'Kay so I find myself kinda liking.. bro whose name we don't know yet. Seriously I can't even take a guess. Not a single other decent-sounding name comes to mind that's four-lettered and starts with a D.
Though I.. probably just like him because of the references to Dave. Heck yes he'd want to give you a stoic fistbump for stealing his rabbit.
... Okay yah I pretty much can't wait 'til we get to see guardian!Dave. He's just. So awesome.
Too bad he'll probably end up being shown last, since his bro was the last introduced new kid. x3 Heck, we haven't even seen anything of Jade yet, and that's despite that she's probably dead by now and has no possibility of stealing the show. So yah. Rose and Dave are probably gonna take a while.
Also the reference back to the butler island joke. Was just yes.
Especially since it's kinda literal now, considering that Aurthor was pretty much a butler. A disturbingly muscular and naked butler, but a butler nonetheless. And now Jake's island is swarming with his kind. Bunch of giant gross musclebeasts, ready to hand out fresh towels and glasses of milk. Aw yeah.

Dane is the one I think is most plausible. I know some people are also saying Dael/Dale, Dean or Drew.
I like the difference between him and Dave with his view on clones.

It's just... so awesome how everything is just reversed now. At first, I was kinda disappointed that all that epicness happened then with a new arc, it was pretty much a slow start, but I feel bad for ever doubting Hussie. What's happening right now is just as epic as anything else.
I find Aurthor disturbing. e.e That giant herd scene with all that was just... ffff.

Yah, I guess Dane doesn't sound too weird. Or maybe Duke but that's not much of an ironic cool-kid name. Sounds too serious.
Ah. I'm still not sure I like the whole reversal thing.. but maybe that's just because I don't like change. I still don't even like most of the trolls very much - I'm too attached to the original kids, and how great things seemed when the story focused on them. Pretty much the only troll I'm truly fond of is Aradia.
So yah. I guess in my mind I feel like having things entirely reversed is like. Just another la
yer of moving farther away from how it all started. Even if it moves closer again at the same time, since the original four have a lot of influence over the new kids.
I s'pose it's like what the wiki says about how the more things change, the more they stay the same.

And then a couple times toward the end he drops the accent and starts unleashing all these chains of curses. It's like the hounds of Hell all up in here. Bunch of stupid dogs running around punching babies in their poor, innocent ears.

Well, the guardians DO mention that they'll be meeting their ancestors, so I'll think we'll still be seeing the kids. =3 Jade did the whole 'smashing through the wall" thing.

Y'know. I kinda wonder if the kids will end up meeting their guardian selves too.
I guess it all depends on when and where the battleship they were on appears. But still. If they ARE gonna meet up with the new kids, then the only way for them not to meet/at least coexist with their guardian selves would be if all the guardians die off before they appear. Since it seems to be a thing for guardians to get killed in Sburb.
... Ohgog. We have to watch them all get killed.

It was bad enough when the original guardians died. So sad. Especially with poor John trekking up those stairs so oblivious, talkin' about marriage like a stupid goofball.

Please at least prototype your sprite with John, Jane. 8( He's already died too many times.
Besides, you don't have a radioactive dog to prototype with, so.

Though actually I don't recall Grandpa ever dying. He just sort of came back to life and then drove a battleship around and.. I can't even remember what happened to him. Did he just disappear or something?
So.. maybe John won't die after all. Since he was already dead in the first place.

I'm pretty sure Grandpa was shot by his own gun when one of the trolls or something intervened. He did actually die but there's a whole bunch of time shenanigans going about because of Dave and the trolls.
But yeah Grandpa actually did die. c: He died when Jade was just a little thing, I do believe.
Okay actually I'm really not even sure anymore due to all these shenanigans everywhere messing up the timeline and stuff. xDD;;;; |

Ohhh. It took me a minute to remember what you were talking about. I haven't gotten that far yet in my reread (the trolls part takes so freaking long to read omg), so I was like. lolwat.
Yah, there was something with a gun. And like. A bullet going toward Jade but Bec rerouted it and it ended up hitting Grandpa instead. Or something like that. Right?
Buuut. He didn't die in the Medium like all the other guardians did, if I recall. o: He just sort of stopped appearing.
... Actually maybe he doesn't count as a guardian at all. The same way that even though Nanna was ectobiologically one of John's parents, Dad was his actual guardian and was thus the one to die. So instead of Grandpa dying, maybe that was for Bec to do?
Like. Bec prototyped himself. And then basically got buried under dead dream Jade in the sprite's second prototyping, then Jade herself when she went God Tier. Unless somehow he's still conscious there under all those layers, he really only exists as a powerup, and as a little influence on Jade, Jack, and the Mendicant's appearances.
So pretty much Bec was the guardian that Jade lost. And it does make her pretty sad to have to look at the bad guy and be reminded of him.

Huh. The new kids still dying would be interesting. o: But again, in the first universe Jane and Jake never really died once they all got into the Medium.. It'd be a little odd for it to suddenly apply to them even though it didn't before.
But then, Jake's already gone and died on Prospit. What a silly rump.
