Muster got up and stretched, he ran the whole way back. He stopped and found a place to sleep, he had about 5 minutes at a run tomorrow. He sighed and went to sleep.

Shadow stayed up all night, waiting at the territory's edge to see Muster's form come bursting into her sight, but she could not find him through out the night.
Eventually the sun began its climb over the horizon, something Shadow would have enjoyed watching if it weren't for her constant worry.
I\'m extremely sorry for my absence. I\'ve been very busy and was recently attacked by 3 dogs and am currently recovering.

Muster woke up before stretching and walking along the lake before diving in, hew swam before getting out and shook the water droplets off.

Shadow's tired eyes soon caught sight of the male's face and she forgot how tired she was as a dogish smile caused her to wag her tail and let her tongue hang from her jaws. Quickly the female gather herself back together and sat up straight, bored look back on her face and ears perked and forward. She waited silently for Muster at the territory's edge.

Muster watched Shadow's ex
pression before changing into a bored look. "Don't think I saw that!" Muster laughed but stopped suddenly and tried to ease the pain in his leg. He sat down and licked it staying where he was for a bit.

Shadow straightened out enough to be able to look down on Muster. "Where have you been? Where are your charges?"

"I went to the pups original pack." he stated simply in between licks. He got up and looked at his leg before realising he will survive.

"Calm down, okay?" Muster said fear filling his eyes. "Nobody knows the real story." Noctis muttered loud enough for her to hear. He bowled his head and shuffled his paws, his tail neatly curved around him.

Shadow relaxed her tense muscles and looked at him in anguish. 'I'm sorry.', the words wouldn't leave her jaws as she touched her nose to his right shoulder.

"Nobody knows the story, besides me." Noctis whispered. He nudged himself deeply into Shadow and for the first time he felt sparks in his stomach soar at Shadow's fur against his.

Shadow closed her eyes and let the male bury his face in her fur, shoulders drooping out of their normal, raised position. She allowed her dominant pose to go completely away while comforting Muster and kept her nose firmly on his shoulder.
Golden eyes watched from the bushes as such affection was shown to an outsider. A bright white smile flashed across the watcher's face before they silently went back to the pack camp. The flick of a white tail as they left the only thing giving them away.

Muster look at Shadow's eyes. "What's wrong?" He asked as feat flickered through his eyes. His heart raced and it wasn't from Shadow this time. "Should I leave?" He asked, so, innocently. He looked around and saw nothing.

The she-wolf's eyes flickered open. "Nothing, it's fine. I was just", Shadow paused as she thought of and excuse,"thinking. That's all." The owner of the golden eyes quickly raced to her alpha to tell her all about what she saw. "Alpha!", her excited yips rang out. "What is it my darling?", came the old she-wolf's reply. The white wolf's voice quieted as she told her friend what she saw. "Shadow, she...", the wolf paused and thought for a moment of how to word it,"She showed affection, alpha! To someone not in her family! I think she finally found someone that could potentially become her mate!"

Muster looked down embarrassed before plunging into the ground and ran off. When he was far away and lay down and rested his head on his paws.

Shadow was about to say something else when the male darted off and left her standing there with her mouth open, about to speak. Then she shook her head and walked the opposite direction to go to her den and truly think.

As evening drew close, Noctis got up and caught something to eat and ate it quickly. He walked quietly and silently with his head down and his tail in between his legs. When he arrived, he trotted into his den and lay down for a nice, long, relaxing sleep.

Shadow saw him come back to camp and raced to his den as soon as she knew he would be asleep. She tip-toed into the dark cave and found the furry mass of Muster, fast asleep. Walking a bit farther into the cave she grabbed a fur from it's shadows and laid it down near the sleeping form before sitting down on the soft fur.

When Muster woke up, he saw that Shadow was next to him. He sighed, before getting up and walking out hoping she wouldn't hear him.

Some time during the night Shadow had curled up and fallen asleep. But when Muster got up the she wolf's head raised and her tired eyes opened. "Muster?", her tired voice asked as she set her head back down and continued to watch him.
