Alright so a lot of people probably don't know me but I'm sure some of you remember, obviously my name is Allora.
I am a writer (only part time while I'm in school!), I only have one published novel but I have several published comics. All of these are under my real world name so I won't be releasing their titles on this thread.
I have been a member of Res since 2012, but I haven't been on in about a year now. Long story short, my mom passed away last summer very young and unexpected, and I've been dealing with it. If you want to ask me about it, PLEASE don't be afraid, but also please do it through Rmail and not in the SB or on this thread, just out of respect for me. Thanks :)
BUT NOW TO THE GOOD STUFF
So when I used to play I had this idea of a facilitated role play for people on Res. I'm sure if I dug deep enough I could find remnants of my old role plays in my computer, as I saved all of the files from each. I had eight or nine people on Res who were actively role playing with me as the sort of DM (dungeon master for you uneducated swine.)
I loved doing this. I did it for free. I did it because I love writing and being creative and this helped my process while also being fun for other players. However, it started to get frustrating. Some players would only play for a week or so and then drop off the face of the earth. It was frustrating because before any real progress could be made in the role play it came to a halt. I kept having to restart these role plays over and over and it was becoming tedious. And I understand, people have lives ect. but these were active members ON RES who were just backing out. And their reasoning was pretty standard; they simply had to make tu and wanted to spend more time on that and just didn't want to keep role playing. Okay, I get it, money runs the world.
SO
This time I will be doing the same thing, with a few changes in the rules, but basically the key difference is that I will be PAYING YOU to join and continuously update these role plays!
How will this work, you are probably wondering?
Basically, for each day you update the role play THREE TIMES (or, if I am the one who is being unresponsive, you must update only if I update as well. For example, if I only update once that day, you only have to update once. See?) I will pay you 100k per day. For every week you consistently update, I will also send you a 1mil bonus! This means you could potentially make an easy and fun 1.7mil per week simply for being active and responsive!
I also reserve my right to send extra tu to anyone who I feel I have a really productive session with on any particular day!
HOW IT WORKS
This is a POKEMON role play. I will not be role playing other generas, no exceptions. There is a form I will have you fill out posted below that will describe in detail what will go on.
Each person will start out in a pokemon school, graduating at the age of 17. They will have the choice of three pokemon to choose from (decided at random! sorta) at the beginning. Then, the stories will diverge based on your choices and any aforementioned info you give me.
You are the player, you make the choices, I simply provide the setting and control NPC's. In battle, you may call out actions for your pokemon to take, but I decide if those actions actually pan out. Outside of battle, you control your own pokemon! I will move the story along, and try and make it enjoyable yet challenging for you!
If you wish to speak to me after the role play starts, please use double parenthesis to indicate out of character speech, (( Like this )) Using this you may ask permission for a character to perform an action, or to find a certain item, encounter a certain pokemon, ect.
RULES
1. No complaining about what happens in the story. You can't always get what you want. Those characters are called Mary Sue characters and they have no depth. You will get some of what you want, and you will have some struggles. But overall I promise it will be enjoyable. But if you don't get the exact pokemon you want or win a certain battle, do not complain. It will work out in the end I promise (Yes you will lose battles!)
2. You must type in complete sentences.
3. You must type at least 4 sentences per post (unless we are rapid posting back and forth with dialogue or action sequences.)
4. You may not control an NPC. You cannot give them dialogue unless it is an exception. You cannot make their decisions for them.
5. You may curse, but there will be no sexual scenes. Yes there can be love interests, but we aren't writing erotica here.
6. Your character must be realistic! In the form I will ask you to name flaws. If you don't give them flaws, I WILL. And you won't like what I give them muahahaha
7. This is YOUR story. If you want something to happen eventually, ASK NICELY! You can have anything from wanting a legendary pokemon to befriend you, having some sort of power, a dark past, arch rival, anything you can think of. But if I get a request like "Yeah I want my guy to have angel wings and he's a ghost who can't ever die and he wins all of his battles and his best friend is Mewtwo" You probably won't get accepted.
8. ONLY THREE PEOPLE WILL BE ACCEPTED TO ROLE PLAY!
9. IF YOU DO NOT REPLY FOR 3 DAYS IN A ROW, SOMEONE ELSE WILL TAKE YOUR SPOT!

Your character is graduating from _________ Academy, a high school in your hometown/city. This school you have attended for 4 years, and now you are at the graduation ceremony. You have already filled out a form choosing your career, and now you are in an auditorium with the other 100 students in your graduating class. The principal in front of you is about to begin the choosing ceremony where you will choose your starter pokemon. Children under 17 are forbidden by the government to own their own pokemon, and pick their first as they graduate school. Though some students have raised their own pokemon, this is their first licensed under their name. You will receive a pokedex, and a bag of starter items based on your performance in school, and this form you are about to fill out. You also will receive 50000P, the equivalent of $500, from the school to start your journey. Students are required to travel for a minimum of one year with their pokemon partner before they can actually start their career, however in their travels they are expected to gain experience and practice for their job before actually applying.

