((Okay.))

Crystal opened her eyes and yawned.  She left her bed slightly sleepy, and brushed her teeth.  She ate her breakfast, which was scrambled eggs and a waffle.  When she was finished, she went outside.

Then she remembered about Ren and the vampires.  She shivered at the thought of the vampires, but thinking of Ren somehow cheered her up and made her happy.  She missed him already. 

Ren walked down the street side, hands in pockets, finding himself humming a soft tune. Sure it was from a heavy metal song, but no one would notice that. He kept his eyes open for other vampires, out in this ridiculous heat and blinding light. He had to keep his hood up, for though he didn't sparkle, like in those ridiculous movies he'd recently seen, and had no clue why, it was still fairly bright out, and he didn't quite enjoy the UV rays on his skin. Perhaps it would be good for humans to know that vampires had skin and senses more sensitive than their own. Far more sensitive.

He kept his eyes closed but continued to walk forward, using his hearing to mainly lead him. It wasn't always reliable, but it would do for now. He wondered if he would ever see the girl he rescued the night before ever again. She seemed friendly, odd to him, that she would just go out at dark being lonely. She was lonely she said. The thought made him slightly smile. He too, was lonely. He would often search for a companion like she would. That was one thing they had in common. 

Ren continued following her, hands in pockets, eye staring straight at the back of her head. He was across the street from her, but she seemed not to be noticing that he was following her. HE took small steps, matching them up with the pace she was walking. Coming to a corner with a stop sign, he realized it'd be best to leave if he didn't want to get caught. However, he couldn't; there was something longing inside of him, reaching out.

He decided to cross the street, his only option besides going home. If she caught him following her, well, it'd be an awkward moment. Honestly though, it was the first human he knew that he'd saved from vampires, that hadn't screamed or shouted at him to go away. Maybe it was a sign.

Crystal stared at him for a moment, slightly confused.  First he was following her, then when she saw him he just ran away.  What was he doing?  Crystal knew he couldn't have been a robber, trying to rob her.  Because if he was, he wouldn't have ran.  Crystal isn't scary, and she didn't even have her cell phone with her.  He could have just pushed her to the ground and take her money and run away easily.  And she didn't even have money with her either.  So it would be 'pushed her to the ground and wondered why she didn't have money and run away'.  Not 'pushed her to the ground and take her money and run away easily'.

Crystal was starting to get a bit curious.  She had so many questions just waiting to be solved bouncing around in her head like, Who is he? Or, Could he be Ren? They were just bouncing around in there.  She wanted to go after him, even though she was slightly scared.  But she couldn't help it.  She took off after him, yelling, "Wait!  I just want to talk!"

Ren turned around, his hearing and vision was messed up. Leaning against what he thought to be a tree or a pole of some sort, he slumped to the ground, covering his eyes. When his eyes had adjusted to the light, he sighed in relief, looking up to see Crystal coming near him. He rushed to stand, finding he'd made his way into a park? And the same park she was in last night. He was at least glad the scent of blood was gone. 

She... wanted to talk? He paused for a moment, stopping his running. Turning back slowly, he decided to let her catch up. He hoped she wouldn't be like the others, asking why he saved her or anything like that. It was obvious that anyone would try to rescue someone about to be eaten by ravenous bloodthirsty monsters. He turned around, facing her direction. 

Crystal caught up with him, panting.  When she finally caught her breath, she looked at him, this time positive that it was Ren.  "Why were you following me like that, trying not to be seen?  And then when I saw you, you ran away?" She said, sounding very sad.  "I missed you so much, I-I-" She paused, and was getting a bit emotional and tears were starting to fill her eyes.  "I love you."  She wasn't even embarras.sed about saying that in public, she just had to get those words out of her mouth.  It was true, she loved him.  She didn't know why, but she just did.

After saying that, she took a step forward and hugged him, tears streaming down her face.  Normally people would have been embarras.sed if they did that in public, but she didn't feel embarras.sed at all.  "Thank you so much for saving me." She said, her voice kind of shaky from crying.

Ren was shocked. He didn't know how else to explain it. This was probably the most odd thing that had happened to him in weeks, months, years even. He gently pushed the girl away, not far away, but just by a little. 

"Wait, you love me?" He emphasized on the word love. He could have laughed at her because of what she'd just said, knowing that no one could immediately love someone after just meeting them. Then again, maybe it was different with rescued victims.

He bent down a little to match her height. He was a little taller than her. "You can't love me. It's impossible." He shook his head. That would never work.

Ren shook his head. "I..." He didn't want to say it, afraid she might run around telling the whole world. "I'm not like you." He whispered in her ear, taking a couple steps back. If he'd plain admitted he was a vampire, he didn't have any idea what she would have done, but he pictured in his mind that it wouldn't have been a good thing to do.

He hoped she would understand, get the picture, see why they couldn't be together even if they wanted to. "I'm flattered by your emotions, but it wouldn't work between us. Because I'm different." I urged onward. It wasn't time to spill out the whole truth. I'd let her wonder for a bit, before spilling the beans.
