C.J. walked slowly out of the school into the main courtyard with a small sigh. His red and black backpack was slung across his right shoulder carelessly. He glanced around the courtyard, his brown eyes narrowing slightly in the bright sun. C.J. spotted Zakeru and Scuylr and began to head towards them, pretending he was just wandering aimlessly in their direction.

Zakeru was leaning against the courtyard wall with a cigarette between his lips. The acrid smoke misted around him as he kept his odd orange eyes on his friend. Exhaling another puff of smoke, he spoke; "Skull, what are you doing?" He used his friend's nickname when he asked the question, looking over Sculyr's shoulder to see what he held in his hand.
Skulyr glanced at Zakeru before a grin slowly curved his lips. "Nothing that concerns your technological mind, Lizard," he said before sneezing slightly. "And exhale that smoke in a different direction please."
Zakeru grinned around the cigarette and exhaled a puff right in his friend's face. With a quick duck, he avoided his friend's punch.

A small smile touched C.J.'s lips as he approached the two friends. "Hey there," he said, attempting not to cough at the smoke hanging in the air. He glanced towards Zakeru, then looked away, as if shy. He bit his lower lip and turned his eyes to the ground, suddenly aware that he was talking to people that, as far as he was aware, didn't even think of him as friends.

Zakeru glanced at C.J. and blinked his orange eyes before they widened. "Hello," he said before sharing a side glance with Sculyr, who shrugged slightly. Zakeru leaned back against the wall again as he took a long drag on the cigarette. His eyes giving C.J. a quick once-over.

Zakeru shrugged. "I don't mind and Skull could really care less. And besides, I think he was getting a little annoyed with me," he said with a sidelong glance at his blonde-haired friend. The other male snorted and rolled his clear blue eyes.
"Right, Lizard. I got annoyed with you a while ago, but yet I am still here. You've grown on me like a rash," Sculyr said with sarcasm in his voice. Which earned him a cuff on the back of the head. Effect? Sculyr pulled the cigarette from his friend's mouth and tossed it on the ground before stomping it out. Zakeru's orange eyes turned slightly red as they narrowed into a glare; Sculyr ignored it. "Still don't know how you became such a chain smoker anyways."

C.J. grinned slightly. "Great, thanks." He hesitantly leaned against the wall next to Zakeru, taking care not to step on the burnt-out cigarette. "So, what are you guys up to?"
