The Krelleg pack and the Soncha pack have spent their whole lives either killing avoiding each other. Pups of mixed blood- as well as their parents- are killed without hesitation. Friendship between the packs is forbidden. To top all this off, humans are invading their territory, and beginning to cut down the forest, resulting in less territory for the Krelleg pack. The Krelleg pack need to go onto Soncha land just to catch enough food to surive, but if they're caught, they're dead. So, what happens when a patrolling Soncha Alpha finds the Krelleg Omega hunting on her territory? Will friendship- and maybe more- blossom, or will it result in death and destruction?

Tenebrae is snowy white, save for a patch around his right eye which ris akin in colour to that of a raven's wing. He is a slim wolf, lightly-built, and designed for running and speed, not fighting and brute strength. He has longer legs than average, but his shoulders aren't as stocky, and he isn't as muscular. Has a slightly fluffy chest and tail, with his tail actually looking kind of feathered.
Tenebrae's eyes are often believed to be the reason of his name, although it can never be certain, as no one wishes to degrade themselves so much as to hold a meaningful conversation with an omega. They are an incredibly dark blue, almost appearing purple, hence the connections made with his name

Appearance:

Sierra is just the right size and lacking a bit in the brawn, but she supplies more with her brain.  But don't be fooled - she can still fight like a tiger.  Her underbelly, chest, and the lower part of her muzzle are white and off-white, with the top of her muzzle being a light brown.  Her ears have the same light brown with more of a rusty-type color to them at the tips, being more of a "deep" color than her muzzle somehow.  Mainly, her fur is gray with "light gray tips", if you will, though it seems it's just tinted with some light gray.  Along her spine, the gray sometimes even fades to a black in some areas.  Her tail has a little bit of white along the bottom with the same deep brown color fading into rust at the tip and then the gray color along the rest.  She is pretty... um, "fluffy", I guess you could say, but not like a fluffball or anything.  Her tail almost looks feathered, and it starts with a sort of 'thin' fur then gets fluffier towards the tip.
Her eyes are a brilliant dark green with brown flecks towards the pupil.

Tenebrae crept along the border, his fur blending in easily with the stark white of the snowy, forested landscape, save for his eye at least. He was tracking an old forest deer, using his nose to guide him, but his ears rotating back and forth on his head as he listened for any sign of the creature. It came in the form of the branches cracking up ahead, and he sprinted up to them, easily catching up to the creature on his long legs. The beast kept running, this way and that, and he loped along behind with ease, chasing it for a full five minutes before leaping upon it.

He brought it down after a few minutes struggle, and he had nearly been kicked by it's hooves in the process. Takng a harsh bite into the beast's neck, he grinned wolfishly as the creature slipped away. It was only a little larger than a wolf, and it's ribs were poking through, but it was a better catch than rabbits, anyway. Just before he was about to tear into the hide, he realised he was not in his own territory.

There were strange scents all around him, the scent of a pack that was not his own being the most prominent, and he had his belly to the floor subconciously. The last thing he wanted right then was a confrontation; the huge monsters the humans brought scared away all the animals with all their noise, and he hadn't fed in a while. His ribs were visible, but that was understandable; as the Omega, he recieved the least food of anyone else in the pack.

Sierra breathed in the crisp, fresh air that was beautifully chilly.  She took a pawstep out of her den into the white, sparkling snow.  Some of her packmates were sprawled out in the snow, and some pups were rambunctiously playing in it.  The Alpha proceeded out of the camp, entered forest.  The leaves of the trees were nowhere to be seen; such bare wood.  What a shame they had to go.

She was in the forest for a patrol of her own.  Sierra had taken the duty herself today.  She covered most of the territory without problem.  She remembered that prey would start to leave when Winter really started kicking in.  The snow was thick; the kind that you would get stuck in clumps to your fur.  Out here in the wild, wolves didn't build snowmen, so Sierra preferred it thin.

