Yukita lay in a heap, trying to recover her self but to no avail. As inhuman as she was, healing wasnt part of her make-up and as bad as it sounded, she needed help from a human. She stood, trembling slightly, and poked her head out into the rain seeing no sign of Morana. She spread her wings and took off, wobbling as she went, spotting an older house a few minutes later. She landed and took her human shape, banging on the door. When no one answered right away, she burst in, water dripping from her drenched form.

Morana heard the Yukita leave... the girl dare try and leave again?  She let out a bird like shriek and it echoed about the city...causing lights to flicker about... and came into the lair..."Aki.  We're going hunting.  For a gargoyle." she growled dangerously, in her rage, throwing a torch to her painting...and she watched the flames engulf her paints as it perished into a pile of ashes...  her fists were clenched and for the fifth time in her past...she had to kill one she created.

Carolyn came to the door...seeing the girl heaped in a pile of blood.  She raced over, wrapping a towel around the stranger and pulling her to her feet..."DRAKE!" she screamed about the halls.  Drake excused himself from the group and came to his sister..."W-who?--" he stopped... He pulled the girl into his arms and carried her to the den, laying her gently on the couch.  "Carolyn...get the first aid kit and alert the others." he breathed... tearing his shirt and applying pressure to the girl's wound. 

Carolyn raced into the dining hall..."A stranger is at the door." she panted..."she's in dire shape!" was all she said before grabbing the first aide kit and returning to her brother.

Drake toar open the case, and pulled out the scissors...cutting away the girl's clothes.  He grabbed spray.."This will sting my dear." he breathed, spraying the wounds.  He dabbed the blood and wrapped the girl's leg and head with gauze. 

 Isis looked up when she heard Carolyn say there was a stranger at the door. She narrowed her eyes and walked back towards were she came from and noticed the bleeding girl that Drake had now bandaged up. She let out a cold hiss and glared at the girl. She didn't like her...For some reason that girl reminded her of death. She looked very much like the boy that had burst into the theatre hurt and bleeding just as she was, only she had more of a dangerous appearance to Isis even when she was so badly injured. She turned around and walked back into the other room.

 "Who is it?" Ebony asked curiously watching her sister walk back in.

 "Who care!" Isis snapped walking over to a chair and burring herself into it.

 Ebony sighed looking over to Dante. "So what exactly happened to you?" She asked.

Drake comforted the girl... not seeming to want to question what happened... He silently nursed ehr wounds and stood up, "You are welcome to stay as long as you need... I will return with food and drink." he said kindly turning and coming to the dining room...  he glanced at the guests before disappearing into the kitchen. 

Carolyn, although much younger then the others in her home, came to the girls and strange boy with the cut on his arm.  "I prepared beds for the night if you choose to stay for a bit." she said, a wide smile across her face.

Drake came into the room... a serious ex
pression on his face.  "Time for some anwsers." he stated, drying his hands on his jeans.

Morana didnt look at Aki, but spoke..."Yukita has betrayed us... she allowed her brother's escape... betrayed my loyalty.  She revealed herself to the humans... and has chosen her side.  She will perish beside them." she stated in a low whisper... 

"Have you forgotton who's home you are currently seated in." Drake stated in a low growl.  "We will call the number when I get some anwsers... for one... what is any of your names? for two... how did you find the dead man...three... what the hell is going on." he stated, his eyes narrowing dangerously.  "You are asking this boy all these questions without offering any information yourselves."

Carolyn stood quiet in the corner...

((Lol. I love Carolyn's personality and stuff...Is she one of you characters?*Goes to check*))

 "Okay, well, my name is Ebony and this is my sister Isis and we were just walking along when she wanted to go to the theatre so when we came in I felt something drip onto my head and when I looked at it it was blood so I decided to go look and find out what was above and that is how I foudn the dead body. Then I scream, Isis ran up, and a little while later you came up and found me covered in blood and Isis crying and that is pretty much it...And the reason I'm asking the boy the questions is because we might all die because of him!" Ebony answered.

 Isis just continued to grumble stuff to herself not caring to answer any of his questions.

((no... i just made her up so drake didnt live alone... he would seem like a creep otherwise xD))

Drake clenched his jaw but simply nodded...  "Well... I am Drake... my sister Carolyn is right here... I told you the story of our home... and I heard a scream, no doubt yours, and came to the theatre where we met.  I will admit that I had my suspicions but you seem like a fine group of folk..." he rose an eyebrow.  "We will die?" his eyes narrowed dangerously at the boy.

