Alex jumped at Eulalia's voice. He turned to face her, standing up as he did so. "Hi," he said cautiosly, being sure to keep his distance. "I..." He hesitated, looking for the words that wouldn't make her run. "I came to make things right, Eulalia."

Eulalia stayed sitting down and looked up at Alex with a tiny smile. "I'm sorry for how I just sort of left you yesterday," She looked away and pulled her knees up to her chest. "I just didn't know what was happening."

Alex could only stare at her for a moment, stunned. "Sorry?" He asked incredulously, confused by Eulalia's apology. "What do you have to be sorry for? I'm the one who shanged into a wold and back again rightin front of you." He shook his head, sinking back down again until he was sitting under the tree in the shade again. Alex watched Eulalia as he ran a hand through his hair, still wary.

Eulalia turned her head only slightly and looked at Alex out of the corner of her eye. "I could have helped you or something," She said with a sigh. "And it's not exactly your fault that you changed into a wolf, right?" She looked up at the branches of the tree and could see the birds fluttering around up there happily.

Alex laughed and smiled shakily, still stunned by Eulalia's reasoning. "Erm... Can we go somewhere a little bit more...private?" he asked suddenly, looking around and noticing the open street around them.

Alex's gaze darted around for a moment, and then it slid back to Eulalia. "Don't worry; I'm fine now," he as.sured her, reading the worry in her gaze. "I can control the wolf-shifting now. Um... I suppose can we head towards the park? There are some trailst hat lead off of there that are pretty quiet."

Alex let go of her hand for a moment, surprised that she had even taken it in the first place. He bgean to reach tentatively out agian, but dropped his hand, feeling as awkward as she seemed to be. He walked beside her as they made their way closer to the park, feeling anxiety gnaw at him.

Eulalia glanced at Alex quickly and bit her lip in thought. She looked up at the sky and sighed quietly. They finally reached the park and Eulalia stopped walking. She turned to face Alex and looked at him expectantly. "Is this private enough?" She asked with an awkward laugh.

Alex motioned to a nearby bench as he nodded. "This is fine, as long as no one else comes near," he replied, shifting his weight from foot to foot nervously.

Alex blew out a breath and sat down at the other end of the bench. "I just wanted to explain myself. I'm sorry for bringing you in to this." he siad honestly, looking at his hands for a moment before peeking at Eulalia. "So... As you know, I'm a wolf shifter. My whole family is. There are different types of shifters. And werecreatures. And vampires." He said, letting everything come out ina rush. "I am acting as a human so that I can receive my education, but I'm dropping out later this year to travel to one of the local packs and join them." He looked at Eulalia again, trying hard to read ehr ex

"But..." Eulalia once again found herself speechless as she stared at him in disbelief. "So... Vampires, and werewolves, and things like that are real?" She sighed and leaned back against the bench, crossing her arms. She stared at the ground for awhile before looking back at him. "I don't really know what to say..." She whispered.

Alex shrugged and smiled sheepishly. "To sum it up... Yes. And don't worry," he said, failing at his attempt to comfort her. "I'd be shocked if you weren't... speechless." He laughed nervously as he finished, fumbling with his hands, his thumbs getting sore from twiddling them.

Eulalia gave him a blank look, not sure why he was laughing. She uncrossed he arms and started fiddling around with the hem of her shirt nervously. "Do you really have to leave?" She finally asked curiously, shifting her body so that she facing more towards him. "I still want to get to know you and everything... I could get over the whole wolf shifter thing." She smiled softly and shrugged.

Alex looked back at Eulalia and answered seriously, "Yes, I do have to leave. I can't control my... Well, what I am, and once I mature, I'll need to join others of my kind. And... I'm glad that you still want to get to know me. I want to get to know you, too."
