Dawnhaze opened her eyes are she saw sunlight streaming into the warrior's den. "Oh, boy!" She squealed in joy, feeling the excitement of her warrior's ceremony flooding her once again. "Wake up, Dreamstone!" Dawnhaze started shoving her denmate. "The sun is up, and it's time to wake up!"

Dreamstone was shaken awake by Dawnhaze. She lazily opened one eye, and closed it again, in high hopes that Dawnhaze would give up and walk away. But the persistent little pest continuosly shook her, and in her annoyance, Dreamstone sprang up and hissed at Dawnhaze. "If you know the customs of this den, I usually wake up last!" She flicked her tail at the rest of the sleeping warriors.

Dawnhaze felt a little bit frightened by her denmate. She looked slightly crestfallen, and when Dreamstone saw the look on Dawnhaze, her ex
pression immediately softened. "Oh geez, Dawnhaze." Dreamstone sighed. "Every cat knows I'm grumpy in the morning. Come on, let's go get some freshkill." Dreamstone started padding out of the den, followed by an eager Dawnhaze.

Coalpaw's eyes fluttered open. Yawning, he got up, stretching luxuriously and silently padding out of his den, careful not to wake the other apprentices. "Good morning Nightowl." He said to his good friend, as he stifled another yawn.

Nightowl was bouncing up and down. "Why are you so tired, Coalpaw?" Nightowl asked. "I feel re-energized! I feel like I can run through the entire forest! I feel like I can bring down the largest bird! I feel like I can chase down the fastest rabbit!" He went on, ignoring Coalpaw's comment, saying "Why don't you go do that?". 

Coldgaze ran through the forest. The soft damp ground signaled that rain had fell. He stopped and lowered himself close to the ground as he smelled rabbit. He was about to leap for it when he was awoken by a hiss in the den. He looked up at the roof of the den. He stood, streached, and crept out of the den shaking a few droplits of dew off his fur before walking over to the fresh kill pile for something to eat.

Clawpath rolled around in his bed. He had been having trouble sleeping in the hot weather like this. He was more used to the cold and like it better. He thought it was odd how he thought of the cool air better than the warm but didnt pay a second thought to it as he smelled fresh kill. He stood and snuck his way quietly out of the den carefull not to awake or disturb any of the other sleeping cats.

Bonepaw streached as he awoke and leaped out of his den. He didn't want to sleep in. He was way to excited to finally train as an apprentice so that he could be a warrior.He had bragged to the other kits in his old nursery about how he was determined to make his clan pround, and thats what he was going to do one day. "I cant wait" he told himself as he smiled and licked his paw to give himself a morning groom before training started.

Coalpaw looked around the camp. "Oh look, Nightowl! There's my mentor." He said, aching for an excuse to shut his friend up. "I think we better greet him. He is my mentor, after all."

Nightowl looked at Coalpaw, who was only a head shorter than him. "Oh, you're getting boring, Coalpaw." Nightowl rolled his eyes, but strolled on towards Coldgaze. "Good morning, Coldgaze! It suuure is a nice day, isn't it?" Nightowl said cheerfully.

Coalpaw followed, watching his friend carefully in case he provoked his mentor. "Good morning, Coldgaze." Coalpaw said in an obedient manner, slightly bowing his head in respect. "Are we doing any training today?" He asked, tilting his head to one side.

Coalpaw's eyes widened in excitement. "Oh wow, hunting? I can't wait to learn more crouches!" Coalpaw bent down and tried out his best rabbit stalking position, moving his legs swiftly and silently, careful not to snap a twig or crackle a leaf.

Nightowl watched from the side. "Very good, Coalpaw!" He winked at his friend. "Careful, or cats will say that I taught you that!" He let out a mrrow of laughter, as Coalpaw sat up indignantly and twitched his ears, a slightly annoyed look coming across his face as he watched his friend.

  Snakekit sat on the ground listening to the other cats in the nursery's  breathing. She couldn't wait for she would become an apprentice soon! She heard one of the kits wake up. Not caring who it was Snakekit got into the best crouch she could do and waited until she could tell exactly where the cat was. She heard the cat shake the moss out of her fur and listened as each piece of moss softly landed on the floor. Snakekit's muscles tensed up as she lept into the air and landed on the surprised Ladykit.

 "Hey!" Ladykit howled as something landed on her pushing her to the ground. She rolled over onto her back to see who had attacked her. "Snakekit, what are you doing?" She asked.

 Snakekit got off of Ladykit and went back to listened to the other cats sleep. "I am seeing what it might be like when I am an apprentice!" Snakekit said as she bat a piece of moss that had fallen off of Ladykit. She got back into her crouch as she heard another kit get up. She felt something land on her head as Ladykit tossed a piece of moss at her. She left a paw and squished the moss between her pad. Now her cover was blown and she wouldn't be able to attack the other kit! "Why did you do that?"

 "Oh...Just practicing to be an apprentice." Ladykit said sweetly.

 Snakekit growled. She leaped at Ladykit and batted one of her ears. Ladykit rolled over onto her back and lifted up on her younger sister. She jumped out from under the rock and let Snakekit fall to the ground.

 Emberheart yawned, waking quickly from her long sleep as Nightspell prodded her with a paw. "Wake up, sleepy head. You apprentice is waiting on you." She said, flicking a tail in the general direction that Bonepaw had been the last time she'd seen him. Emberheart jumped to her feet, shaking moss from her pelt. "Sorry. I guess I was really tired yesterday." She mewed, padding out into the open with Nightspell.

Nightspell snorted and sat on her haunches as she watched Emberheart approch Bonepaw. She flicked the tip of her tail and glanced around for somthing to do.

Bloodclaw yawned, flashing his fangs. He lounged lazily in the sun, a few feet away from Nightspell. Like hers, his tail tip flicked up and down. He licked a paw and drew it over his whiskers and ears. What to do, what to do.

Moonpaw pawed through the fresh-kill pile, searching for the plump vole she'd seen Bloodclaw bring in earlier. Ah! There it was. She picked it up by the tail and padded over to where Bonepaw was eating. Sitting a little ways away, the picked at the vole, eating it in little, mannered bites.
