Vert took a deep breath before finally standing up once more. Fremmed... there was absoloutely no doubt in his mind any more about him. He ould understand Montecko's perfectly well, and knew they understood him. He just didn't admit it, and chose to mock them when given the chance. Well, if he claimed he couldn't understand Montecko's, and that Montecko's couldn't understand him, he wouldn't bother replying. After all, if a Montecko didn't hear the question, he couldn't reply, could he?

Being as ticked as he was, he decided to go and do something stupid. Get the human so ticked he'd have to admit to being able to understand him to punish him for it. So, as he walked over to the next plant, he spoke. ''You know, I'm fairly certain you're the dumber of the two of us. After all, I can understand what you say, and you can't understand what I say.''

Fremmed ignored his words. A year back, one of the other Montecko had figured out that he could understand to. He would always do the same thing Vert was doing now. Fremmed took a sip of water. "I don't understand how you manage to stay out here all day and tend to flowers in this heat." It wasn't really hot out, and Fremmed winced at his own words. Maybe the Montecko wouldn't notice his mistake.

"I wonder what you're talking about." He continued. "Nothing too intelligent, I suppose. Good thing Mother is working right now, she hates your strange speak." He thought for a second. "She once had Father cut out one of you guises tongues because he wouldn't quit talking."

The Montecko just shook his head as he kneeled down next to the final plant, a small flower, this time, but all the petals had withered and died. ''Well, you may wish to inform your mother that she should take better care of her garden.'' Vert replied angrily, cupping his hands around the plant and continuing. ''I don't see why you find our speech so annoying. I've found humans are so much louder than we are.'' He said, scowling. What gave his mother the right to do such damage to a Montecko like that?

Trying to calm himself, he murmured softly under his breath once more as his eyes began to glow and his hands took on the green hue. He lurched forward as his life began pouring into the plant the humans used as decoration and never cared for. Why was he feeling so sick today? The plant wasn't reviving as it usually did, but much more slowly, and Vert couldn't figure out why. Growing mad with the amount of time it was taken, he did something he thought he'd grown out of long ago. He sent a huge burst of life into the plant, far too big for it to have been healthy for either him or the flower. The red petals of the flower opened up and grew even more beuatiful than they had been the first time round, but Vert's reaction was about the opposite. He fell forward into the flower-bed, narrowly missing landing on the flower he'd just revived. He didn't get up, but remained motionless, eyes closed, breathing heavily.

Fremmed jumped up in surprise and ran over to the Montecko, tripping over something on his way there. Dropping to the ground, he searched his mind of how to tell of a Montecko was still alive. He rolled Vert over so his face was to the sun and saw that the male's chest was still rising and falling. He was relieved that Vert was alive. Not that he cared or anything, but his father would be pissed if he managed to kill the Montecko on the first day of work.

Hesitantly, Fremmed shook Vert's shoulder, wincing as he felt the scales under the creature's shirt. "Hey there? You okay?" He asked.

Vert's eyes flickered open for a brief moment as Fremmed shook his shoulder, but they shut again quickly. He didn't even take in the fact that Fremmed was on the floor next to him, or that he had been moved onto his back; his mind was a whirling mass of confusing thoughts that he didn't understand in the slightest.

His skin was pale, and he didn't exactly look in the best of health. To be honest, he looked like death warmed up. The only thought he could think that he actually understood was why exactly he was so weak and unable to move when all he'd been doing was reviving plants.

Fremmed didn't see Vert open his eyes, he had been to distracted with freaking out. He shook the Montecko's shoulder again, a bit harder this time. "O-okay, it isn't funny anymore." He stuttered out. "Wake up." He shook it again. "Seriously Vert, you're fooling no one. The joke's over." He stated, hoped that the Montecko's name would make him wake up. When he realized it wasn't working, he really knew something was wrong. Vert's skin was no longer the disgusting color it naturally was, now it was pale... pale... Fremmed didn't know what to call the color, but it was one that made nightmares. Was Vert dieing? Fremmed had never seen someone or something die before, but here was Vert, barely breathing.

Fremmed racked his mind of things that he could do. The class he was forced to take of Monteckos never taught him how to revive one. He knew only simple things about health, nothing that could surly help him with this. His mind suddenly hit the one thing he had been told about in health class. He really didn't remember the name, but it was when you press down and then release your hands over the heart rapidly before kissing the person to get air in their lungs.

Fremmed placed his hands over Vert's heart - or at least where he thought it was - and started pressing and relaxing. From afar, it looked simple, but he was quickly made tired because of it. After a few times of doing it, he froze. Just about everything he had been taught said to never touch a Montecko other than to beat it. Fremmed pushed the thought away, he had also be taught that no one could understand the creatures. Licking his lips, he bent down and placed his over Vert's, blowing air into the Montecko's mouth in hopes of saving him

Vert's eyes flickered open to see Fremmeds face, and it was at this moment that he realised he hadn't been breathing for a moment, and that air was now being pushed into his lungs. It took yet another second to realize that it was Fremmed pushing it in. Coughing a little, he sat up and looked very... dizzy. In all fairness, he felt more than a little dizzy, and although he was feeling ill, he was at least concious now.

