[Hm....maybe an elfish delegation could come to the faerie lands on the premise of negotiating peace, but really they plan to try to assassinate the king?  Or vice versa? :o ]

[Omg yesssss.  That would be hilarious. |D
Hm...I don't much care if it's the elves who are the delegation or the faeries.  Do you have a preference?  If not, I could just flip a coin or something~]

((Sorry, I got sidetracked by homework ^^''))

"Isn't this exciting Will?"

His younger sister's eager voice snapping him out of his thoughts. "Yeah, sure." He said trying to button up his shirt. He was fumbling around with the Elven military uniform when his older sister Kareena, tired of watching came to do it for him. "Honestly, you are so useless." she said. She had the same feature as him, blonde hair, blue eyes, just much prettier.

She herself was in a uniform. Though it had been altered to fit her female form. As one of the highest ranking female officers in the army was was always invited to gatherings such as the one today. They were headed over to the Faerie Lands to negotiate a Peace Treaty, which Will was very thankful for.

"Yeah well." William said trying to come up with a good comeback. She raised a thin eyebrow and waited. "Are you planning on seducing the King into a treaty?" he finally spat out pointing to her shorter form fitting uniform. She only grinned and shook her head. "Wow little brother, you have such a way with words." His older brother Jared said clapping a broad hand on his back. Most of Will's family was in the army. His three older brothers (Jared being a General), his older sister, even his two younger sisters were healers. Sadly his other brother died in the fighting, so no one wanted this fighting to end more than him.

"All right kiddos lets roll out of here." His older brother Jared. Williams big family quickly hurried out the doors his sister still fixing their outfits for the gather. "Will, do we look okay?" Maya asked motioning to herself and her other sister. It was hard to believe that they were all related. Only Will and Kareena looked the same, everyone else had brown hair with variations of brown and blue eyes. "You two both look pretty." He said causing them to grin. "Great. I wouldn't want to disapoint any of the soldiers." Maya winked, linking arms with her brother. He rolled his eyes but followed after the General.

"Oh Will look!" Maya cried bouncing up in down in excitement. They had reached the Faerie King's Castle, they made it through with relative ease, earning a few looks from the Faerie villiagers. "Calm down kid, you gotta look professional." he said sharply, he was nervous and he just didn't have the patience for her now. She rolled her eyes and twitched her ears in annoyance though she didn't unlink her arm from his, pulling him closer when they entered the hall and she saw the Fae soldiers. William faught a smile, seemed as if she was nervous too.

((Is that alright? I pretty much rambled XP))

[Of course it's alright! :P
I'm thinking the faerie castle can look a bit like tle="" target="">this, but with different grounds.]

The following morning Tallow was called off her healer's duties to prepare for some mysterious guests' arrival.  She was grateful for the hard, seemingly never-ending work--it distracted her from what she had done.  She was sent all around the wide, sprawling castle--delivering this here, helping to move something there.  The faerie king liked his grand palace to appear even grander in the presence of guests.  Some color-working faerie cast a spell to make the white marble glow in the moonlight--as if the alabaster wasn't bright enough--and every single leaf and blade of grass was trimmed to perfection in the vast gardens in preparation for the guests.
She was there, in the gardens, when the messenger came to fetch her.  She had been admiring the castle, with its spindly towers and soaring arches, each elaborate facade depicting a different glorious moment in faerie history.  The boy was small and fair-haired--Tallow thought she knew him as Summer's younger brother, and felt for him--and he was out of break when he reached her.
"Milady," he said, "The elven delegation has arrived. The royal physician requests your presence in the throne room to be presented before them."
Tallow's head snapped up.  "Elven delegation?  By the gods, are you sure?"
The boy nodded.  "Yes, they're here to negotiate a peace treaty."
"V-very well then," said Tal, dismissing the boy and climbing to her feet.
Her heart was caught somewhere between skipping a beat and racing--part of it leapt with hope at possibly, possibly, seeing William again, and the other part plummeted with fear.  Despite what may have been a growing affection for William, Tallow still did not like the elves.
She hurried to the castle and found her mentor--the man she despised--and placed herself at his side, falling into the part of the red-haired shadow.
"Oh, there you are," he said, casting her a diminutive sideways glance that she hated.  It made her feel small, and she knew that she wasn't.  "Do stand taller, Vher'de, they'll be here any minute.  The king wants to present our best"--he didn't say only, though they both knew she was--"blood-bender.  Perhaps we'll frighten them into submission, when they know we have such a strong magic-worker on our side."
Tallow thought of William, and doubted it.

((Wow thats so nice o.o I wish I had a castle T.T))

The castle was gorgeous, but unlike his bouncing sister beside him, William could keep his awe hidden. The castle looked freshly cleaned, and gueards looked as if their armour was freshy polished, it caused his older sister to scoff from infront of him. She was walking step in step with his prother who really embodied Elf power. He was a towering man of 6'4'' and he also had a rare power elven power which was honestly scary to William, and not used often in battle seeing as it was draining.

Will suddenly saw girl with auburn hair out of the corner of his eyes. He whipped his head around, his heart fluttering for a moment but it wasn't her. "See something you like Will?" His sister joked giving his arm a squeeze. He shook his head. "Don't even start with me, I just thought she looked familiar."

"You know an elf?" She teased, not realizing how close that hit. He shook his head. "Oh shut up."

When they eventually reached the meeting room, it was already filled with the Faerie Kings Advisors and such. "This is nothing like I expected." Maya whispered into Wills ear. He stayed motionless but agreed. He watched as the Elf King stepped forward, flanked by Williams brother and sister.

