Zaylek continued holding her hand as he said, "A fire nation soldier snuck up and hit us both on the head. I... wasn't quite down yet and managed to dispatch him and his friends." He frowned, "But enough of this." He grabbed her other hand and helped her stand up. She didn't stuble as he helped her cross the room. Then, he let go of herhands and she continued walking. "Good..." he said and smiled. "I've been thinking," he said as he walked over and held her hands again, leading her outside, "we can't just stay here forever. We need to head to a city. Ba Sing Se should work. It's safe there. What do you think?"

Rumors I've heard from other people is the fire nation have already took over Ba Sing Se. I don't know where safe places are anymore. She said. I guess we should try and if it is already conquered then we come back here and try and figure out where safe places are. Secretly in her mind she thought Zaylek was pretty cute.

"We have to try. The fire nation is getting closer to us, and if we stay here much longer... we won't survive." He hated to say things that might ruin her hope, but he did it to protect her. He didn't think he could live if she was killed. "We should leave soon... as soon as possible. Satayu is strong and can carry some stuff. I can carry most of the rest, and you should be okay just walking." He smiled and then said, "We should leave tomorrow. I know it's soon, but I don't want you to get hurt again... I don't think I could live with it."

Ok we should start packing right away I'll pack as fast as I can and if it is already conquered then we should probally keep moving to a safer city. Moments later they both hurried back into the house and started packing. In her mind she thought awww he can't live with me dying. I couldn't live with him dying either.

Zaylek and Allira were soon ready to leave and Zaylek said to her, "Stay close to me." He smiled at her and then hugged her tightly, hoping it wouldn't be the last time. "Let's go." He grabbed her hand and started leading her through the woods. They didn't encounter any fire nation warriors. Luckily, Ba Sing Se was in the opposite direction, so they got very far away by the time it was night. He turned to her and said, "I know you probably need to rest, but we can't stop here, we're still to close." With that he turned around, still holding her hand, and kept walking. Ba Sing Se wasn't that far away, so he figured they would reach it by morning. They walked all through the night and Zaylek saw the city. He was walking as quickly as possible and when they they were really close he saw two guards and didn't know whether they were actual guards or fire nation warriors. He saw no other choice but to go inside the city, but he was worried for Allira. "I have to do something before we go in there, just in case." He leaned in and kissed her, hoping she didn't pull away.

Shocked she didn't pull away but didn't give him a kiss back she was so confused she didn't know what to do or say. She just couldn't believe he just did that. She was excited yet confused. She spoke in silence the rest of the way into Ba Sing Se.

Zaylek was shocked at himself for being so bold. He hoped she wouldn't think he was a freak. He walked in silence to the front gates and the guards ket them in without problem. Once inside the city, he relaxed once he realized that the fire nation hadn't invaded yet. "The first thing we ought to do is find a place to stay, there are a lot of refugees coming in. The places will be booked up soon. He manuevered through the streets and people until he found a quaint little hotel and walked inside. Apparently this nice little place hadn't been found by the refugees yet. He went up to the lady at the front desk. "One room please?" He asked politely. She said, "One or two beds?" Zaylek immediately thought af Allira. He didn't have much money, except for what he had taken from the soldiers he had killed. It was enough to rent the room for a week or so, but they needed food and other things. "One, please." he said. If Allira felt weird with having only one bed, then he would sleep on the floor. The lady handed him the two keys and Zaylek handed one to Allira. "Follow me." Zaylek said to Allira as he headed towards the staircase. He stopped in front of room 8 and opened the door. It was a nice size room with a large window with a great view. He turned toward Allira and said, "Tomorrow I'm going to try and get a job, I'm not sure how long we'll be here." He took care not to mention the kiss.

Of corse Allira was a little freaked out but not to much. She didn't mind sleeping in the same bed with him as long as they kept their distance. She was still shocked at what Zaylek had did but was still impressed and excited at the same time.

Zaylek started grabbing extra blankets and layed them out on the floor. He grabbed a pillow and layed down. When he had been laying for a moment he said, "Sooo... sorry about the kiss thing. It was probably really awkward for you. And it won't happen again, unless you say so." He was trying to lighten the mood up. "At least the city is still okay. Also I have to get a job tomorrow. We could be here for a few days or a year, I don't know, and we only have enough money for a week of room rental... and that's without food."

It's alright it was kinda .........nice. After a minute Allira got into her pajamas in the bathroom brushed her teeth and went to bed.

Zaylek was very happy when she said the kiss was nice, and it made him relax. He quickly fell asleep and dreampt of Allira. When he woke up in the morning he saw that Allira was still asleep. He was pretty sure she wouldn't have appreciated it if he woke her up, plus he knew she needed the sleep. He quietly got ready and tried to look nice. He slipped outside and walked through the small lobby. When he got outside he looked around and saw that all the little shops were just starting to open up. He went walking and saw three places that were looking for help: A restaraunt, a cart selling vegetables, and a tea shop. The tea shop was the close to the hotel and he decided that would be the best place to work. He just hoped that his personality wouldn't scare them off too much. He stopped by and was immediately offered the job. He accepted and the owner taught him how to make the differents tea's and he got working. The pay was good enough to support two people and save quite a bit.

