The force was building up in the black mess of shadows. It was nice, being succumbed in darkness. This allowed Charlotte to be free of any anguish she had felt earlier; it was comfortable and the creatures around here were invisible. The small elf was concentrating all her strength and energy into the shadows, for they were not easy to control and very much untamed. If she were to get out of the container, nothing was to distract her or she'd loose her grip on the shadows.

Shatter, tink, tink, yelp. Clank, clank, swoosh. The shadows dissipated and scurried back to the darkness while the bright light entered her eyes. She didn't make it out, instead two other creatures did. Charlotte narrowed her dark, round eyes at them, though they didn't seem to be interested in her, instead with their accomplishment. If blood rushed through her veins, it would have been cold with despite and hatred. Instead, her fingertips grew black, along with the tips of her nose and ears and small black dots covered her body. Her eyes grew a small red around the iris's and her hair turned black at the roots. The only down part of her transformation to a dark elf was that, even though it is permanent, there are glitchy side effects.

Charlotte summoned the thick and slippery shadows once more, this time getting a firm grip on them while her anger was flared. This time, when she willed the shadows to break the glass, it didn't hesitate to. It shattered with one push, though she wouldn't be celebrating over that, it seemed like she didn't even care. She spun to face the two creatures that had interrupted her escape and she summoned her thick shadows to engulf them. She hoped that the thick shadows felt heavy on their lungs.

She plotted herself down where she stood. Her skin started to turn back to the ivory white it was, her hair took on the vibrant red it held, and her eyes took over the red ring and painted it back to black. Charlotte, being the child-like creature she was, crossed her arms over her chest and watched with satisfied eyes as the two annoying creatures vanished into a world of black.

[[Concerning your last sentence - who did she 'put' the shadows on? And are they (the 'who's) gone, or just surrounded by shadows?]]

Amur watched as the other creatures got out of the glass cages. "So... does anybody know we are where?" She asked, her speech slow as if she couldn't figure out the correct way to speak the words. She smoothed back her white hair as she looked around the dimly lit cavern. One of the people had used shadows. I'll have to watch her. She flashed back to the war and remembered a certain enemy who used shadows to attack. He could turn into a panther and she doubted this girl could. Her features were too different to be from her planet. Looking closer, Amur guessed maybe she could, but it was unlikely. She turned to the other creatures who had escaped and tried to guess where they had come from.

((Sorry it sucks. I'm really stuck atm.))

Ellee, caught up in her moment of victory, didn't notice yet another creature escape. She took in all of the other creatures that she couldn't see before, each one of them seemingly hideous to an Ohen's eye. Even worse, outside of their own container, was probably one of the most complex creatures in the cave. It was the creature whose tank was filled with water, Ellee realized after a moment. She wondered if it breathed water, too, and was struggling to survive without it. However, there was one more creature who also escaped, although Ellee didn't realize it until she heard a container shatter. By the time Ellee turned to face the creature, its gaze was locked on her, appearing hostile, as though it was going to attack. Before she knew it, the air around Ellee began to weigh down, darkening and impairing her vision. Ellee coughed- clearly this smoke-like substance wasn't meant to inhale.

It took Ellee a moment to piece together in her mind that it was the vicious-looking creature who had caused this. By instinct, she bared her fangs and prepared to attack, only to realize that she couldn't even see the creature through the heavy substance surrounding her. What a repulsive creature, Ellee thought, attacking others when no harm was done to her. She began to string together curse words in the new language and spoke them, directing them at the creature and hoping that the air around her wouldn't mute her voice as well. Ellee needed to find a way to get out of this darkness that engulfed her, and fast, so she could tear that disgusting creature's head off with her teeth.

[[short post is short. I'm going on vacation this/next week, so it may take me a while to reply. If I'm holding you guys up, just move on without me.]]

Xander hit the ground hard, choking on noxious air though his gills before his body comprehended the position he was in and he started breathing through his mouth. The air tasted stale and dry, which was why he was having so many issues. He could feel the moisture on his skin evaporating, and he hoped that he didn't dry up. That would be bad, very very bad. He had heard of Kali who have died because they dried up. It was said to be a very antagonizing death.

Xander glared around, glowering at the other creatures. He slowly forced himself onto his feet, his legs shaking from lack of use. He had walked before, once on a drifting boat he had found, and it was quite a difficult thing to do. All of a sudden, it got dark. Not just dark, but more like pitch black. The Kali had wonderful night vision being that they were nocturnal, but this was different. It was inky and flowed almost like water. He snarled at the darkness, thinking it was a thing, a living creature or something being controlled.

Ooc;

Sorry it has taken me a while to respond. I probably won't be able to respond till the 17th but I will try my best to. Anyways, feel free to go on without me if I am taking too long, and if you do, just don't go too far ahead or knock Charlotte out and drag her along or something.

Bic;

Charlotte's posture was stubborn and resistant but it slowly slipped away as she grew bored of the game. It wasn't fun if she couldn't see their worried ex
pression. With a sigh she lifted her small stature up and waved the shadows away. They dissipated and the other two creatures were now visible. Earlier she heard a feminine voice cry out curse words and she figured that that creature would be the biggest threat to her now. Charlotte felt stupid for shrouding them in shadows. It was a very naive way to start a new life but they deserved it, right?

With dark round eyes she stared at them, both of their faces twisted up in a snarl. Maybe they wouldn't figure out that it was her. Maybe they would think it was the creature yonder who had gotten out first. No matter, that wasn't important, what was important was getting out of the horrid cave with various life forms squirming around restlessly. The presence of others had always made her uncomfortable. She shook the feeling away as she quickly left the shattered tank , trying to make her way towards the cave entrance.
