(O yes, and can humans understand the dragons? I feel so lost...As if I just got into school and don't know what a pencil is. >.<

Calyx's eyes flittered open. The familiar tan color of her dorm's ceiling reminded her where she was, Dragon Academy. Letting out a groan, she hoisted herself up and out of bed. She walked sleepily over to a small refrigirator she had snuck into the academy and pulle dout a mini coke bottle. A long yawn escaped her lips as she dressed in her day clothes. Her shoes lay across the room, but she just sat on her bed and stared. She was homesick. She missed her brother, her cat, heck, even her brother's stupid dog. Suck it up, she told herself, slumping over and snatching up her shoes. She tied them and walked out of the room to her first clas.s, Dragon care, her favorite (and easy) clas.s. One thought kept her going, fell. Her dragon. He understande dher, other than the idiots at her old school. She raced down the hall as fast as she can.

Haku stalked out of his cave, his bony tail making clicking noises as he swished it. Food, he thought, tasting the air for any signs of life, food. He let out a roar, warning any other dragos that this wa shis territory.

Starfrost followed the human that was leading her to Dragin Care, her human's first clas.s. She wrapped her tail around her front 'paws' and waited for her partener to arrive.

Shay quickly got dressed, then started to head for her first clas.s. She walked quickly, and soon entered the clas.sroom. She saw Starfrost, and smiled, then walked over to her. "Did you get a good night's sleep, Starfrost?" she asked.

Fell's tail swished back and forth, back and forth...Then Fell decided to play a game.  It was the Alphabet game. Except she played it with herself, in her head.Apple juice. Bumblebees. Carrots. Doorknobs... She continued on, thinking.

Jake got ready and headed to first clas.s, almost dropping on the ground asleep, but he made it to the clas.s without too much trouble.

Mrs. Jane crossed her legs confortably and watched as her students arrived. "Good morning, first clas.s students!" she greeted, a happy smiled spread across her face.

Starfrost nodded, flexing her wings in and out. She flinched as she heard a crack, but as.sumed her usual spot with Shay. "Yes, Jane." Starfrost said. "Mrs. Jane." The teacher corrected. "Yes, I meant to say that," said Starfrost calmly, curling her long tail around Shay's leg, as usual.

Calyx slowed down right in time to walk calmly into the huge clas.s room, which was made especially for large dragons. "Mornin' Fell," Smiled Calyx, slightly panting from the run.

Amy sighed and got up, almost running late. 'Crud."She muttered. She got dressed. She grabbed an apple and headded out to clas.s.

Connor slowly got up. He looked at the time. He jumped up and got ready. He ran to clas.s. Kiki stopped him in clas.s. She licked his face, saying hi. "Hey Kiki." Connor smirked.

(Fails.)

Shay smiled. "Good morning, Mrs. Jane," she replied. She patted Starfrost, then pondered on what they might do today.

Jake resumed his position in clas.s--without a dragon, of course.  He wanted a dragon, but...how could he explain it?  Apparently, none 'liked' him.  He sighed, then yawned, but shook his head quickly and returned to Earth, not sleepy-land.

Juniper Berries, K--Fell stopped her game immediatly when Calyx arrived, then nudged Calyx happily. "Tired from running, right?" she said.

"Umm....uhh...No...Mabye...Yes." Calyx said, obviously embaras.sed. "I was late, my alarm clock didn't go off." She lied, she didn't even own an alarm clock. She shook it off, and changed the subject. "What do you think we're going to do today?" Calyx asked. She glanced at Jake, feeling slightly sorry for him. To bad he had no idea what a pleasure it was to have a dragon, a friend.

Starfrost purred happily. "Leeeeeft," She said, her left wing slightly unfolding up. Mrs. Jane smiled warmly at her students. "We'll wait until everyone gets here," She said.

(Lol.)

"Oh, Starfrost," Shay murmered to herself, and partly to Starfrost.

Fell purred. "You know, I don't know.  Probably something about Dragon Care...?" she joked.

