Fremmed glared at Vert in irritation. He didn't understand the Montecko. Just because you've tripped over a root doesn't mean you have to be scared of all roots. Fremmed looked away to glare at some ob
ject in the room. He was trying to be nice to Vert, and all he gets in return in fear. He didn't think he was scarey at all.

Vert's shoulders sagged as he realised he'd somehow upset Fremmed. What was he doing wrong? When he pretended he was equal with the humans, he got punished, and when he said he was afraid of them, he got ignored? What did Fremmed want him to say? ''I'm sorry... I-it's just...'' He paused, trying to think of words to describe what he thought. ''I've never had a reason not to be afraid of humans before...''

Fremmed scowled. "That doesn't mean anything. I'm obviously not like y the human you've met because we can communicate." He glanced at Vert through the corner of his eye and pouted. He wondered how he could 'punish' Vert for calling his scary. He didn't want to hurt the Montecko, but it would be nice to bother him in some way...

Vert sighed again and looked down on the floor, murmuring a soft apology again. ''Sorry...'' He said, but he was side-tracked and distracted. He'd gotten his master upset again, and over something so stupid as to whether he feared him or not. Fremmed was a human; no matter how strange a human may be, he was still a human, and Vert had learned long ago of the things associated with that word, none of which were pleasant.

Fremmed rolled his eyes. "Quit apologizing. Saying such simple words doesn't help in any way." He sighed. The situation was getting very awkward very quickly. He could practically see Vert getting ready to cringe. Fremmed leaned over and touched the Montecko's knee. "Hey... I'm not going to hit you..." He mumbled softly.

Vert tensed up as his master touched him, but he tried his best to relax when he heard his words. The Montecko looked up at Fremmed's face, wondering if there really was nothing to fear about the strange human.''Thank you...'' Vert murmured quietly, thinking of his master's firt comment. ''I'm sorry I don't know any better words to say.'' He said, wondering what the quality of his words had to do with anything. No matter what was said, if it meant the same thing, it meant the same thing.

Fremmed paused, thinking over Vert's words. He realized that he was still touching the Montecko, and he pulled back, blushing. "Um, yeah, that's fine..." He mumbled. God, what was with him today? There was obviously something seriously wrong with him. Fremmed looked away and started playing with the carpet.

Vert worried that he'd upset his master again, and wondered what he should do to make him feel better. Smiling hesitantly, he reached over and touched Fremmed's arm. He had asked him not to be afraid of him- more or less- and that was what he was trying to do, but he still wasn't sure it would go down well. ''Sorry if I've upset you, m-Fremmed... Are you alright?'' He asked, concern visible even though he tried to hide it.

Fremmed jerked back. "Don't touch me." He snapped. The teen got up and left the room. He stormed down the steps and into the kitchen. He ran his hand through his hair and grumbled to himself. Fremmed's heat pounded, and he felt light-headed.

Vert sighed, and pulled his hand back to his side almost reluctantly, even though Fremmed was gone. He hung his head and waited for the other boy to return, wondering if he even would. He felt saddened that his master jerked so much at his touch, but he expected to be able to touch the Montecko anytime he pleased..? He had been right about Fremmed all the time. He was just like all the rest...
While thinking these things, Vert started to feel tired, and his head began to droop until his chin was nearly resting on his chest.

Fremmed paced about. He had never felt like this before. For some reason, it made him feel... happy. He tried to think of all the emotions he knew about. None of them matched what was going on with him other than... No, it couldn't be that...
Fremmed moved to the table and took a seat. He put his head in his hands and closed his eyes.

The tiredness the Montecko felt continued to grow, until he was barely awake anymore. Eventually, his hands at his sides and his head against his chest, he no longer was awake. His breathing became deeper, and more like that of someone sleeping than awake, which in all fairness, he was. Before he'd fallen asleep, he'd been thinking about Fremmed, and how he would never understand the other boy.

Fremmed finally gave up and went back upstairs. He walked slowly up the steps until he reached his room. The teen glanced in and saw that Vert was sleeping. He walked into the room and looked down at the Montecko. Vert was kinda cute... In a weird, green way. Fremmed took the blanket off his bed and sat down beside the other male. He wrapped it around them and leaned against Vert's shoulder.

[[Hehehe. Ookies. Vert's gonna have a heart attack. xD]] Vert woke up, several hours later, and he knew before he even opened his eyes that something was different. He was warm, for one thing, and he was almost certain there was something leaning against him. His glowing-green eyes flickered open, and he nearly jumped when he saw Fremmed next to him. Nearly, but not quite... he didn't want to wake the other boy. For all that Vert hated about Fremmed being able to touch him whenever he wanted, he loved the feeling of having Fremmed so close. The thought that the human might not have meant to be there crossed his mind, but he shook it away when he realised there was a blanket covering them.
Smiling softly, he closed his eyes again while he waited for his master to wake up, but he found he couldn't go back to sleep. He was too busy wondering exactly what his feelings towards Fremmed were.

Still sleeping, Fremmed snuggled Vert, wrapping his arms around the Montecko. His eyes flickered open as he started to wake, but he closed them. It would be best if Vert didn't know he was awake. Waking up meant that he would have to let go of the other male and then everything would get awkward again. If his family suddenly came into the room for some reason, they would surly kill him.

Is this 'cos my charrie punched yours? xD Torture poor Vert whydon'tcha. |D]] As Fremmed wrapped his arms around Vert, the Montecko felt his heart pound, and was sure the other boy would hear it, especially with how they were sitting. He decided he liked Fremmed better when he was sleeping; he didn't get mood swings half as much, and now he was... well, hugging him. Vert awkwardly moved an arm so it was wrapped around the other boy, feeling his cheeks burn. He'd suddenly figured out exactly what he thought about Fremmed, and he knew the human would kill him if he ever found out.

Fremmed sighed contently. He didn't remember the last time he felt so happy. He could feel Vert wrap his arms around around him. He couldn't believe that Vert would do something like that. Fremmed smiled and hugged the Montecko back.

"Yeah," Fremmed mumbled, his face still pressed against Vert. "Why?" He worried for a second that the Montecko would push him off and start rambling off about how Fremmed was acting. He pushed the thought away because he knew that Vert wouldn't do something like that.

Vert breathed a sigh of relief. So, his master was cuddling up to him like that, not pushing him away even though he was hugging him back, and he was awake? Vert wasn't one hundred percent certain what that meant, but he was happy. ''No reason.'' He replied softly, closing his eyes. ''Just wondering.''
