Deak quickly found the key, but when he heard Daisy's final words, he just threw the key at shadow through the bars and ran over to Daisy. He began to shake her, trying to wake her as if she was sleeping. "Daisy?! Wake up! Daisy!" He shouted. He laid his head on her chest and his tears dripped onto her lifeless body. He couldn't help but think this was his fault. "If only I was the one who was shot... Why didn't they shoot me!?"

Shadow quickly grabbed the key and unlocked the gate. "Freedom.." she said quietly so only she could hear. She then ran over to Daisy body and put her hand on Deaks shoulder. "You know its not your fault Deak.. Like you said before, we cant blame ourselves no matter how much we want to.." Shadow said,trying to soothe him. Just then alarms went off and a red light filled the room. "We gotta go!" she said to Deak hoping he would follow. She heard the thunder of boots hitting the ground, marching over to see what happened.

Deak took one last look at Daisy and got up to follow Shadow. As they ran he grabbed her hand. "I'm not loosing anyone else." He said not even looking to Shadow. Deak ran as fast as he could, keeping a firm grip on Shadow's hand. Once they finally got out Deak sighed. "Lets just go home." He said looking at the ground. He knew something like this would happen. Its the end of the world after all.

Shadow felt Deak hold a firm grip on her hand. This probably was harder on him. He had just had his first experience killing people and had yet another friend killed. Shadow ran quickly alongside him and they finally got to the apartment. She had a feeling it wouldnt be safe anymore. Shadow walked inside and looked around at the gloomy looking apartment. "Deak we need to get out of the city. Jakes whole team will be looking for us and kill us too, its best if we move on." she said strongly. *+*+*+*+*+*+*+ Jason had just ran into aisle 10 only to find Jake now dead and the Daisy girl. Lots of troops were in front of him when one screamed. Jake had risen up again and bit a man in the neck when he got too close. Jason's eyes filled with horror and pulled out his gun. As the other troops scattered he shot Jake and the now bitten soldier abit hesitantly. He couldnt stay here anymore. Jason grabbed some weapons and cans of food and storedit all in a bag and left when no one was looking. He hopedto find the two escapees, Shadow and Deak. Jason then set out and found an old apartment.. (( Dont worry Jason isnt evil, I think I will claim him as my own charrie now ^^))

Deak looked at Shadow. "I want to leave this place anyways." he looked back to the ground of the apartment. "Your all I have left so I'm going to focus on keeping the both of us alive." he stated. He wasn't going to loose anyone else. Not after loosing his best friend and another good friend. "Why did it have to be them? Why could I just have gone?" He said. "If had just left Daisy here..." He said, blaming himself again. It seemed like it was all he was capable of doing.

Shadow nodded her head and didnt feel like cheering Deak up at the moment. The place tha the thought was same for months would soon be torn down by Jakes army. Shadow left Deak and walked into her room. She grabbed her pack and put all she had left in there. Her few can of food left, a Glock gun, and her old mask. She smiled when she examined it in her hand and put it in the pack. She looked at the mirror she had shattered the day before and sighed. *+*+*+*+*+*+*+
Jason had thought he heard voices and entered the apartment building. He walked up the stairs until he found the room where he heard the voices. Someone blaming something on himself and then footsteps. Jason knocke don the door slowly and called for them, "Hello? Anyone in there..?"

The moment Deak saw Jason his fists clenched. They were still bruised and bleeding from when he beat Jake to death. He glared at the other boy. "What do you want?" He said angrily. "You here to kill us? Sorry to burst your bubble, but thats not going to happen." Deak stepped towards him. He decided not to yell for Shadow. He could take care of this guy himself. "If you don't get out I'll kill you like your friend killed Daisy." he threatened.
((I might make another Charrie too! Maybe a girl for Jason so he doesn't steal Shadow, but then again that would make an awesome drama scene! XD))

Jason stepped back when he noticed it really was Deak. "N-No Im not here to kill you! I.. I just cant stand being at that camp anymore.. And in 3 days they're planning to bomb this place. I.. I so sorry for what we had ro do baxk there. I didnt want to do those things but Jake said he'd bury me in a ditch and throw walkers in there to kill me." He explained anxiously. "Im sorry, and I just need another group tostay with.." he finally said. *+*+*+** Shadow heard Deak in an angry voice and figured he was just beating himself up. But then she heared another familiar voice and came down with her daggers at her side. "Hey whats going on down-" she stopped short whn she saw Jason. "Wh-Whats he doing here?" she asked