A little later after Zaylek had gottten the job Allira woke up. She had noticed Zaylek was not there. So she got ready and went to the town to look for him. A few minutes after she had gotten into the town she had noticed Zaylek at the tea shop. She decieded to stop by and see how he was doing and grab a cup of tea. She ordered spice tea and of course it was delicous because Zaylek had made it. A few minutes after she was done with her tea she went back into the town looking around to see if there were any fire nation soldiers. She saw two fire nation soldiers threating a little girl. She couldn't just stand there she had to do something! So, she ran to go get Zaylek as fast as she could.

When Allira ran into the tea shop Zaylek knew something was wrong. She told him about the fire warriors messing with the girl and he relaxed a little bit, he was happy Allira was not hurt. He knew that she wouldn't forgive him if he didn't help her, but he didn't want to be fired because he ran off. He went over to the old man who owned the shop. "Ummm... my friend really needs my help. Can I please take a quick break? I know it's only my first day, but I'll be back as quick as possible... and I'll work late." The old man reluctantly agreed, "You better hurry, I would hate if you got fired your first day." Zaylek thanked him and walked out of the shop with Allira behind him. He soon reached the area with the little girl and saw the soldiers. Luckily, no one else was around. He walked up to the soldiers and said, "Now what's the matter here? I'm sure this can be resolved simply." The taller soldier snapped at him, "Why don't you just go back to whatever you were doing and leave us alone!" Zaylek replied with a smile, "I can't do that. My friend here," he pointed to Allira, "want's me to help this girl. And that's what I will do. Now, we can settle this simply... or not. Your choice." The soldier quickly threw a fireball at Zaylek, which he dodged and doused the fire with water, so that nothing would burn. He used his airbending to throw the soldier back and then crush his chest. He was dead. When he turned to the other however, he was already next to Allira... holding her by the neck. He had a fireball ready to be thrown at her. Zaylek couldn't control himself and used the earth by the soldiers feet to wrap around his legs until he collapsed. He ran over quickly and crushed the mans chest. He made sure Allira was okay and got the dead taller soldier and dragged him next to the other one. He took their money and then used earthbending to bury them under the ground so they wouldn't be found. He went over to the girl they had been messing with and helped her to be calm and then sent her home. He went over to Allira and stood a foot or two in front of her. "I have to go back to work."

Allira was so relieved that Zaylek had helped the girl and her. After that Allira went back to the hotel and took a shower. After her shower she got dressed and then took another look around town and saw nothing else was wrong. But she did see the girl that was endangered trying to break into someones house. Allira imediatly ran over to her asking her what she was doing. The girl said nervously " I....I was just trying to get in to my house". Allira didn't think that was right because Zaylek went north to go to the childs house so she thought something was very wrong.

Zaylek saw Allira run past the tea shop, and knew that something was wrong... again. He wished he could help, but he couldn't leave work again. He continued fixing tea for the elderly woman. She said, "What is wrong, young one. I can sense you are nervous and stressed, for I am a reader." Zaylek knew that readers supposedly could tell how you felt, even if you didn't show any emotion. He also knew better than to lie to them. He replied, "I am a bit stressed about... someone." She laughed, "A girl no doubt, and she is near here... I can tell. Who is she?" Zaylek pointed to Allira. The reader said, "She is nervous also, but I wouldn't worry about her not liking you." She winked and laughed. Zaylek smiled. He was so happy that Allira liked him he almost hugged the old lady. He handed her the tea and said, "Thank you." She paid him and gave him a big tip. Hopefully Allira could handle whatever she was doing. Then, Zaylek saw the girl he had helped. He waved over at Allira and told her to bring the girl over to him.

She knew he had saw her once she saw him give the signal to bring her over to him. She brought the girl over to him and said that she thought the girl had been up to mischief because she saw the girl trying to break into a house that was south from her original house. Allira just stood threre while Zaylek talked to the little girl.

"Why were you trying to break into that house?" Zaylek asked the girl. She said, "My mommy and I don't have any money... and I thought I could help her. "You don't need to break into people's houses to get money. Here," he said, as he grabbed the twenty dollar tip the old lady had given him. He handed it to the girl. "Take this, and I don't want you breaking into more people's houses anymore." He frowned at her. "Now go." With that she ran out of the shop. And towards her house. He turned to Allira, smiled and then made a cup of tea. He handed it to her and used his money to put in the cash register. "Go sit and drink. I'm almost done." He finished up his shift and told the old man he was done. The man smiled and said, "Ok, and good job today." Zaylek got his money and went to sit by Allira. "That girl is a pain," he laughed as he said it.

No kidding. But why would you give her the twenty dollar bill? After what she tried to do, I didn't think she deserved it. I mean why do you think the fire nation soldiers were messing with her?