As the thought that his master, Fremmed, had not only gone against his teachings, that hurting Montecko's was the only reason you were allowed to touch one, he had also saved his life... by doing CPR. This human had actually given him his breath, and Vert didn't even know for sure that Fremmed could understand him in order to recieve his thanks. ''Th-thank you...'' He stuttered, moving his head down for a moment as he started coughing heavily, his shoulders jolting up and down as he did so. ''You... you saved my life. I shall... I shall be eternally grateful.'' He added, coughing between words. As he leaned back a little, he saw that his knees, which he had been coughing on, were now spattered with blood. The thought that he was coughing up blood made him sick and nauseous even more.

[[alhgouarthjapweioasdhoghaehrsdkgh I gots an idea! What if Vert gets really sick and Fremmed tries to get help for him, because he's found out that he's in lover, and when Vert is all better, creepy father dude gets all pissed that Fremmed helped out a Montecko and fell in love, so he attacks Free and Vert saves him with his weird powers?]]

Fremmed frowned at the blood. If whatever Vert had was contagious, then it was quite possible that the other Monteckos could also get it. Father would kill him if all of the Monteckos suddenly died off and he had the chance to stop it. Fremmed slowly got to his feet. "Come on, we got to get you out of this heat. How are you feeling?" He held his hand out to the Montecko.

[[DFHDFGDFI LOVE IT.]]

Vert awkwardly took the boys hand, getting to his feet with a bit of pain and closing his yes for a moment, before looking back to Fremmed. ''I'm... better than I was, thank you.'' He said, although it would be a wonder if the other boy actually understod him. He was speaking so quietly, he was nearly inaudible, and the voice that could be heard was shakey, at best.

Fremmed chuckled humorlessly. "Never do that again, Vert." He told the Montecko, and started walked when Vert had stood. "Tell me if you're having issues walking. Don't want you falling." Was doing CPR on someone counted as kissing them? Fremmed hoped not. He had never kissed someone before, and he was hoping that he wouldn't until he found the right person.

Vert was already having trouble walking, but didn't want to admit it to Fremmed. ''I'll... I'll try not to do it again.'' He replied seriously, as if he would actually be able to help it and Fremmed was mad. Stumbling slightly, he quickly fell behind Fremmed, and realized his vision was growing misty. His normally bright, green eyes were clouded over and dull.

Fremmed, glancing back at Vert, went to him and helped him up again. "Please don't like to me, Vert." He put his arm around the Montecko's waist like he had before. Glancing up into Vert's eyes, he knew something was wrong again. "Come on, we really need to get you inside."

''I-inside?'' Vert's voice was still shaky, and he now had his arm resting on Fremmed's shoulder, leaning on him heavily as he found he could barely walk. Not that it'd make much difference. Vert hadn't exactly led a good life, and he was certainly not heavy. His vision was blurred completely, and he could only see about a foot in front of himself. ''Do we... Do we have to go inside?'' Every previous journey he'd made inside one of the humans homes, it had been met with a beating. Because of this, it made him hope that he had misunderstood and they were going inside somewhere else.

Fremmed glanced at him. "Um... Yeah. Would you rather stay out here in the blistering heat?" He asked, making it seem like it was hotter than it really was. Vert needed to rest somewhere cool until Fremmed knew he wasn't going to pass out again. He had seen Monteckos die from over exhaustion, and he didn't want that to happen to Vert.

Wait a second, why did he care? It was probably the kiss getting to him.

Vert wanted to argue that it wasn't all that hot out, but just didn't have the energy. Maybe it would be good to be inside, after all, he thought. ''I... I guess you're right...'' He mumbled, stumbling slightly even while having his arm over the other boys shoulder.

They reached the door to the house and Fremmed pushed it open, practically dragging Vert inside. "Of course I am right. Why wouldn't I be?" He snorted. "We're going up the stairs." He told the Montecko. If this had been one of his friends, he would've just thrown them on the couch, but he wasn't supposed to let a Montecko into the house. That meant Vert would have to hide in his room.

Vert felt his stomach lurch even more than it had been doing. Not only inside, but upstairs as well? He'd never been past the first floor of any house. What if someone saw him. ''Oh... Ok...'' He replied softly, allowing himself to be led by the human. He began wondering why they were going upstairs, but decided to think nothing more of it.

Fremmed carried Vert up the stairs, trying to hold him as much as he could so the Montecko wouldn't strain himself from the climb up. They turned left down a long, narrow hallway, then left again into Fremmed's room. His room was pretty much bare and organized, there was nothing on the floor or on the bed and only the deck looked like it had been used, school things scattered over the wood. "You can lay on the bed."

As Vert was going up the stairs, he figured Fremmed was probably near enough carrying him, as he didn't feel much extra strain. When they reached what wa presumably the human's room, Vert collapsed into a seated position on the bed, his head resting on his chest as his dull eyes flickered closed for a moment. ''Thank you, Fremmed...'' He murmured, barely awake.

Fremmed grunted in response. "I'm going to find some food for you, so just... Just stay here." He realized that it was doubtful that Vert would able to move, even if he wanted to. Fremmed wanted to get some high in sugar food that will hopefully give his system a boost that it needed to recover. He also wanted Vert to get some kind of liquid into his system. Fremmed turned to his door and walked out.