Yukita winced her eyes opening. I'm dead for sure. She thought, her eyes clouding over in mourning. "If it's answers you want, it's answers you will get." She said walking gracefully into the room despite her injuries.

Dante hadnt gone out to see who the stranger was, so he was utterly surprised when Yukita walked into the room covered in bandages. "That's her. The murderer." He stood up in alarm, his hand curling into a fist reflexivly.

"No need to be alarmed now. I have betrayed my kind, and I will surely pay for it with my life. I will tell you everything you need to know about us and then some as long as you swear to get it out immediately. You can not call that number quite yet, if you dont mind." She said softly, putting her hands up as if to say I surrender.

"And how can we trust you. You supposedly died two years ago Yukita! You left me alone!"  Tears began to fill his eyes but he swiped them away as quickly as they had come.

 Isis narrowed her eyes. She had known that there was something weird about the girl, but what it was she didn't know until now. "What do you mean 'your kind'?" She asked coldly. "And why should we trust you? I bet one of your friends, or maybe even you, killed the human in the theatre...I bet he trusted whoever killed him, and look where that got him?"

Carolyn held up a hand..."Lets not start a battle between each other, if this stranger, Yukita, is telling the truth of 'her kind' it may be smart to listen, before we pay for it with out lives." she said in a frightened whisper, trying to keep her nerves high, she trembled slightly and fingered the ribbon she held in her palm.  She stared towards the ground, not wanting to make eye contact with such a different group of people.

Drake closed his eyes and let out a low sigh...  "Agreed." he motioned towards the table, his eyes still narrowed dangerously, "Let Yukita begin her tale." he stated.

Morana hissed.  "Search the city." she commanded, "I will search the river's bank... alert the chimera if you find her." she commanded..."If I find her, you will be alerted with a human's screech." and with that her feathers ruffled and she shot through the city, a blur in the night.

 Isis rolled her eyes. "I don't get you. You didn't trust me or my sister when you walked into the theatre and saw the dead body, but you are trusting a girl tha tis a killer?" She asked glaring at Drake.

 "Isis, relax." Ebony said calmly. "We should at least liste-"

 "No! I will not sit here and listen to her. She betrayed her own kind! What will she do to us?" Isis snapped standing up and turning around to leave.

"I dont have much time. I am trying to hide my presence hidden for as long as I can, other wise I am a homing signal to where we are. By my kind, I mean the monsters we are. Most have called us immortals, since we dont age as much. Each of us have unique abilities and qualities. For me I have the ability to see your next attack by watching your body language, as well as shift into a gargoyle. As a gargoyle I can also turn to stone to hide from you humans. We live in a small group, under the lead of Morana, the Griffon. She is wicked nasty and not ever someone you want to cross paths with. The man you found dead was of her doing. There is also a pegasus and a chimera, both vicious in their own ways. I am different from the others though. I was born as an immortal only two moons ago, leaving my brother and human life behind." Yukita explained, her facial features never faultering. "We are blessed with extreme beauty, thats how we draw you in. Thats really all there is too it, anything else you want to know? If not, then go ahead and call that number, and dont forget to show them your arm Dante." She said, her head turning towards the windows,backing up a couple of steps. "Morana is patroling, I must stay hidden." She growled under her breath.

Dante was stunned into silence, the whole story seeming like some sort of fairy tale. There was no way this was real, and yet it made perfect sense. Why they couldnt find her body, the sudden increase in murders, though most of them were probably hidden away, therefore doubling the number.

Drake eye's narrowed... "You dare bring in a fairy tale when we were all worked up? Are you mad." he growled in a fury...  he stood up from his chair and glared at the ones called Ebony and Isis.  "fine.  Leave." and with that he turned and strode into the kitchen, searching for candles in case the power went out in the storm.

The rain rang in the silence.  Carolyn finally spoke.  "Dont leave Ebony..." she chewed her lip...  "All of our scents including Yukita's is on you.... if you are found...she will destroy you." she trembled madly, her eyes glazed as if in a trance.  Tears came down her cheeks as she raced to her room... to grab a box...that held a letter...a letter she found on the top floor.

 Isis growled. "So? It isn't me she wants! It's her!" Isis said pointing at Yukita. She narrowed her eyes as she felt her sister's hand on her shoulder.

 "Isis, calm down." Ebony said holding her necklace. "Everything will be fine." She added this time sounding liek she was trying to convince herself more then anyone else.
