Human children are paired with a dragon egg at birth, or, have to find, tame and earn a dragon's trust in the wild when they reach a certain age. A long time ago, Dragons were worshipped like Gods. They were everywhere, from up in a tree to inside your house. But that was then. This is now. Due to the dragon's beautiful appearance, and scales, they were hunted down. When the Dragons showed resistance, the Hunters labled them as 'evil', just for standing up for themselves. Eggs were smashed, children eaten. Now everyone believed these things as killers. It didn't take long for them to go extinct. Or so they thought. Female dragons hid they're eggs in secret caves. When Kohaku Fazilyn found these eggs, he studied them. He soon found out that these magnificent eggs chose they're parteners, so he founded an Academy. He 'hunted' down these special children and told them, and they're parents that they had won a contest and was going on a cruise.

Now these children (14+ and up) stay in a secret academy, raising/breeding dragons in hopes of repopulating they're species. Some eggs remained dormant, still searching for they're destined partener, when others have already chosen. Kohaku 'set them free' in a beautiful forest. And to his relief, they hatched and now roam the forest, still searching.
