Shayne chuckled as Alex stormed towards the cave. "Someone's gotten under your scales." he mocked. "What happened?" Alex growled in warning. "I'm not in the mood Shayne." she snapped. Shayne chuckled, taking off in the direction Alex had come in curiosity. Soon enough, he sensed the presence of another dragoness. "Hello?" he called. |

Skyrath saw another male, this time unattached, "Oh, are you a friend of Alex?" she said coldly, her blue eyes hard.

Skyrath closed her eyes, "I hope your not like Alex," she muttered under her breath. "I'm Skyrath, currently the only egg protector," she said.

Shayne chuckled. "Alex was har*censored*ing you wasn't she?" shayne said, amused. "Don't let her bother you. Her ego is a little to big for her body."

Skyrath let out her breath, "Yeah, telling me that no male would go for an egg rpotector. Pfft, who does she think cares for her eggs?" she said bitterly.

"You do know that Alex has never had any eggs, right?" Shayne said. "We grew up together and she sort of led me on once. I would know if she ever had one." Shayne paused. "Why wouldn't anyone go for an egg protector? They're just like anyone else."

"Apperentally, an egg Protector is a weak and nonfighting dragon. She said I'm soft," she snorted angrily, foilding her wings.

"Well, if someone attacks the eggs then you attack, that sounds like a fight to me." Shayne pointed out.

"It's a very important job." declared Shayne. "Don't stress about it. Besides, it'll be hard being to only egg protector soon, this is gonna be a pretty active year."

Skyrath giggled, "I can that," she said, blushing so her scales turned rose colored.

Shayne chuckled and spread his wings gently so he could better feel the breeze. He close his eyes and let the sun warm his scales. He, unlike many other dragons, got his energy similar to the way a plant did: warming in the sun. Of course, he did do some hunting, but not as much as other dragons.

Skyrath looked at Shayne more carefully, her eyes roaming over his body. He was a good looking dragon, certainly strong and able to sire healthy dragonlets. She purred and stretched her own wings out, which glowed rose in the sun set.

Shayne peeked open one eye and quickly scanned Skyrath's body. She was fierce-looking and colorful. Obviously fiercely protective, seeing as she guarded the young of other dragons. Not the type to lead him on exactly. He closed his eyes again and wondered. Had she just been checking him out as well?

Skyrath blushed as she saw Shayne looking at her and closed her wings, eyes cast down. She hoped she wasn't repulsive to him.

Shayne folded his wings and opened his eyes. He smiled warmly, his energy renewed by the short sun bath. "I can see Alex would target you out of all the other dragoness'." he said.

Skyrath looked up, "And why would that be?" she whispered, acting coy. She shuffled on her feet, sitting down after a bit.
