmint, Have confidence in him, Rainpaw. Of course he got it.

Earthpaw hadn't heard Rainpaw's comment and entered the the camp crossly, heading straight for Fallingstar. She barged through the center of teh camp, rage radiating off her fur in waves.

Skypaw nodded, loving the feeling of Flamestripe's tongue on her fur. "She was very brave...and strong," she murmured, pressing her nose to the dead she-cat's fur. "And she l...looks like me..."

Rainpaw smiled, barely, but enough, and nodded in agreement. "Do you want me to carry it?" She did not wait for a response, gingerly picking up the strong-smelling herb in her mouth, trying not to eat the medicine for Greynose. With her mouth now full of catmint, she nosed the raven and mouse over to Tigerpaw, flicking her ear to show that he should pick it up. Not realizing how strong the catmint smell was, Rainpaw's pink nose involuntarily twitched, and she tensed her muscles so she wouldn't sneeze. Letting it pas.s, the white she-cat smiled and started padding towards camp, stoping and looking behind her, then flicking her tail to tell Tigerpaw to follow, smiling. Why was she so happy? It must be the catmint... She made up at least a dozen excuses in her head for being nice to someone other than Earthpaw. It was weird.

((Oh, and to be clear, no Rainpaw does not have a crush on him. At least, not yet. She just wants to be his friend right now.))

Tigerpaw stared after her for a moment before picking up the fresh-kill that Rainpaw wanted him to carry. He padded after her. Why had she helped him? It seemed odd that someone would do that out of the blue for him. Most cats hadn't liked him from the start but the few that did try to like him ended up being pushed away accidentally. He just wasn't good socially. He shook his head. That was going to change. If Rainpaw was going to make an effort to be nice to him then he would try not to accidentally push her away. He smiled as much as he could with the fresh-kill in his mouth. Although his day had started out bad, it slowly seemed to be getting better for him.

((*COUGHCOUGH*Rainpaw is a girl *COUGHCOUGH* Yeah, I based Rainpaw off of a really fun character in a comic I've read. Loosely based, though by looks they're similar.))

Rainpaw squeezed under the gorse barrier again, concentrating so she didn't drop a single leaf of the precious herb. She immediately rushed over to Shadefire's den, placing the leaves down and sneezing to the side, trying not to inhale the stickly sweet aroma. "Shadefire! Tigerpaw helped us find some catmint!" She called, then left, after saying hello and goodbye to Greynose. For a second Rainpaw stopped, checking the air, then bolting off in the direction of Earthpaw and Fallingstar. She caught up with her best friend and her mentor, skidding a little bit and running into the black leg of the leader. "Sorry Fallingstar! There's something really important Earthpaw, Tigerpaw, and I found out when we went to get catmint."

Tigerpaw pulled himself through the entrance to camp, heading straight for the fresh-kill pile and dropping the mouse and raven. He spat out a feather and nodded to Scorchpaw. He considered staying and chatting, but when he saw Stormhunt padding over with a slightly annoyed look on his face, he gave Scorchpaw a playful, sympathetic look, before bolting off. 

Stormhunt sat down beside Scorchpaw with a sigh. "Alright, well, the Deputy [forgot his name D:] is biting on my tail to train you so..." he sighed. He didn't really like bossing his Apprentice around so he decided to be a fun mentor today. "What do you want to work on first?" he asked him with a smile, looking weirdly perky.
