The moonlight's silver breams dappled a silent figure. The figure glowed pale in the moonlight, its sides heaving in the rythmic serenity of sleep. A soft muzzle inhaled the sweet night air, and little snores of peaceful dreaming filled the darkness with warmth. This creature was an omni. Not a dazzling albino, or even a black. But a humble natural omni with sleek streaks like paintstrokes and vivid markings.

The omni was young - his chest narrow and sleek body long. He did not posess the grace of a full-grown male omni, nor the broad shouldered look. But his little snuffles were enough to make him resemble a sleeping angel. His paws shuffled in dreamland. A rare baby to be found - and his name was Japon.

Japon's eyelids fluttered as sunlight dappled his figure. The darkness ebbed away as light splashed the horizon. Though omnis are born without eyes, Japon was far from blind of the world. A curious dawdling creatu full of interest in the world - Japon bounded around clumsily, rolling into leaves with snorts of amusement.

Japon's parents were solitary creatures. Even being young, Japon was beginning to become more independent from his parents. He mostly devoured crickets - stalking them when he sensed them in the gra.ss and pouncing on them with great glee. Besides hunting bugs, Japon's favorite activity was listening. Being unable to see, Japon took a great liking to listening to the world. He listened to the blades of gra.ss rustle and the rain pitter-patter on slabs of stone. Sometimes Japon even thought he could hear the clouds roll across the sky. He would simply let the wind lick his fur and listen for hours, smiling at the beauty of his world.

"Oh, Japon," Japon's parents would say fondly of their kit. Japon would tilt his head at his parents and leap in the air just for fun, twisting and dancing in the sunlight.

But then came the day every omni comes across.

They wander.

Japon wandered away from the den. He kept a nice trot - not to jaunty and proud, but he kept his neck arched and kept a bounce in his step. He was proud of his trot. It was a nice trot. A fine trot, indeed. Aunty and Mother always told him to stand up straight and look his best. So Japon did. He groomed himself daily, stripping his glossy coat of grime. He looked gorgeous, if he did say so himself. So Japon stuck out of the forest like a sore thumb when an ebilia padded by.

The ebilia was black as night, her eyes a sickly yellow. She had not yet lost her fur, still in her teen stage - it was thick and glossy, clinging to an emaciated waste. Her tail flicked back and forth, and she often listened to the clink of the bones that remained there. Her smile was crooked but gleaming - charming. Alluring. But her claws were sharp as daggers and they gleamed just as much as her fangs. Her rough skin clung onto her wings, but bones potruded from the tips. They clattered eerily when they unfolded to fly. This ebilia's name was Dreamcatcher. She had named herself this- her parents hadn't cared to name her. Some creatu thought she had named herself this because she caught bad dreams and locked them in her heart. Some creatu thought she called herself this because she crushed good dreams and hope in jaws. But no one knew quite why.

Anyway, Japon was unaware of the ebilia. He simply trotted along, trying to make himself appear fancy and sophosticated, although he had not the slightest idea someone was watching. He plodded along happily, purring to the splash of a nearby waterfall. But, distracted, Japon stumbled over a log. He fell upon his back. "Ow!" Japon chuckled.

But despite Japon's nonchalance, Dreamcatcher saw her chance. Japon's soft belly and vulnerably thorat were exposed to her tearing fangs. She flew out of the bushes and landed before him, scathing the air with a horrible hiss. She pinned Japon with a paw, her claws flexing in and out of his soft fur.

Japon shuddered. He could feel gleaming sterling claws pressing against his soft flesh, pricking against him rythmically, just enough to make him give an invoulentary shudder. "Please!" Japon wailed. "Don't hurt me..." he felt cowardly, and his pride collaped, but he didn't give any notice to that.

"Hmm," Dreamcatcher purred in a smug way. Usually she killed with swift purpose. But this little creature would make a fine playtoy. She hoisted him up by his scruff and looked him over. "This will be fun," she smiled. "Now follow me."

Japon followed carefully, his paws tentative. He wanted to flee or bolt, but he knew he was much more unsteady and this cat was much faster. "What are you doing with me?" Japon asked. "Kidnapping you," Dreamcatcher replied, as if that was a usual reponse.

"W-What?" Japon whimpered, hesitating his frightened gate.

"I get lonely- ... ah hem, I mean, I get bored. I need something to do every once in a while." Dreamcatcher replied swiftly.

Japon shivered. What did she mean, something to do? Talking? Playing? Attacking? Teasing? Hurting? Killing? Eating? He picked up his trot until he followed right behind her, trying to get on her better side.

Chet padded through the forest, the sound of bracken crunching under his paws music to his ears. He was an albino zenirex - and though his red eyes usually represented evil, his eyes were warm and courageous. His plumed tail flew in the air, wagging unconsiously in content bliss - when his doggedness sensed fear. Yes, zenirez have amazing senses of smell - and he could smell powerful fear.

Chet peered through some brambles to see Japon following the ebilia. "Dreamcatcher," he huffed. He leapt from his perch in front of Dreamcatcher, his claws digging into the moist dirt and his lip curling up to reveal white fangs. "What are you doing with the omni, Dreamcatcher?"

Dreamcatcher hissed. "Pfft, what do you care? He was going to become someone's meal sooner or later. Might as well be mine, Chet."

