Everest's eyes opened slightly as he felt as if someone was close to him.
He stood up, his larger-than-normal paws treading silently along the forest floor. He yawned, stretched, and struck off in the direction of the sensation.
Soon, he found what had set out to find. An ocelot was slinking close to the ground before him. He remained quiet, but watched the young ocelot slink about, grinning as he observed.

Rana smiled slightly at what Suri had said. From what others had told her before, she was actually quite boring. Nonetheless, she smiled.
"You mean more fun." She corrected his improper use of grammar, given that it was one of her pet peeves. However, when she corrected him, she didn't sound like a know-it-all or like she was being bossy. She just sounded kind, which was something unusual for Rana.

""Yeah that." Suri said as he sat up again, "So how about it Rana? Wanna have some fun?" He asked excitedly as he stood up and then crouched down his tail flisking the air. Suri was all for fun no matter what kind it was. Play fighting, pretending, whatever it was he just liked to play. Though Suri wasn't a kit anymore and hadn't been for quite some time now, he still acted like one.

Ladri hissed slightly, and paused. She lifted her head, eyes glinting in the dim light. Something wasn't right. There was no bird or frog songs ringing on the forest floor. She could hear sounds way above her in the canopy, but closer to the ground all sound seemed to have shut off. Ladri felt her lips draw back in a silent snarl, and she tensed without realizing it. She had never hunted in this part of the forest before, and she didn't know if she might have wandered into another ocelot's territory by mistake.
Ladri arched her back, and unsheathed her claws. She closed her dark gold eyes and let her ears do the work, she didn't move much, other than the slight twitch of her ears as the swiveled around to listen better. Suddenly her eyes flickered open, and she whirled around. With a snarl, she leaped at the tangles of vines that someone was hiding behind. Ladri slashed with her outstretched talons, her mouth gaping and her canines bared. She felt her claws connect with soft fur, but she danced away again. Ladri landed with her limbs stretched out, reading to spring again. But she waited, and stared at the ocelot that she had just broken away from. His shape and pelt pattern were hard to make out in the dull light. But his scent was definitely male.
"Who are you?" she snarled suspiciously, teeth still bared.

Rana sighed and stood up, stretching as she did so. "Why not. I have nothing better to do." She let out a light laugh, and her tail flickered behind her, her ears swiveling towards the noises that the forest made.

As Ladri jumped at the vines that hid Everest, Everest was surprised, so he attempted to jump backwards, which was easier said than done when you had a full stomach.
Instead of landing on his back paws, he landed flat on his back, knocking the breath out of him. His stomach was exposed to the new ocelot, and he let out a playful, harmless grin. His tail flickered, and he angled his head so that he could hear and talk to the ocelot, Ladri.
"Who am I? I could ask you the same. Who are you, and why did you just jump at me like some sort of cat-nip crazed housecat?" He let out a light laugh, his head tilted slightly to the side.

"Ok....GO!" Suri shouted before leaping at Rana his claws sheathed as he landed on top of her pinning her lightly to the ground, "Got ya!" He said with a laugh as he looked down at the ocelot.

Ladri glared at Everest. However, she sat down, although she kept her claws out. She had half a mind to slash at the other ocelot's exposed belly, and be on her way, but at the last second thought better of it. "I'm an ocelot," she began slowly, as if talking to a kit. Contempt crept into her voice as she continued. Who was this cat, who was well-fed, to be asking who she was and playing around? "I'm just--" Ladri broke off and snarled. "Who are you to be calling me a house cat while you're over there laying on your back with your stomach exposed like a fluffy little kitten?! Who do you think is more like a house cat? Me? Because I don't think so!"
Ladri whipped around and made for the vines. This lazy male wasn't worth her time. She looked back and bared her teeth again. "It's none of your business who I am," she concluded with a trace of a snarl in her voice. Ladri slipped through the vines and back out into the forest. A frog croaked somewhere to her left, and she pounced. She felt the slimy little thing under her paw, and lifted it. Then she shot her head down and dispatched the little thing with a quick nip. She picked up her catch and stalked off, tail high and waving. She didn't look back, she doubted that the other ocelot would follow her.

Everest laughed with each insult thrown at him that came out of Ladri's mouth. He wasn't insulted easily, and he found it more amusing than hurtful.
He stretched as he got up, and watched as Ladri walked away, following behind her quietly. He wouldn't be detected as easily anymore, but if he became too loud, Ladri may detect him. He kept his noise in check, and kept a safe distance, but stayed close enough so that he could observe the ocelot.

Rana was surprised, and let out a yelp as Suri tackled her. She wasn't exactly the strongest cat, but she could play-fight back with Suri without getting injured.
Making sure that her claws were sheathed, she positioned herself accordingly and flipped herself on top of Suri, pinning him to the ground, grinning.
"Who's got who?" She asked playfully, grinning.

"Whoa!" Suri said as they were flipped over the roles being switched in a matter of seconds, "I guess you got me." He said with a laugh.

Ladri allowed her body to do the work of moving, using her ears and nose to maneuver, while she closed her eyes and thought. She thought of Aera and wondered how her hunt was going. A little while back, Ladri had paused to gulp up the frog, but now her stomach was rumbling again. She rarely got to eat her fill, what with Aera to help provide for, and wasting time helping Ladron and Ophiera. She wondered if that was why Everest had irked her so, the fact that he was well fed and laughing at her as she attacked him.
The thought of the other ocelot made Ladri ram her ears back and draw her lips back in a snarl. Her claws slid back out, and on of them snagged on a leaf. She growled, exposing her fangs in annoyance and tugged on the leaf.
"Crap!" she snarled as part of her claw tore. It stung, and soon the wound would be bleeding--leaving a perfect scent trail for others to follow. How could she have been so stupid? |

Rana grinned and nudged Suri's neck before jumping off of him. "I guess you give up, huh?" She moved so that her ribs weren't showing so much, and that she looked a bit healthier.

Everest stood up as he smelled the blood. He couldn't help but feel sorry for the ocelot in front of him. In an attempt to come forward without making Ladri feel like he was a stalker of sorts, he walked casually up to her and looked at her paw before saying, "Would you like some help? I could lend you some herbs to help heal the wound quickly." Of course, he left out the part where Ladri would have to travel to his den to get the herbs.

Suri was caught a bit off gaurd when Rana nudged his neck. He stood up slowly his eyes following her and then he noded, "Yeah..." He said absentmindedly barly listening to her. He had a goodfy grin on his muzzle as he watched her.

Rana cocked her head to the side. "Why do you look like that?" She stifled a laugh. "You look like you're on catnip." She rolled over onto her back, looking at Suri up-side-down.

"Is that good or bad?" Rana grinned, her tail flicking behind her. She licked her paw absent-mindedly, purring quietly. Once she was finished licking her paw, she rolled around on the ground so that she got a bit closer to Suri.

"Alright, then." Rana yawned and said, "I'm tired now now. You tired me out!" She let out a few laughs before yawning again. She rolled over onto her stomach and placed her hands on her paws. "Um... is this your territory?"

"And you didn't attack me or kill me or anything?" Rana got up and smiled. "You're so nice. Normally I would've been attacked for this." She sighed. "This forest's a tough pace."

Ladri sighed as Everest padded up to her. Had he followed her? It seemed unlikely that he had just happened to move to the same part of the forest where she was heading. And the fact that he popped out of the undergrowth somewhere behind her... Ladri shook her head. "Yes, fine. I'm not going to catch anything while my paw is bleeding," she replied heavily.
