(Sure) Jax looked surprised when AMy and her boyfriend Niall wandered in, but slid over for Kylie. Slipping his hand around hers, he answered, "Oh, we were just going out for coffee." Jax smiled and shook Niall's hand, "I'm Jax." Sitting there in the booth, he felt better than he had in a long time. His heart was upbeat, and he knew he was over the breakup. Smiling at the couple across the table, he said, mostly to Amy, "Can I not just be "Your Ex," however fitting the name may be. Can we be friends at least?" His green eyes sparkled, and his dark fur was dappled with the sunlight from the window near them.

Amy looked at him, "We should go." Amy said quickly. Picking up her coffee and walked out with Niall. They went back home and went to out their costumes on. Amy put on a nice bikini and slipped on her dress. Taking a bag with a towel, Amy and Niall walked to the beach together. -------- Kylie looked as Amy left. "I should go to." Without waiting for an answer, she left and ran home.

"Oh crap. What did I say this time?" Jax said, to no one in particular. He got up and left, sprinting after Kylie. "What did I do?" he finally asked when he caught up with her.

"Nothing. I just remembered I have some important stuff to do." Kylie said before running back and locking her door. She hid under her bed for awhile.

Sighing, for he knew it wasn't the reason, he let her go, figuring she might have just needed some time. Walking home, it started to drizzle, and he walked home in the rain. Sitting in the living room, he curled up on the couch and traced his finger along the lines from the droplets, listening to the steady boom of far-off thunder and the pleasant sound of the rain on the cobbles. After an hour or so, Jax returned to earth from the fantastical world of his thoughts and realized that the sun was starting to peek out from behind the clouds. A rainbow appeared, ethereal and mystical, shining through the misty skies, and Jax got up, stretched, and walked to Kylie and Amy's dorm. Knocking, when the door opened to show Kylie, he simply pointed to the sky, then kissed her softly.

Kylie got up and went to answer the door. When Jax kissed her she pushed him away roughly. "What the heck?" she shouted before slamming the door shut and locking it with a click.
Amy ran back to Niall's dorm with them and they sat on the couch to watch a movie, cuddling together happily.

Standing there, Jax went back to his dorm and sat at the table, head spinning. Jesse walked in, and handed him a bottle, which Jax took and chugged.

Kylie sat there on her bed and sighed. Flicking the TV on as it was quiet she watched a movie.
Amy snuggled deeper into Niall's chest and he kissed her head. Amy turned over and kissed him on the lips, they sat there kissing for a few minutes. His lips were so addicting, after awhile they broke apart to catch some breath. "What was that for?" he asked. His breath was hot on her face as their foreheads were touching, "Does everyone kiss need a reason?" Amy said simply. He smiled and leaned in again, but Amy pulled away after a few seconds she pulled away. She giggled while Niall pouted, "You are such a tease!" he whispered.

Jax dropped his head onto the table, pitching the bottle into the paper bag they used to recycle things. Jesse brought over another, but Jqax shook his head and pushed it away. He needed to think things over with a clear mind, not one blurred by alcohol. Going Back to the forest and rock he had so often thought by, he sat in the sulight and meditated, a thing he never expected himself to do. He concentrated all of his thoughts on nothing, and let the answers come to him. After an hour, he was very little the wiser, but nonetheless, he had cooled down and was peaceful in his heart. Walking over to his dorm, he texted Kylie, I'm sorry.

Kylie saw the text and anger bubbled up inside her, "Stop it!" she shouted. Flinging her phone towards, it broke and so did Kylie. She crumpled and lay down onto the floor beneath her.
Amy fell asleep peacefully into Niall's arms.

Hearing the crash, Jax started up, then decided, that, for better or worse, he had to see if she was ok. Walking over, he tentatively knocked twice, then waited for the door to open. When it did, he held the door open so she wouldn't slam it into his face, then drew back. "Please, I just want to talk. If everything's too much, just tell me, and I'll back off. I need to just talk this out. I've been hurt before, more than you would know, but I need to just talk. If you need time, just tell me. I'll back off. You just need to tell me, because guess what? I worry. About you." Taking his hand away from the door, he raised his hands in surrender.

Kylie looked at him and shook her head. Running away into her bedroom and locking it. That door will never open again. She flopped on her bed and fell asleep.

Jax was getting frusterated. First she kissed him, then when he tried to be with her and make her happy, het got cold refusal. "Fine," he huffed to no one in particular, and stalked off. He couldn't helo thinking that he and Kylie weren't meant to be, and his mind drifted back to Amy. He loved her. He really, truly loved her. But now she was with Niall, a person Jax had never seen as a threat, and they both seemed to be happy. He figured it was better off that she was happy, but couldn't they at least have been friends? Kicking a pile of leaves, for he had walked into the forest without noticing, he started to run, first a steady jog then faster and faster into a frenzy of motion. Branches tore at his face and he dropped his ripped shirt into a bush, letting the wind whip past his skin and finally stopped, gasping for breath. Checking his phone, he realized he had been running for over an hour, and sweat dripped down his body. Nonetheless, he felt good.

Amy woke up and smiled as she looked into bright blue eyes. "Morning." he whispered. "Morning!" Amy replied. He kissed her on her nose and Amy scrunched her nose up. "I will pick you up at 8?" he asked. "Why?" Amy asked. He tapped his nose and chased her of the house. Amy got home and went in to Kylie's room. They talked and Amy left and got ready to leave. She took out her phone, Starbucks in half an hour? ;) She texted Jax. She left and went to Starbuck's anyways.

Running home, he slept dreamlessly. When Jax woke, the first thing he saw was the glow of his phone, indicating a text. Reading it, he smiled and jumped out of bed. The text had been sent about ten minutes ago, and he got dressed in a pair of dark blue athletic shorts and a neon green nike shirt. Running over to Starbucks, he saw Amy and waved, smiling, at her.

Amy waved back and went to the till to get her stuff, when she was at the front she asked for hot chocolate and a banana-Nutella muffin. (Damn, those things are good!) Waiting for Jax to order, she inspected her nails.

"I'll take a mocha and a chocolate chip muffin," he decided quickly, then paid and brought the food and drinks over to the same window table they had sat at before. "So, why did you want to see me?" Jax asked, hesitant that he would say something wrong.

Grinning, but still hesitant, he told her the story. "After we, you know, broke up, I didn't know what to do. I went to a party and made some mistakes, went on a date with another girl, but nothing lasted long. Finally, I remembered Kylie. I thought we could have worked everything out, but now she's mad and I have no clue why. So here I am." he paused, taking a sip ofhis mocha. "What's up with you? And Niall?" he said this without bitterness, he had long let go of seeing Niall as an enemy, and was genuinely curious.

Amy nodded along. "First, Niall makes me so happy." she paused going into a dream and sighed. "Two," she said, snapping out of her trance, "Kylie isn't mad, she just need some space. You went to quickly and she doesn't like that. Giver her a few more days and then go more slowly. Go out in public and show some signs of affection, then give more and go to less public places. Finally, kiss her when no one or very few people are around." Amy said.
