Shocked at the kiss, she almost jumped. "Umm. Seven works best for me. I got some stuff to do!" she said. Picking up her nerdy glasses and placing them on, she faced him and smiled. She then began to type her work out.

Grinning to himself, he walked out the door. "See you at seven, then," he said, hopped on Az, and flew up into the mid morning sky. Whooping with joy, he stood on Az and jumped. The dragon knew him so well that he dove beneath him, catching him on his back. One of his spikes, though, caught Jake's cheek, ripping it open. Reeling back with the pain, Jake quickly sat down, pressing his now bloodstained shirt to his wound and wincing. Quickly going home, Jake stumbled into his kitchen and dunked his head under the sink. Red water swirled down the drain. Seeing him, Emma gasped and ran for bandages. Jake appreciated her help more than he could say. Though Emma might be practically fearless, and would face off manticores and griffins, she didn't like the sight of blood. Cringing, Jake accepted the wad of fabric and pressed it to the wound.

Amber sent her e-mail and looked at the time. "Damn it, it's 6:30!" she shouted to herself. She left her laptop and glasses on the table and ran to her bathroom. She jumped into the shower and washed her hair quickly. 6:45. She blow dried her hair. 6:50. She pulled on some dark skinny jeans and an oversized sweatshirt. She didn't wear a dress or heels unless she wanted to or if it was a special occasion. 7:01.

Emma ran back upstairs and Jake pressed harder on the bandage. Sitting down, he held the blood soaked cloth to his cheek for a few minutes before slowly releasing, he sighed in relief, glad that years of scrapes and cuts let his skin heal quicker than most. The gash had scanned over, and as he dabbed at it in the bathroom, most of it came off, exposing a clean slice that was already bonding together. Nodding in satisfaction, he changed into a pair of dark jeans, a light blue shirt, and his old leather jacket with a snarling panther on the back. Checking his laptop for the time, since his phone was dead, he saw that it was 6:59. Cursing, he spiked his hair up a little bit, made sure his piercings were in right, and dashed out the door, leaping onto Az. The dragon launched the two into the air, soaring as fast as possible to Amber's house. Knocking, he grinned apologetically and kissed her lightly. "Sorry I'm late."

Before Jake had come, Kylie had changed for the third time. She had the same jeans, some boots with a heel, a grey t-shirt with a cropped black jacket and a cues scarf. She opened the door and walked out. "Do you want to go on two dragons or one?" she asked.

"The Vine Yard!" Amber shouted. The Vine Yard was her favourite place, they did all sorts of food. Mostly, Italian though. Pizza and pasta, Amber's favourite. She smiled and slid off Az, waiting for Jake. She took in the sight, the smell and the feel of the cool breeze tugging on her scarf. She closed her eyes and breathed deeply, her mind played wicked tricks on her but she ignored them. She opened her bright blue eyes and smiled her movie-star smile. Showing off her gleaming, bright white teeth.

Smiling back, Jake took her hand. "I was hoping you liked Italian," he said, and walked inside with her. The waiter led them to a table outside, where they sat down to order drinks. "I'll have a beer," Jake said, and after the waiter left, he took Ambers hands. "If you're cold, just let me know," he said, raising his eyebrows and staring into her bright, wide blue eyes.

Amber nodded her head. "My name is Amber Luck. I am 16 years old. I live by myself and I lost my family." Amber stopped. She looked down and sniffed and looked back up and smiled weakly, "I like green. I hate beans on toast. I find dating over-rated. Pretty average. Anything I should know about you?" Amber asked/said.

"True," Jake replied, and paid for their lemonade, took Amber's hand, and led her to Az. He flew the couple up into the chilly evening air. The clouds danced with the last rays of the evening sun, and the frosty world shimmered like liquid crystal below them. The stars blinked into existence, and lit up the sky like astral lanterns, sentinels of the night. Jake slipped his leather jacket around Amber's shoulders, for the air was getting a bit chilly, and hugged her closer to him. She was sitting in front of him, his arms wrapped gently around her hips, and he kissed the top of her head lightly as the dragon coasted through the clouds.

When they arrived, Amber said goodbye and kissed Jake on the cheek. She smiled and waved goodbye before locking her door. She walked to the back, "Hey Moon! How have you been?" The dragon bumped her and nuzzled up. Amber heard her laptop ring and walked, confused, to it. Skype in call: Greg Luck. Who is Greg Luck? She clicked accept and saw a handsome man, in about his early twenties smiling at her. "Amber?" he asked un surely. "Yes." Amber replied. "Hi! My name is Greg Luck, you might want to sit down." Amber nodded her head and sat down. She listened to Greg and was shocked. Greg was her brother. After that, they started talking. "So, who do you live?" he asked. "No one." Amber said, looking down. "You shouldn't be alone Amber! Why don't you come and live with me?" Amber perked up. "Well, you have to anyways." He said. Amber looked up, "Why?" she asked. "You have to. If police catch you, then you have to go to a home or come and live with me." He explained. Amber nodded her head and looked down. Her brother wasn't far, but it was far enough. "I will come tomorrow." Amber mumbled. Her brother nodded her head and Amber ended the call. He called back but Amy left it. She climbed into bed, but didn't sleep.

After their date, Jake walked into his house feeling like he owned the world. He was in better spirits than Emma had seen him in in a long time, and he hummed as he went upstairs to bed. Laying in bed looking up through the glass roof to the stars, Jake couldn't sleep. His mind was whirling with thoughts of Amber, their date, and what would become of them. Making a spilt second decision, he reached for his phone and texted: Hey Amber, It's Jake. U still up? <3
