The Sentinel flew after him, but several needles exploded, taking out it's shields and damaging it's sentinel beam.

The Sentinel jerked and sparked as Soz stabbed it, but seemed still fully functional. It swung about violently in motions designed to shake Soz off. A Plasma-pistol overcharge slammed into the Sentinel near Soz. Several more flew past the Sentinel, but none hit.

The Sentinel crashed to the ground, suddenly unbalanced by Soz's weight disappearing. It burst into flames. Another Sentinel zoomed over Soz's head, a large score of plasma scorches and holes in it's armor, although the main damage was that it's front third was missing. It seemed to be flying around aimlessly sparking and burning.

The Sentinel spun around in the air as the needles hit it. The needles then exploded and the Sentinel changed course and flew directly towards Soz, clearly not going to stop. Sergeant Harrenly took out the shields of the last Sentinel and it was ripped apart by sustained Warthog turret fire.

The Sentinel smashed into the ground and erupted into a ball of flame. A huge squad of Sentinels flew by the group of jackals, firing off their beams and killing several. They continued on to a clearly more important target-which seemed to be in the direction most of the Sentinels were heading. The Warthog drove up to Sergeant Harrenly, who was looking over his injured ankle. "You okay Sergeant?" Jenkins asked, calmly stepping out of the damaged Warthog. "I'm okay Jenkins, let's just head back to base." Sergeant Harrenly said. "What about the Elite sir?" Jenkins asked. Patrise grumbled something in Spanish. "I'm sure she is capable of finding her own way back."

A ghost zoomed past with several grunts clutching on for dear life. Several Elite Rangers Jet-packed after it, firing at two Sentinels pursuing them. In the distance a Scarab could be seen heading back towards the base. "I would think leaving is a good idea, I doubt there are many of our forces left out here." Resnov said, her Russian accent more prominent than before. "Alright, let's set off." Sergeant Harrenly agreed.

Sergeant Harrenly hopped onto the back of the Warthog again and they set off. The Jackal mob called out to two nearby Elite minors and the Elites joined the group. Several squads of Sentinels headed in the direction a large portion of the others had headed. "What could be that way that is so important to the god's machines?" One of the Elites questioned.

Thanks to Resnov's expert driving the Warthog managed to negotiate the rough terrain and destroyed vehicles and Sentinels. The Jackals had an even easier time, moving quickly and efficiently, weapons ready for another Sentinel patrol. The Elites spoke quietly in Sangheli as they moved.

(Really Soz? XD) Two Sentinel's flew at the group, Sentinel beams aimed at the Jackals. The Elites roared and rolled into cover, firing their plasma repeaters full auto. The Jackals scattered for cover, shields raised, causing the Sentinels to hesitate while they chose targets. Patrise fired the warthog turret at them, the shells bouncing off their shields.
