Mick stared down at the words written in the soil. He wasn't a very fast reader, but he could get by. Still, he stared at them longer than her needed to. He wasn't about to say it, but one of the little, female pups that had been born in his old pack was born deaf. He imagined it was something the same. He shook his head, dissipating the memories without a word. He nudged the she-wolf, Yuki, with his shoulder.
"Where are you going?" he asked. It was apparent she wasn't a pack-wolf, but he doubted she had been on her own long. There was nothing wrong with her disposition, but he doubted she would have lasted long on her own. He was curious. He couldn't stop it. Frankly, he didn't want to.

Kael blinked at the pup in surprise. Obviously this little one had extreme mood changes. He watched her leap before him, then froze. He could smell the scent of an older wolf, younger then him, but old enough to fight. He eyed the little pup. One of her parents perhaps. Or her sibling. She was a bit of a nuisance, true, but her innocent, carefree antics were... reminiscint of his own childhood.

Yuki looked at him and shrugged. She didn't know where she was going she was just wondering around.
Kazumi giggled before noticing how the male froze she knew what that meant. Whenever her brother froze like that it meant danger, quickly she moved under the male wolf acting like she would as if he was her brother. She looked around the area before her ears perked hearing a laugh that was fermilier.
Watching them was fun and seeing the male freaze and his sister hiding under him was too much and he couldn't help but laugh. He knew his hiding place was gone now and he moved into the light. He wasn't acting threatening seeing as the male didn't do anything for him to act that way."Come on Kazumi I think youve bothered him enough" He said to her smiling as she ran over to him yipping happily. Kaze looked at the male and nodded to him "Thank you for finding her for me my sister has a way of getting into trouble without meaning to" He said to him in a friendly way.

Kael nodded in acknowledgement, feeling his hackles lower in relief. He yawned and stretched, then gazed back at the young male wolf.
"It was no problem. Might I ask your name?"

Kaze nodded "My name is Kaze and this is my sister Kazumi" he said licking Kazumi's head making her roll on her back and giggle. "As you can tell she is very playful and doesn't know of the dangers around her unless either i or another adult freeze near her" He said watching her roll onto all fours before running over to the other male. "If i may ask what is your name?" He asked tilting his head.

Kael turned his head so his good eye was looking straight at Kaze.
"I'm known as Kael, short for Akaelas. It was an honour to meet you, Kaze..." He nodded at Kaze, then looked at the pup still rolling around at his paws. "And you, Kazumi."

Kaze laughed seeing how Kazumi was acting. "Sadly she hasn't learnt how to talk yet. Also i think shes too playful of a pup to even try when someone talks to her" He said smiling as Kazumi looked up at Kael and yipped before jumping up trying to get him to play.

Kael looked down at the puppy at his feet.
"Where is your pack? Shouldn't they be caring for and teaching Kazumi?"
His voice was quiet, and even as he asked the question, his instincts were telling him to move on, to find another area without any other wolves.

Kaze shuck his head "we don't have a pack our father was killed and my mother was kicked out of the pack while pregnant with Kazumi. I went with her to protect them." He told him watching as Kazumi was still trying to get him to play.

He chuckled.
"Nowhere, huh? Well then, looks like we have a common destination. I was, however, looking towards the twin peaks." He nodded to the mountains looming in the distance, tall spires of stone reaching to the sky. "There's.. there's something I must do there." he whispered under his breath. "Well, if you're not heading anywhere, I would be honored to escort you through those hills." he smiled.

Yuki nodded her tail wagging with the idea of being with anouther wolf again and not being on her own. She didn't like being on her own it made her feel weak knowing that she could be killed easily.

Mick chuckled at her approval. He was about to set off in the direction of the mountains, then he stopped, looking curiously back at the other three wolves. Part of him wondered who they were, and where they might be going. Then again, there was another part of him that warned him not to go find out.
Soon, his rebellious side won out.
"Stay here for a moment, I'll be back in just a bit." he said softly, but firmly. Then he bounded down the cliff towards the others. Maybe he could get close, maybe he could learn something.

Kael heard another wolf approaching, and his hackles raised, body stiffening. He growled, tail flicking up, front paws splayed in front of him.

Kaze jumped next to Kael while Kazumi moved to go under them. The fur on Kaze's back stood up as he growled and snarled at the oncoming threat, the newcomer would have to prove that they wernt a threat because all Kaze could think off was the protection of his sister.

Kael bared his teeth and growled at the intruder- a smug-looking silver grey wolf, young and in his prime. He was vaguely aware of Kaze doing the same, but his eye was focussed and glaring at the newcomer.
