Eulalia nodded sadly, understanding but not happy about it. She stared at her feet as she kicked the ground anxiously.

"So... what now?" She asked, laughing. "Do you wanna just hang out here for awhile?"

Alen smiled and nodded enthusiastically.

"That'd be great--" he stopped short of his excalmation, his attention zooming in on a scent he had just picked up.  Vampire.  He felt a growl whip up inside of him, but he held it back.  "We have to get out of here," he told Eulalia seriosuly, standing up quickly and falling back into a guarding stance, but still held out his hand to  help her up.

They needed to get out of here.

"Vampire," said Alex, not able to keep his voice form the low growl that it came out in.  "We need to get moving--this one is on the hunt."

Eulalia paled, frightened by the growl in Alex's voice and the fact that there was a vampire out on the prowl.

"But it's day time!" She said awkwardly. "Shouldn't it be like... sleeping or something?"

Eulalia tilted her head to the side in confusion.

"Everything I've been taught is a LIE!" She said jokingly as she followed him to the entrance. "The vampire won't come after us, right?" She asked seriously, looking around nervously.

Eulalia frowned slightly, glancing behind her again anxiously.

"I hope you're right about it not coming after us," She sighed. "It's rather unfortunate that humans don't know all of this already." She said, not to Alex in particular, but more just thinking out loud.

Smiling and sgryggung, Alex tried to look hopeful.

"It's gone now, I thin--" He was cut off as the vampire stepped out of some on the nearby bushes lining the road, blocking their path.

Eulalia gasped and gripped Alex's hand tightly. She stared at the vampire and then at Alex, then the vampire again.

"What do we do now?" She whispered in a shaky voice.

"Stand still," Alex managed softly, his voice rough through his gritted teeth.

The vmpire began to advance.

((It's alright. I've been busier than usual lately too. :3))

Eulalia managed to stand still, despite her panic. Her breath was shaky and she stared at the ground, just hoping that the vampire would leave.

"Get out of here," Alex growled at the vampire.  "Now."

The vampire leered at him, and then seemed to contemplate heeding his warning.  "No."  It firmly replied.  "I haven't eaten in ages, and you two look particularly--" he paused, licking his lips dramatically--"splendid."

Alexander felt anger well up in him.  Before he could stopp himself, he shifted, the fur of his wolf form rippling over his shoulders.  The wolf within him took hold of his once-hhuman mind, lunging visciously at the vampire.  The vampire's eyes widened, and it took a step back.  Then another.  And another.  Then, it turned tail and fled, with the wolf chaxing after him.

He had finally lost the vampire.

Alex was panting in the shade of a tree in the forest, his breath not quite aiding his exhausted body.  He had shifted only a few minutes ago, and his human memories began to flood back to him.

Eulalia.  Where was she?  Alex paused to look at his surroundings.  Where was he?

Eulalia stood frozen, her feet rooted to the ground in the park. Her mouth hung open slightly in shock, confusion, and a mess of other emotions. She had watched the vampire and Alex run off and didn't see which way they had gone. With a shaky breath, she finally took a step forward, determined to find Alex.

She headed to the forest, she was certain she'd seen them come this way, and started to fumble through the trees.

Clearing her throat, Eulalia called out sheepishly, "Alex?" She was worried that if she raised her voice, the vampire would hear her first and that was one thing she did not need.

Eulalia stopped, thinking she may have heard something. She waited a moment, her shaky breathing making it hard to hear. Suddenly, there was a rustling in the bushes near by and her attention was immediately taken by that. She as.sured herself it was probably just an animal, but it frightened her nonetheless.

"Alex, can you hear me?" She called again, walking towards the left and away from the rustling bushes.

"Yes," called Alex again, scrambling to sit up.  "Just follow my voice."