Jake stared at the floor in silence. At least the FLOOR gets sleep.  At least the FLOOR is pretty.  At least the FLOOR has a dragon.  At least the FLOOR can talk to girls.  At least the FLOOR can--What the heck am I saying?!? Jake thought. Am I going crazy?  No, I'm just a sleepless no-dragon person. Jake shook his head, then made pretend "invisible" doodles on the floor with his finger.

"Hrmm..." Mrs. Jane observed Jake, slightly smirking to herself. "You know what, the best way to get to know your dragon, is to see them in the wild. They're natural habitat," She winked to Jake and herded the students outside. "Now, shush up everyone, we don't need injuries today," She smiled.

Starfrost wagged her tail. " We're going to the forest! the forest!" She was born in an incubation room, so she had never been in her 'natural habitat'. She practically dragged her partener outside.

"Nope, guess we're going outside," Calyc chirped, following everyone outside.

Amy looked at Jake. She smiled a bit. She sighed. She followed them outside. Connor smiled and walked with Amy and Kiki. Kiki nudged Connor, wanting food. 'We'll get some food later Kiki."He said. Kiki nodded and followed.

Amy looked back at Jake. "You coming?"She asked him.

Shay was whisked away by her dragon. "Starfrost!" she laughed, but let herself be dragged along. She soon started to be alongside her dragon, in step with her, not pulled along.

"YESSSS!!!" Fell said, overjoyed.  "I wonder what we'll do outside.  Maybe make pottery..Wait, you can't make pottery in Dragon Care, can you?  I guess not...And pottery's not made with anything from the forest, right?  Oh, darn, I forgot....Ugh." Fell shook her head, completely TOO excited.  She took a deep breath, then shouted in her mind. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She released her breath, and resumed being calm.

Jake walked outside with the rest of the clas.s, wondering just what is in store for them..

Calyx rolled her eyes. "I think we're here just to observe," she sighed. "Dude, I heard that there was some dead dragon, no, Undead dragon, in these woods." She whispered. "And he's evil! I hope its not true," She added, shivering.

It was Mrs.Jane's time to sigh. "There are no evil undead dragons in the forest, Calyx," she said calmly. Calyx nodded, but not entirely convinced.

Starfrost giggled, walking along with her human.

Fell shuddered. "Undead?" she whispered to her partner.

Talon got up, flexing every part of his body.  He got out of his cave, and sat down in front of it.  He huffed. "What to do today..." he said to himself.  "Oh, well...nothing.  My life is so boring."

Shay was excited.  The forest was one of her most favorite places in the whole world!  She hoped they were going to do something really fun.

Jake sighed, then drew "doodles" in the air with his mind, thinking them up.  What an AWESOME rainbow smiley face.

Amy watched Jake. She smirked. "Are you bored too?"She asked him. Connor looked behind ten looked back at Mrs. Jane.

(Fails. Sorry!)

Calyx nodded. "You are my shield!" she giggled, hiding behind her dragon partener. "I'm sure he--its not real," she saod, half trying to convince herself aswell as Fell.

Haku let out a snarl and stalked around his territory about forty times. "This is so boring!" He roared. Calyx shuddered. "Did you hear that?" she whimpered. Haku sniffed the air, humans. He was certain of it. He smiled quietly ti himself.

Mrs. Jane arrived at the gate of the forest. "Here we are~" She chirped. "Now, lets go. SOme dragons are very grumpy, so, yeah." she smiled.

Starfrost shivered with excitment. "We're here!" She howled.

"Hm? What?" said Jake, then turned to look at Amy. "Oh, uh, no, well, uh, sort of, not really....I...I....I don't know what to say."  Jake looked down at his shoes, "Well, I just wish I had a dragon.  But really, I'm not bored, but I would be even more not-bored if I had a dragon.....Ugh. Do you even understand me? Probably not...I am terrible at talking, and I just purpled...What?  I don't even know what I'M saying!  Whatever....just forget about me," he said, then continued walking and making "doodles."

"What?!" said Fell.  Then she calmed down. "I shall protect you!" she said, putting on a straight face.

Shay giggled.  "I think you're over-excited, Starfrost.  It's ok to be excited, but....You know what?  Express yourself!" she said, smiling.