Then she scented something.  Lifting her nose into the air a second time to make sure it wasn't fake, the scent was confirmed.  Sierra growled lowly and briskly trotted towards the source.  It was an enemy.  One from Krelleg.  What were they doing here again?!  The scent was getting stronger, and through the forest, she saw a wolf.

A Krelleg wolf.

Sierra ran out and jumped on top of the wolf, her being in a superior stance.  She had her two left paws close to the wolf's side and sunk in the snow, and her back right paw was by the wolf's flank.  Her front right paw was precariously hovering over the wolf's neck.  Sierra bared her teeth back in a snarl.  "What are the likes of you doing here?"  She saw he was stealing prey as well.  Double offense.

Tenebrae yelped as something jumped on him, knocking him off his paws. He found himself to be lying with his back in the snow, looking up at a rather intimidating wolf. Her paw was just over his neck, she had her teeth visible in a terrifying snarl, and her voice sounded anything but friendly. He did his best to answer her question as quickly as possible to avoid angering her further- he'd had plenty of practice at angering other wolves- but he found he had lost his voice.

Finding it after a long moment of that wolf staring down at him that seemed to last an eternity, he made his excuses in a stammering, stuttering way that very few wolves ever understood. ''I-ah-I w-w-was j-ju-just h-h-h-hunt-t-ing i-in m-my t-t-terri-t-t-tory a-a-and d-d-d-didn't r-r-realise wh-when t-the ch-chase c-came o-o-ont-t-to y-your t-t-territ-t-tory.'' He spoke quickly, even with the stutter, and it would be a miracle if his own mother could have understood him, let alone a wolf he'd never met before.

''S-s-s-s-sor-r-r-r-ry.'' He added quickly, visibly trembling under the other wolf. She gave off the air of someone high-ranking, and Tenebrae figured that she was both a wolf from an enemy pack and highranking. Well, things were going so perfectly well for him, weren't they?

" 'Sorry' doesn't cut it," Sierra growled.  "As Alpha of Soncha Pack, I have permission to do anything I want with you.  Do you understand?  I could kill you on the spot for trespassing.  What a fool you are, how can you not notice the clear borders?!"  She nipped his nose, infuriated.  "What is your name, runt?" she asked.

Staring into his eyes, she couldn't help but feel something.  But Sierra couldn't identify it.  His eyes were quite interesting, though.  She got the vibe that he was not a threat, and would probably let him go soon.  Maybe.

May-be.

Tenebrae trembled even more when she started talking. Oh, great, she was more than high ranked, she was an Alpha for god's sake! And now she was telling him that she could kill him. As if he didn't know that. As if he wasn't terrified enough already, without being reminded that he may be killed because he had tried to survive.

He yelped slightly when she nipped his nose, and his eyes widened as she asked his name. He decided it would probably be best to just give his nickname- one of the ones that wasn't only used by angry packmates- and rather than his full name. Tenebrae was, after all, quite a mouthful to say, and she probably didn't have forever to wait.

''T-T-T-Ten.'' He said quickly, swallowing. ''I-I-I-I a-am r-r-r-r-real-really s-s-sorr-r-r-ry.'' He added, hoping she might- just might- not kill him.

"Ten?" Sierra repeated.  It felt, to her, that he was lying.  She narrowed her eyes and got up in his face.  "Are you sure?"  From here, he could see his eyes even clearer.  Ten's eyes were really pretty.  They were a really dark blue, but they seemed purple before.  Sierra saw fear in his eyes, though.  They must look better when they looked happy.

A squirrel above sprung on a branch stocked full of snow.  A piece of snow fell on Sierra's head.  As soon as she felt something cold dro pon her, she jumped up a bit in place and shook her head vigorously.  Oh.  It's only snow.  She must have looked like a fool in front of Ten.  No matter.  Sierra shook off the white stuff and waited for his answer, repeating the question.  "Are you sure?" she said, anger still remaining in her tone.

