I haven't tried it Safflan, but effects stay with the pet permanently, so I don't think it would be erased. It should still remain as an option. But the creatu can only "wear" one effect at a time.
I have a black drindian with both the stardust effect and the undead effect.
This is what his effects list looks like right now.
However, if I try to change his current effect (or any other undead pet's for that matter) I get this message. I'm not sure if this is just for the duration of the Halloween event or if it'll be permanent.

Pepscake, normally, no you would have to let them starve to death. HOWEVER, if you do Xespa or Xoria's Cure Quest and let them test their potion on your pet, there is a random chance it will kill your pet immediately. They do not lost their names right away, AND you'll get one of these if they die:
The Halloween event is over. I was able to set my undead Tesuri's picture back to normal. He kept the effect, so you are able to switch back and forth at will now.
Has anyone been able to gain the undead effect by using a resurrection potion now that the event is over?
peps undeads go for 3 to 4 million then you add the color worth to it. So an undead albino would sell for about 18mil for the color and 4 more mil for the undead effect. Making it 22mil total :3 Hope that helps.
