Seeing the conflict getting resolved, Asche calmed down, his neck fur flattening back to its normal state. "Whew, thank goodness that was just a misunderstanding." he breathed, his ex
pression softening, as well. "Yes, I think I owe you an introduction, and an apology. My name is Asche, and I'm sorry for judging the situation like that." he growled respectfully. "It's just in my nature to be protective of pups. Anyway, you mentioned something about food?" he asked, changing the subject. "I was on the ways to the hunting grounds, myself. Maybe I can help you catch something? The more we are, the better chance of succeeding. Besides, it's the least I can do for intruding on your pack like that."

Nala was relieved that Shadow and this wolf named Ashe came to help. When Alla liked her nose she noticed that she really did leave some blood there. Shadow then told her to tell someone before she came into the forest. Nala flattened her ears and looked around the forest. And bring another wolf with her? No, besides all the adults would probably never let her do any fun things and find some adventure to participate in. Ashe then mentioned something abiut food and knowing where to get some. "I can come! Im a great hunter!" she exclaimed. Yet in reality she would probably just chase the prey around.

(This RP is starting to get good. (: ) Alla smiled at this new wolf. She liked his calm demeanor. "Sorry about that." She said, a little embarrassed by her mistake. "We were hunting before. Our pack is hoping to make it through the winter without any losses. Sure, you can help. After all, you' ve done more good than harm." She laughed bitterly. "Unlike me." When Nala volunteered to help, Alla laughed. "Of course you can join!" She agreed enthusiastically, hoping to make it up to her. "Come on, let's find a real hare." With this, Alla began to walk back into the hunting grounds as the sun began to rise fully into the sky. |

Shadow sniffed the air before saying,"It smells like a herd of elk has passed by recently,about ten minutes before we came here." She then said,"Follow me.",and ran ahead of them,hoping they would pick Nala up before leaving.

Nala smiled a wide smile when Alla said she could come along. She then followed Shadow with her paws stomping agaisnt the ground as she ran. She sniffed the air and could smell elk too. "This is going to be great. Maybe when Im an apprentice Ill train to be a fighter for the pack." she mumbled to herself as she ran. Nala looked ahead and barely saw the herd of elk. She then looked back to see if the others were following.

Alla followed them. She smelled elk too, and it was strong. Hoping her nose did not fail her again, she was relieved when Shadow confirmed the scent.
When long antlers came into view, Alla sprang into action. She hoped to find the weak link of the herd, then cut it off from the rest of the elk. There was an older one, hobbling behind the rest. Perfect. Her snout made into a fierce snarl, she began to hunt.

Shadow got next to Alla and asked,"You see the same one I see?" She knew she saw it too and whispered,"You cut it off. I go for the first part of the attack then you can come in to bring it down."

Alla obeyed, thinking this was a rather clever plan. She herded the old elk away from the rest, hoping the other elks wouldn't notice. He reared, but to no avail. Alla nipped at him, waiting for Shadow to attack.

Shadow dashed out from the cover of the trees and jumped straight into the air. She reached her paws out and felt her claws dig into flesh. When she had a good grip she bit into his back to make him rear and then fall. She let go and said,"Come on. Kill him,before he suffers to long." Always having a great respect for what she killed she got off of the elk's back and pinned his head to the ground as she waite4d for Alla to finish him off. "Thank you. You will keep my pack alive for a bit longer. I will make sure your suffering ends soon.",she whispered in the elk's ear and then looked back at Alla.

Seeing the females handling the hunt on their own, Ashe had instead focused his attention on a resting hare. Turning towards Nala, he nudged his head, signalling that he had something to say to her. "You see that hare?" He whispered, nudging towards the rodent. "How would you like to finish it off once I've gotten it cornered?" He asked. "It will be a great way for you to get some paws on hunting experience, and I can even give you a few pointers."

Nala watched as the others went to hunt and hoped Alla would get to the elk before it suffered for too long. She then turned her attention toward Ashe and noticed the hare he was gestering too. "Ok sure." she said happily. Now would be her perfect chance to get some experience at hunting. Nala then growled a bit to the hare and waited for Ashe to take action and corner it.

"Great!" Asche smiled. Hopefully this hunt would help him befriend the pup, and gain the trust of the pack. He turned back towards the hare, who was starting to grow a little wary of its surroundings. It was now or never. "Just sneak up upon it carefully, wait for my cue, and you'll do great, promise." he added before cautiously approaching his target. When he came as close as he could without spooking it, he accelerated into a gallop, racing after the hare. Having the advantage of surprising it, Asche did a decent job at keeping the pace, as he lashed out at the hare's hind legs. The slash injured the rodent sufficiently to give it a limp, slowing it down considerably. "Now!"

Immediately after Shadow attacked the elk, Alla rushed in, fangs and all. With a swipe of her clawed paws, she ended the poor elks life. "Hardly a fair trade," she murmered, "A life for a bit of food." They would need to find a way to bring the carcass back to the pack. It would be a big job even for two full- grown wolves. Alla grinned. "Hey, Ashe, wanna come meet our pack?"

Shadow smiled when the elk's suffering ended and raised her head to look toward Ashe and Nala. They were hunting down a hare and seemed a bit busy. "I think we should wait while they finish their hunt,it's only fair.",she said as she backed away from the carcass of the old elk.

Nala watched as Ashe injued the hare's leg and waiting for her cue. Once he said for her to go Nala leapt into action. She jumped before the hare and bite down into its neck. She remembered how her mother used to do it for her and the other siblings. Nala did it exactly like her mother and bite down harder until she heard a crack. She let go of the hare and stood back to look at it. It seemed dead now. "Yes!" she exclaimed

"You did great!" Asche exclaimed, examining the dead hare. He wasn't just saying that, either. Nala had managed to end it just the way a hunter would, with that bite to the neck. "I'd wager you're going to become a great hunter when you grow up. Now let's bring this beauty back to the others." he smiled, picking up the carcass and trotting back to the others, who had tle="Click to Continue > by Browse to Save">successfully felled the elk. "You seem to be doing well here, as well." he woofed after placing the hare down besides the larger animal. "Here's our contribution, courtesy of a certain young talent." he nudged his head in the direction of Nala. |

Alla laughed cheerfully, feeling strangely happy. "Nala'll make a great hunter someday. " She said playfully, her tail wagging. "Come on. Lets get back." she started to trot around. Alla hadn't felt this good in a long, long time. And now that she had started to feel good again, she thought she actually kind of liked it.

Shadow nudged the pup's side with her paw and said,"Good job." "Now lets bring back our kills and make sure this little pup here gets to eat as much of the rabbit she killed as she wants when we get back.",she announced to the others as she picked up the antlers of the old buck in her mouth.

Nala felt happy that they all appreciated her for her hunting skills. Then they said that she'd be a great hunter someday! But is that what I want to do in my life? Hunt animals for the pack? Of course its a great job but Im just not sure of myself yet.. She thought. "I cant wait to see what the other pups will say when they see I caught a hare!" she exclaimed to the others. Nala then padded near the front of the group and wagged her tail as she walked alongside them.
