I like both the idea and your start.. Something about the main character being dead always gets me. xD Even one of the most insanely weirdy books I've read hooked me in the beginning because he started off being 'dead' - or at least, describing it as though he was dead. |

Okay, I'll write some. I open my eyes, being momentarily blinded by the hospital light. A docter looms over me, and I know he is carrying my in his arms. I hear a lady's voice saying, "Why isn't she crying?" The docter walks around so I can see the lady. She is lying on a hospital bed. He hands me to her. I have a look at my hands. Ha! I have tiny hands. "Is she alright?" The lady asks, giving me a kiss and snuggling me to her chest. The docter smiles at her.
"All the equipment says she is fine." I stare at the lady's pretty face. Then I realise who she is. She is my mother. I keep looking at her, wondering why she was worried at my silence. I feel perfectly fine.
"Beautiful Annabelle." Mum says quietly into my ear, and I close my eyes at the word. Annabelle. The perfect name. |