Japon looked at the majestic white dog before him. It had narrowed red eyes, glaring suspiciously at Dreamcatcher. He was in a brave, unhappy stance - tail up, paws planted far apart firmly on the ground. Chet was large for a zenirex, taller than Dreamcatcher who slunk along like a rat. Chet had broad shoulders and white mane framing his growling face.

"Leave it alone, Dreamcatcher," Chet ordered, his stance refusing to waver against the horrid Dreamcatcher. Dreamcatcher though - she held a cool composure, just casual enough to make Chet want to rip her apart. Her tail flicked in annoyance, and she smiled as Chet grimaced at the click of bleaching bones and the smell decomposing flesh.

Japon hoped the zenirex would chase Dreamcatcher away and that he would be safely returned to his mom and dad. He wanted to go home! To Japon's dismay, Dreamcatcher snarled at Chet. "Fool! Leave or fight me, because I have no time for your heroic nonsense."

Chet snorted, giving an empathetic look at Japon, and pouncing at Dreamcatcher. But he was a dog, and she was a cat. He posessed strength and agility, she possessed quickness and muscle. She flung herself from under him and up, knocking the breath out of his lungs and forcing a little yelp out of his gruff features. Japon shivered as the clicks of teeth meeting empty air and the slices of jaws ripping fur and flesh filled the silence. He backed away, his legs shivering and his eyes wide. But he couldn't run- he didn't know where he was.

Japon sat in the dirt as Chet was pinned down and claws were raked along his spine, and he writhed in pain. Japon sat in the dirt as Chet threw Dreamcatcher off of him and sank his jaws into her ear, ripping fur from her. "Just speeding up the process," Chet woofed, refering to the loss of fur ebilias went through eventually. Japon sat in the dirt as the two animals met each others throats with untamed fury, tearing at any exposed fur. A death-game, Japon could only sit and listen and cringe whenever the fight floated towards him.

Eventually, both animals were bloody and battered, panting heavily. They glared at each other, and Chet leapt as Dreamcatcher looked away. He barreled all of his muscle and weight into her neck and front side, fangs slicing her and a sickening snap occuring. Dreamcatcher wailed in pain, flying onto the ground with a thud and writhing in pain. "Stop," Japon could her say, "Make it stop, please make it stop." He suddenly felt grateful he couldn't see, for her leg was twisted in a sickening way, obviously broken beyond repair. Blood dripped from her neck and her eyes were wide and white with a pain that made even Chet guilty and sympathetic for a moment. He would heal - this cat would not. If the injury was not fatal, it would at least cripple her and she would most likely die of starvation.

Chet looked at her. Should he finish her off to stop her suffering? Should he leave her to writh like she had done to so many creatu? He leaned in and breathed at her, "Do you want to die, Dreamcatcher?" Dreamcatcher's breathing slowed and some of her old pride and solitude returned. "If I'm gonna die, it's not gonna be by you, mongrel. Now get out of here before I get up and kill you!" Chet leapt away from her, though it was obvious she was in no place to fight.

"C'mon kid," Chet growled to Japon, and they were off, away from Dreamcatcher, away from blood, and away from where Japon had come from.

The Myotis tightened his grip, and zoomed across the sky, clutching Japon the whole way.  "Don't you dare try to escape."

"Help!" he cried out, struggling to free himself from the Myotis' grip.  "Heeelppp!"

"I warned you not to try to escape.  Calling for help and struggling counts," he hissed, and started to zoom in circles, shaking Japon violently and making him dizzy.  He stopped spinning in circles, and laughed darkly at Japon.  Then he zoomed down towards a cave and spun in the air.  Gracefully, he landed on the ground, but didn't release Japon.  "Ain't ma tricks a beauty?"

"No," muttered Japon.  "I could've mistaken those 'tricks' of yours for a clumsy and careless flight and land.

Hey, I'm Reddaysi. I write when I can, and absoloutely love doing pet pages. Heres my entry

*
Five large, purple, eggs, embroidered with a yellow pattern spreading across them, lay under a branch of a tree, heavily laiden with leaves. The light of the setting sun glinted on a small red diamond; set in the centre of each egg.

Two creatures, with that same pattern; purple, elegant, spirals, curves, and corners; covering their white fur, tails split into three exactly like the shell of the egg, and long purple and gold spikes streching along their backs lay beside the nest of eggs. The heads of the creatures were covered in more of these gold spikes, two protruding further than the others to give the impression of horns. In the center of these two majestic creature's heads was a red jewel, with two more at either side of the chin, where two more gold spikes flew from their faces. One last jewel, right at the end of the trail of purple and gold spikes, was set, with two more gold spikes elegantly sticking from it, then the tail lay underneath.  Holding them up were a strong pair of legs, purple, with yellow hooves.
They were entirely impressive creatures, even of the natural colour. They were Omni.

On closer inspection, you would have noticed one egg, in the centre of the nest had a small crack in it. The earliest hatcher.
And its name would be Japon.
 *
Japon hatched from his beautiful egg, exactly the same as his parents in colour, and just as perfect. Strangely, he hatched a whole day ahead of the rest of the Omnis in the nest.
*I'll finish later, got to go now c:*
If you like it, I'll write more. If not, thats okay.