Deak Gritted his teeth. "You didn't have to do anything!" he yelled. "You could have just ran away, but no. I'll just do what ever Jake says!" Deak did a horrible imitation of Jason. "I will never trust you." Deak stated firmly. As he turned his back on Jason, he saw Shadow, whom he had not notice while he was yelling at Jason. "He's not joining us." Deak said to her.
((Don't worry, Jason and Deak will have those moments where they realize they actually are friends ^.^))

Shadow watched as Deak had yelled at Jason like that, she actually felt bad for him. Shadow thought for a second and sighed. "He is." she said simply. Jason looked Shadow right in the eye but didnt belive what she said. "Im what?" he asked. "You heard me, and Deak I think he deserves a second chance. We cant just let him rot on the streets like that." she said. Jason smiled a bit and was glad Shadow accepted him. Shadow then looked to Deak with a pleading look as Jason smile hopefully at him.

Deak glared at Shadow. "Since when did you get to decide who joins our group?!" He argued. "I'd rather die then be in the same group as him! How can you trust him?!" Deak protested. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. How could Shadow just accept him like that? "Zeak wouldn't approve of this jerk!" He said, realizing that Zeak wasn't here to convince Shadow not to accept Jason. Zeak was still a sore subject for Deak and he hadn't moved on yet. Deak looked to the floor after he said that. "Fine! Do what you want, but I'm not staying with you two if he's here!" He stormed off to one of the rooms and slammed the door. Maybe she likes him, Deak thought. "Why should I care?! Its not like I like Shadow or anything..." He said to himself.

Shadow looked at Deak after he said. "Since when do you get to decide who joins our group?!" Shadow argued back by saying," Since I was group leader!" after he slammed the door to his room. Shaow rolled her eyes and looked back at Jason. "We CAN trust you right..?" she asked. "Course you can, again Im really sorry for Daisy. I hope you can overlook that.." he said quietly. Shadow felt a little weird talking about Daisy now, it reminded her Daisy was gone again. "Its fine. It wasnt your fault, Im sure we wouldve all done the same if we were told we'd get killed." she said reasurringly. "Well welcome to the group.." Shadow said holding out her hand. Jason was so happy that Shadow let him in, instead of shaking her hand, he just gave her a big hug. "Thank you so much!" he laughed. After he let go Shadow blushed a bit and scratched the back of her head. "Um yea, anyway were planning on leaving tomorrow, you can just go and set your things somewhere and rest." she said and went to Deaks room without knocking. "Deak, you cant stay in here forever. We're leaving tomorrow and I'd think it help if you just put your hatred for Jason aside." she said leaning against the door.

Deak looked at Shadow and shoved a pillow over his head. "Yes I can." He said stubbornly. He the sat up and threw the pillow to the floor. "Why do you like that jerk?" Deak asked like he knew it was a fact Shadow liked Jason. "What about Zeak? You can't just move on like this can you?" He stood up and stepped towards Shadow. "If your going to move on , move on to someone who deserves you!" Deak said referring to himself. He stepped closer, not thinking about what he was doing before he did it. Deak found himself just inches away from Shadow. "Shadow, I..." Deak stopped as soon as he started and looked to the floor. "What am I doing?" Deak asked himself quietly.

Shadow was astonished on what Deak had said. "We just met! And I dont like Jason!" she barked defensively. She then noticed who Deak was referring too when he said that if someone should love her, it should be someone who deserves it. "Wait do you mean.." she started to say but Deak then got close to her. Shadow was flattered he liked her but she wasnt sure if she even like Jason. She was still sore from Zeaks death. Shadow gently pushed him away, "Yes what are you doing..?" she asked with araised eyebrow.

Deak looked into here eyes. "I don't know." He put his hands on her shoulders and leaned forward, pressing his lips against hers. He closed his eyes, and was ready to get pushed away. For that brief moment, he seemed to forget everything else in the world. Was he finally happy? Yup. Deak couldn't think of anything else he wanted at the moment. He started to feel bad for some reason. With everything that happened, he didn't know if he was doing this out of sorrow or if he really wanted it.

Shadow felt Deak kiss her and she was surprised. She widened her eyes and reached her hand for the doorknob. She then turned it and opened the door quickly making Deak fall on the ground. She obiously didnt like Deak in that way. "Deak are you crazy!" she shouted. *+*+*+*+*+*+ Jason heard a thud and Shadow yelling. He quickly walked out of the room and saw Deak on he ground an Shadow standing above him. "Deak are you crazy?!" he heard her yell. "Hey what happened?" he asked in his smooth voice.
