Sugar shot a glare at Dreamcloud. Then she turned to Applesong. "Sugar. But here I was known as Wolfbite."

Gorsepaw's ears pricked in interest. She wondered who this Sugar or Wolfbite was.

Sugar shook her head. "Many were forced to! Taken by the Twolegs themselves and bound by their leashes." she snarled. "Do you have no sympathy for the kits out there being tortured by Twolegs? Not all live lives of luxury!"

Eagletalon's ear twitched. He was still sort of sick, but he got up (shakily) and padded out. He didn't feel very okay. But Eagletalon forced himself out. This wasn't a warrior or Gladestar calling, it was Applesong. The medicine cat. He trotted to her side. "Yes?" he rasped, aching all over. Eagletalon noticed Sugar before he even uttered his question. "Wolfbite!" he gasped, voice still awfully hoarse.

Sugar nuzzled him on the cheek. "You look ill." she mewed, worried.

Eagletalon didn't move for a second. He was letting memories flood in first. He remembered her naming ceremony... She was so proud to be called "Wolfpaw", and even happier when she got the name "Wolfbite" coming from her deadly bite. He shuddered. Too deadly. Training was terrible with her, because, even though she wasn't trying to, Wolfbite hurt the others. Not on purpose, of course. Eagletalon shoved the thoughts away aruptly. "I am." he replied finally. "She smells of Twolegs..." he whispered very, very quietly.

Sugar looked hurt. "I left to help the kits and mothers out in Twolgplace." she whispered, looking ashamed for being helpful. Applesong didn't have to look for her. She didn't have the right to yell at her for being kind to those without food and care. Stupid furball. Sugar forced her fur to lie flat (or flat-ish, because it was quite thick and sort of stood up a bit anyways).

((Are we going to have another war?))

"You really are stupid" Applesong chuckled. "What they do in the twoleg place is not any of our buissness, if you wanted them to have a better life, you should have brought the mothers and kits here, where they could hunt. Even if they were 'trapped' it would not be difficult to escape from a twoleg, no matter the situation." Applesong raised her head to the camp entrance. Gladestar was returning, and Crowpaw carried a snake.

Gladestar walked into camp proudly. She noticed Wolfbite, but the situation would have to wait. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather beneath the high stone for a clan meeting."

((What do you want Shadowpaw's warrior name to be?))

Applesong's tail swished angrily. "Just wait until you get sick" she muttered angrily, going back to the medicine cat's den. She plopped down at the entrance, and flicked her ear to Eagletalon to come back. 

((*thinks* Shadowsong. It's the first thing that I thought of...))

Sugar sniffed. "If she's so sure, she should try it herself." she snarled. Bring the mothers and kits here? What if they didn't have warrior abilities? She sat down, and rested her tail on her paws. The ground was moist, but she didn't care. Stupid Applesong. She probably didn't even care about the starving cats out there. She just wanted to be more of a medicine cat. Get more noticed or something. Her fur bristled. If Applesong had an apprentice, he or she would probably be miserable. Sugar forced her fur to flatten, but it did not.

Shadowpaw blinked. She poked her head out of the apprentice's den before stepping out. Shadowpaw felt excitement all over. Her paws tingled. Then she froze. There was a kittypet or a loner or something here. But Gladestar didn't seem to care, so she just flounced over to the high stone.

Vanillapaw went after her, and took a seat. She wondered what was happening. But it was a Clan meeting, so it had to be important. Vanillapaw felt excitement radiating from Shadowpaw's fur, and she got excited, too. Vanillapaw settled down on the dry (ish) ground.

Eagletalon mouthed a "bye" to Wolfbite and padded towards the medicine cat den. He sat outside of it, not wanting to really miss anything. He wanted to see it all.

Swiftwing was right behind Crowpaw. She trotted over to Vanillapaw and sat down beside her. The new apprentice wasn't too young. Her ear twitched in interest.

((-looks up warrior ceremonies-))

"I, Gladestar, leader of Darkclan call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon these two apprentices. They have trained hard to learn your noble code, and I commend them to you as warriors in their turn." Gladestar looked down at Crowpaw. "Crowpaw, do you swear to uphold the warrior code and protect your clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"Yes" Crowpaw said, glowing with pride.

"Shadowpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and protect your clan, even at the cost of your life?" 

Shadowpaw was thankful that she had groomed her fur well inside the apprentice's den. "I do." she mewed proudly. She stood up straight, but not TOO straight. She didn't want to look like a twig or anything. Her tail quivered with excitement.

Vanillapaw grinned. This really was a special meeting! She felt happy for her friend, but still didn't quite understand what was happening.

Swiftwing shifted slightly to get a better view. She smiled, looking up at Crowpaw and Shadowpaw. Tomorrow, they would sleep in the warrior's den. She wondered if there would be an invasion or a fox while they would sit their vigil.

Eagletalon gave a weak smile. He had always liked the two apprentices. Applesong would be swelling with pride and happiness. Or maybe she was still angry? He wasn't sure, but decided that she SHOULD be proud and happy. Her brother's naming ceremony! How amazing was that? Gorsepaw would be happy, too. He heard movement behind him.

Gorsepaw was very happy, indeed. She stepped out of the medicine cat den quietly to witness it. Gorsepaw sat down beside Eagletalon, but didn't take her gaze off of Shadowpaw.

"Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your warrior names, Crowpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Crowflight. StarClan honors your intelligence and your quick wit, and we welcome you as a full warrior of Darkclan." Gladestar paused, turning to Shadowpaw. "Shadowpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Shadowsong. StarClan honors your comp*censored*ion and your integrity, and we welcome you as a full warrior of Darkclan."

Crowflight's chest was puffed up with pride. He was a warrior!

"Minkclaw would be very proud of you Shadowsong" Gladestar whispered in her ear. Minkclaw had been her mentor. 

"Shadowsong! Crowflight!" Applesong chanted. She was happy for her brother. He finally got the warrior name he had always wanted.

Minnowfoot, Ashflight, Dreamcloud and Spottedpaw chanted as well, happy for their clanmates.

Shadowsong smiled. Pride glowed inside her. She was finally a warrior. Her apprentice days flashed through her mind. She would sit vigil tonight. But her heart hurt. "I know." she mewed to Gladestar. Minkclaw. She missed him. Shadowsong was happy, though. She knew that he would be happy, too. Looking down on her. From StarClan.

Gorsepaw cheered with Applesong. "Shadowsong! Crowflight!" They were warriors. She felt proud of them.

Eagletalon would've chanted their names, but his throat still hurt. His tail flicked in admiration for the young new warriors.

Swiftwing was proud of them. She knew that Shadowsong would mourn the loss of Minkclaw, and hoped that it didn't bother her too much. She needed to stay focused for her warrior tasks and such.

Gladestar smiled at the two new warriors as the cheering went down. "You two know what to do" she said.

Crowflight purred, and leaped down from the high stone to sit near Dreamcloud and Minkclaw.

Gladestar padded down from the rocks. "Wolfbite" she demanded, still in her announcement voice. She padded up to the silky white she cat. "Come with me" she said softly.
