((Ohmigosherz, I totally forgot about this RP, sorry!))

Ren blinked out of his half unconscious state. He listened for what she was hearing, not being able to hear anything.  Nonetheless, he walked closer to her, as to protect her from her harm and any fear she had. He took her hand, a reas.suring smile on his face, as he began to walk forward.

"If anything tries to hurt you, I'll stop it before it can touch you." He grinned, continuing at a slow enough pace for her to be by his side.

Crystal calmed down when Ren held her hand.  The noise was still there, and was still loud.  Vampires only hunted at night, so it couldn't be one..... unless they hadn't drank blood in such a long time and they needed blood right now even though it's not night.  And it couldn't have been a werewolf either, probably just some animal.

But right when she just as.sumed it was some animal, the creature hiding jumped out from where it was hiding, and to her surprise it wasn't an animal like she thought it was.  He was a human, just like her, or was he?  He was taller than Crystal, but not as tall as Ren and had brown hair.

"W-who are you?" Crystal asked, in a frightened voice.  She was shocked, why'd he jump out at them like that?  Was he crazy or something?  He looked like a human to her, and if he were a vampire he would've been burned by the sun.

Ren turned around quickly, wielding a knife in his hand to cut anyone who was willing to attack. His eyes widened in surprise and he slipped his knife back in his pocket, somewhat regretting that Crystal had to see him do that. Stepping in front of her, between she and the stranger before him, he hissed. 

"You're not a vampire, so what harm do you intend upon us?" He spoke harshly to the creature, partly human of sorts. 

"Yes, I am not a vampire.  I'm a human." The man said.  "And you're a vampire, aren't you?" He glared at Ren, to show him he disliked him.  "I hate vampires, and that includes you.  I intend no harm upon the girl, but I do intend harm upon you."  The man took a wooden stake out of his pocket and smiled in a devilish way.

Crystal stared at the wooden stake he was holding.  Wooden stakes could kill vampires, and that wasn't a good thing for Ren.  She didn't want him to get killed, but she had no idea what to do.

Ren's eyes widened, and his face became a bitter scowl. Backing up slowly, he scooped Crystal up, running away quickly. If he'd left her there, then the man would have done something to get him to save her. He'd seen it far too many times. Vampire hunters, those cruel beings that planned to destroy his kind. He wasn't like them though. He had no intention of hurting Crystal or any other human.

Glancing at Crystal every now and then, he checked to make sure she was okay, being they were going at a fairly quick speed, rather, a speed far greater than any human could run. Seeing his only escape, he jumped into a hole in an alley, the sewer. The stench was terrible, and Ren figured the man had things to find vampires, and efficiently destroy him, but it wouldn't happen.  

He gently set Crystal down, walking slowly down the narrow pathway in the sewer. "Are you all right?" He asked. He was afraid that the man's looks could have injured him, or his annoying and somewhat creepy voice. He'd been hunted four times in his life as a vampire, nearly getting killed once. But if Crystal was there with him, there was no way he would let down. 

Ren shook his head with confusion. "Let's hope not." He honestly didn't know whether or not the man would find them, but he hoped he wouldn't die by being staked. Pondering that in his mind, that actually really was the only way he could die, but he hoped it just never happened to him.

Hugging Crystal, he emitted a short sigh. "As long as you're with me, I promise I won't let him hurt you." He whispered, though he knew his own self was originally the one in danger.