Looks: About 5'6" and maaaybe 135 lbs soaking wet, Beatrice isn't a very large young woman. However, she makes up in size with shocking features - bright lipsticks, a multitude of freckles, naturally curly red hair, and green eyes all somehow flow with her darkly tanned skin. She enjoys wearing bright colors and trying out new styles, but her favorite color is teal and as such there is a LOT of it in her wardrobe.
Clothing: Very punk, but very colorful. Lots of bold patterns and prints, leggings, jackets, snapbacks, etc. B also has a tendency to wear a bit of jewelry - nothing flashy, but the necklaces and bracelets are the only thing simple about her style.
Music Preference: Lots of EDM, little of anything else.
Personality: Like her clothing style, B is as loud and extroverted as they come. She has trouble making lasting friendships, however, because she can be terribly obnoxious. This causes her to overthink her actions and second guess herself a lot, which has put her through immense amounts of anxiety in the Academy (and anywhere else she's put under pressure.)

okay kizzy a couple things, your profile isn't complete, and you haven't filled out all of the areas the right way:
first of all you gave no character deion other than you are black. Quick is not a personality, I need more detail. You just copied the strengths I had posted and changed the last one to german. Your weaknesses are not really weaknesses, they are just food she can't eat. They need to be personality flaws or skill flaws, not just a list of foods she can't eat. You did not choose a home town she grew up in, it has to be a city in the Hoenn region. The classes you picked aren't from the list of classes I provided. The rest of it looks good, but I need that information from you before I can make any decisions. |

considering that his mother is clearly Hispanic, but most people who know his
mother widely assume he takes after his dad in that respect. Taft has eyes
bordering on black. His hair is always ruffled and unkempt. He takes pride in
the fact that he never styles it on purpose. For his age he’s of average height
(about six feet) but he’s rather scrawny. He’s built more for speed and
endurance than for anything that would require a more muscle-y physique.
Style of Clothing: Taft likes black clothing
because people give him a wide berth. In his black clothes people assume he’s a
freak so they don’t bother him, which is exactly what he’s going for. He mostly
wears T-shirts and jeans with sneakers. The only thing he always wears is his
black fedora which has somehow survived his entire four years in the Academy.
Music Preference: Rock, Instrumental, some Pop
Personality: Tafton’s personality is highly difficult
to pin down. He is both unfriendly and lonely. He will try to make friends one
day and say something insulting or hurtful to them the next day to drive them
away, which puts him at odds with anyone who dares to get close to him.
Obviously this means that, by now, no one tries anymore. Tafton is
exceptionally loyal to anyone who sticks by him and would willingly give his
life for strangers if the opportunity or the need arose. He doesn’t like
attention (avoids it like the plague). He is the sort of person that would be
easy to ignore or pass by on the street, yet once you know him (and survive his
rough exterior) you’ll find a friend unlike any other.
However he can also become easily furious and
frustrated. He lashes out without knowing who his real anger is centered on and,
to continue the vicious cycle, not knowing why he’s angry makes him angrier. He
is stubborn and proud. He won’t back down from a fight which has led to many,
many bad situations in the past.

Often tied up in a ponytail, but leaving some hair down to accentuate the face. If her hair is down, she's almost always wearing a green beanie like hat, that's covered in pins from her favorite fandoms. Her eyes are ice blue with small flecks of violet in them. She's 5 foot, seven inches and weighs around 140-145 pounds. Her skin is of a lightly tan color. Appearance: Wren stands at about 5'11' (about 180 cm), with long legs and a smaller torso. Her build is thin and lithe, though she is very fit and has lean muscles on her arms, legs, chest, and back. Wren weighs about 145 pounds. Starting at the top, her hair is light brown with some blonde highlights. The highlights are natural (mostly from the sun) and her hair reaches just past her shoulder blades in slight waves when it is let down. Usually, it is up in a braid of sorts, whether it be French, Dutch, or the like. Wren has a diamond shaped face, with big, greenish hazel eyes (flecked with brown and gold), a petite button nose, and lips that are small but always pink and usually chapped. She has fair skin that tans to an olive color, and a splattering of faint freckles all over her face- mostly concentrated around her nose and cheekbones. Her collarbones are prominent, but her chest is not. Her waist is slim, like the rest of her, and her hips jut out about an inch after that. The rest of her body is the same, slim and fit, with freckles scattered sparsely everywhere. Style of Clothing: Wren prefers comfort over style when it comes to clothes. She hates to be left out, and loves getting into whatever her task is. She is very quiet, despite her fetish for exploring. She is trusting of everyone she meets, to a bad point, and will stop at nothing to ensure the safety of her loved ones. Strengths: "Petilil, you cannot swim across that river. We are crossing that log, and that is final. Do you hear me, missy?" Wren is warm, humorous, and logical. She is adventurous and straightforward. Wren loves most Pokémon, and makes friends with them, if not their trainers, easily. Also, she is stubborn. She can best be described as one of those people who make their own recipes instead of following the one in the cookbook. Weaknesses: "Jeez, Fira. I'm only ten feet from the top of this oak. Dinner can wait, m'kay?" "You went to the beach- without me? I thought you loved me!" Wren is reckless, impatient, and sometimes a little pushy. Wren is stubborn. She dislikes it when she gets left out, and cannot stand people who slack their way through life. Wren cannot swim very well. Parents/background: Wren's parents (Luther and Elmira Ebaneus) lived a simple life in their small cottage on the outskirts of Aquacorde. From an early age, Wren loved to be outside, and played from dawn to dusk with her older sister, Fira. When Fira went off to school, her parents taught her about the many Pokémon that made their dwelling in the woods behind the cottage. Since then, Wren has always dreamed about catching as many Pokémon as possible, and training them likewise.