His eyes scanned the room for a moment before the rested on the one person he was both excited and dreading to see. Tallow. He mind went back to the previous days but he was snapped out of his daze by his sister tugging on his arm again. "What are you looking at?"

"Nothing." He answered quickly. "Just admiring the tapestries."

((Just wonder out of curiosity. How long do Elves and Faeries live?))

[...I have no idea. :o Maybe a couple centuries?  Longer than people, but they're not immortals (unless you'd prefer that)?]
Tallow didn't want to see him.  She didn't want to see him, or remember how she had helped him, and she most certainly didn't want to go and speak to him.
So why did her heart flutter when William stepped into the room?
She cleared her throat softly, tearing her gaze away from the elf boy.  It was hard to, but no one could suspect they had met before--it would just be risking too much.
Thankfully, she was saved the effort to look away as her own king, the epitome of royalty, stood from his throne and gave the elf king and his entourage a low, sweeping bow.
"I welcome you, elven people, to the realm of the faeries.  Have peace, be welcome," he said, citing the ancient greeting of friends.  His silver-blue eyes were restless, though, and Tallow thought she saw the first hints of gray in his blonde hair.  The faerie king was a beautiful man, but age was starting to catch up to him.  War had aged them all.
Her eyes stayed on him without any of Tal's own effort as he continued, "We are glad to have you here to negotiate the terms of peace with your people.  Tonight, in your honor, we shall host a ball and banquet.  And, as it is, there is a local festival in the city tomorrow; a day of revels.  We invite the elves to go among our people and enjoy themselves while they are here."  He stopped for a moment, sweeping the assembled crowd with his peculiar, stormy eyes.  Then, he said, "Now, without further ado, I present to you my queen, the Lady Annaline."  The queen stepped forward, curtsied, and made some coy remark.  She was beautiful, like her husband, a soft-spoken delicate thing.  She sat back in her richly carved throne without fanfare.  The king continued down a long line of important faeries to present--the lords and ladies seemed to just keep being announced.  Finally, came the royal physician, who went up onto the dais, made an awkward bow, and retreated.
"And, finally, I present to you Tallow Vher'de, physician's apprentice and a very skilled blood-bender.  We are lucky to have her in our court."
She scurried up, feeling the weight of so many eyes on her, and wished she had had time to change into a grand court dress or something of the like.  Instead she was in her physician's wear, simple pants with a tunic and a sash tied around her waist.  Tal bowed, feeling that curtsies were reserved for true ladies, and darted a quick glance out to the crowd.  She didn't dare look at William.
Then she was back at her mentor's side, trying not to breath a sigh of relief.

The elf king bowed back to the faeries, the rest of the elves following in unison. The Elf King had a large smile plastered on his face as he listened to Faerie King. Will didn't have much of an opinion on the King, but from what his sisters said he guessed the man was quite the looker. He had green eyes the colour of the spring leaves, and his hair was dark brown, lighter in the summer seasons when it was bleached by the sun. He knew his sister only joined the army to be around the King.

He listened intently as the King spoke, seemed like they were going to be allowed to hang out here for a while for a banquet. William tried not to groan, he hated gatherings, part his him knew that there would be a banquet. He really only came because he thought he might see her.

She hurried up and did an awkward curty before hurrying back. Blood bender? Is that was she did to him. He looked down at his sister. "It's rare. If she's any good she could move the blood in your body and make you do anything." she shrugged. William raised an eyebrow in surprise.

"Why thank you." Said the King. "We elves are pleasured to be here. We bring with us gifts for your garden. Our most treasured plants, created just for you."

A group of the royal gardiners uncovered the plants they had brought with them. They were the nicest William had ever seen. All so different, some were glowing, and some were now blooming before the crowd.

"I personally created this one for you beautifl queen." The King said stepping aside to unveil the flower next to him. The flower glowed a light pink but the closer you looked it seemed as if it glowed white, yellow and blue.

William grinned, wishing he had the skill to create crazy exotic flowers like that. The most he could do was grow flowers and berries. "That is so pretty." His siter said from beside clutching onto his arm and going up on her toes so she could get a better look.

((I just threw some garbage together XP Also the flower looks like this but all glowy like XD

[DAT FLOWER. -grabby hands-]
Tallow tried to wrench her eyes away from the girl on William's arm, but found she could not.  So he did have a fair elven girl to return to from the brink of death, after all.  She fought down a sudden surge of jealousy, and it was the surprise from that which gave her the strength to turn away.
She studied the elf king instead.  She had heard horrid tales about how his eyes were blood red, hands bloodstained from gleeful torture of innocent faeries--and far worse deeds, but Tallow didn't care to think of those.  But all she saw before her was a handsome (there was no getting around the fact), cunning man who wanted to do what he thought was right for his people.  She was glad that their two kingdoms had finally come to peace as the only option.
She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't realize the crowd was beginning to disperse until a maid--one of her personal servants, a perk for living in the palace--tugged at her tunic's sleeve and looked at her with eyes that begged forgiveness for her breach of protocol.  It was Silvea, one of Tallow's most trusted servants.  If not for the vast difference in their ranks, she might have called the other girl a friend, and she shrugged off the other girl's lapse in etiquette as nothing more than concern.
"Yes?" Tal said, scanning the crowd for William one last time, but not seeing him.
"Milady, we really should get back to your rooms and prepare for the ball tonight.  The king has sent you a very fine dress, and expects you to play your role at the revels tonight." Silvea delivered the news with a tone that one might bring news of death with.  She knew how much Tallow hated extravagance of any kind--but Tal knew she had to obey her king.
"Okay," she breathed out, "Well let's get on with it."
Silvea gave her a slight smile, and then led her to her rooms.