Tenebrae backed his head up against the ground- if that were even possible, with the position he was in- as she put her face close to his. Usually, having someone's face near your's meant get bitten, and that happened too much for his liking. He swallowed as she asked him if he was sure. Well, it was his nickname- at least, one of the good ones- and how was he supposed to say his full name with her this close to him? She'd never understand it.

He was distracted momentarily when she jerked her head back and started shaking it, but he was too frightened to find it funny at the time, and went back to thinking. Ah well. Her own fault for asking, he thought, if she didn't understand. ''A-a-actu-a-a-ally, i-i-it's T-T-Ten-en-ene-e-ebrae.'' He stuttered, the words pouring out in a rush.

"T...?" she mumbled to herself.  What?!  I don't get it.  Sierra thought, trying to piece together the sounds.  After about two minutes of staring out at the forest, she finally got it.  Tenebrae.  "Tenebrae," she said out loud.  It wasn't exactly perfect, but it was close enough.  Ten must've been some sort of nickname.

"Tenebrae," Sierra started, "I've decided to not kill you, for you are visibly starving and it was just a mistake.  Though, I am going to request something of you."  The Alpha stepped off of Ten and stood beside him.  Her tail swished.  Hopefully he wouldn't run away, but even if he did, that was no problem.

Tenebrae had held his breath the entire time she'd been looking out into the forest, worried she was even angrier. She hadn't been able to say his name at first, but what she did finally say must have sounded better than what he himself had said. He breathed a sigh of relief as she finally stepped off him, and scrambled to his feet.

He stood with his fur lowered and ears back, his head as low as he could get it. He was getting quite good at being in a submissive stance, actually. ''Th-th-thank y-y-you!'' He said quickly, when he heard she wasn't going to kill him. Well, that was one good thing; now to just do what she wanted and get out of there. ''A-a-anyth-thing! Wh-wh-what i-is it?'' He asked, looking up at her.

"I want you to answer my questions."

Sierra sat and knew that he was still afraid.  She added, "No need for thanks, no need to be afraid.  Just because wolves have claws doesn't mean they have to use them.  Especially for killing.  Share your opinion, will you?"

She also asked, "Of what status are you in Krelleg?"

Tenebrae sat down opposite her, keeping his head low still, even though it was difficult because of his height. He listened to what she said, but he was dubious. Questions? That was it? And wouldn't he be considered a traitor if he answered the questions of an enemy Alpha?

''I-ah... N-no. C-c-claws a-and t-t-teeth a-are m-meant for k-k-killing... J-just n-n-n-not w-w-wolves. P-pr-pr-prey.'' He said, figuring that explained itself. He gave a nervous laugh when she asked him his status. ''Y-y-you n-n-need t-to ask...? O-Ome-ega.''

Sierra nodded, her thoughts confirmed.  He was an Omega after all.  And he had a mind to him as well.  "Good answer.  That's something to think about."  Next question.  "What do you most enjoy in life?"  She then looked at the carcass of the animal.  It was his kill, after all, and Soncha had more than enough prey for now.  She would send out Hunters later, too.  "By the way, you can eat that, y'know," Sierra said, pointing to the deer with her muzzle.

Tenebrae looked down at the snow, thinking. There was very little in life he actually did enjoy; spending time with his pack was hell the majority of the time; playfighting with other youngwolves meant being left bleeding; trying to join in on a hunt meant getting punished when things went wrong... There was very little he liked to do.

''I-I s-sup-pose... r-r-runn-i-ing al-along t-the G-G-Gre-reat M-Mount-tains i-in c-crisp sn-snow.'' He said finally, smiling slightly. When he realised she was letting him keep his kill as well as his life, his smile broadened slightly. ''Th-thank y-you. M-m-my pa-pack wi-will want a-a sh-share too, th-though.'' He replied, giving a small, nervous laugh.
