Applesong frowned. "What was Gladestar doing out in the cold rain?" she said. "We can't have her getting sick." she said. "Crowpaw" she said. Crowpaw stood up obediently. "You and Gorsepaw need to prepare a nest for a kit. Hawkshadow, you come with me to find Gladestar" she ordered. She ran out of the den with task at hand. She scanned the entrance to camp for Gladestar.

Gladestar hauled the kit into camp, finally. She dropped the kit on the ground carefully. She had to sit down to keep from falling, she was shivering so much. The rain was stopping though. She shook out her pelt and looked at Applesong. "Carry her inside, I'm going to my den to dry off" she said.

Applesong nodded. "Yes Gladestar" she said. The sun was begining to rise. She dragged the kit into the medicine cat's den. By now the rain was only a light, morning mist. Applesong heaved Vanilla into the dry, warm nest and groomed her fur to dry it. "Hawkshadow, you should go to the warriors den and get some rest" she said between licks. "Gorsepaw, you and Crowpaw can go too, I can handle her."

"Let me know if she wakes up?" Crowpaw asked.

"Of course" Applesong replied before returning to her patient.

Dreamcloud stretched and yawned outside the warrior's den. It had been a rough night. She shook out her damp fur and nuzzled Minkclaw awake.

Minkclaw yawned and then awoke with a smile. It was a beautiful morning. Every morning was if he woke up to Dreamcloud. "Good morning" he said. His long fur was damp from the humid air. He licked his lips. "Let's see whats on the fresh-kill pile today" he said.

Dreamcloud purred, and caught Shadowscar's eye. She smiled. "Morning" She cocked her head. "Where are you off to with that nasty limp in your paw?" she chuckled.

"You should have Applesong check it out before you go anywhere." Minkclaw said, sitting beside Dreamcloud happily.

Gorsepaw helped out her mentor. When she was dismissed, she silently dipped her head and padded off to her nest. It was nearby, her being the medicine cat apprentice and all. She hoped that she would be okay.

Not noticing the outside world, Vanilla remained still (she was unconscious).

Sitting on her comfy nest, Gorsepaw decided to take a nap. But she just couldn't. Something... bugged her. Gorsepaw sighed as she tried to figure it out. Was there going to be a sickness epidemic? Hopefully not. A special arrival? Hmm, it didn't seem like it, because Gladestar had already found the kit... Maybe the kit was special. Her tortoiseshell fur rippled as she shifted. Gorsepaw got up and decided to visit the kit.

Eagletalon got up. He stifled a sudden gag, whipped around to face the cave wall, and gave a long cough. He shivered. Eagletalon turned to the den's entrance and rushed out, to the medicine cat den. "APPLESONG, GORSEPAW!!" he called, punctuated by coughs.

Shadowpaw jerked awake. "Oh my StarClan, what's wrong?" she mumbled, turning to the cave entrance. Through the curtain of brambles, thistles, and leaves, she saw... Eagletalon? He didn't sound so good. She hoped that he was okay. Shadowpaw noticed that it was still raining, and yet Eagletalon was blazing across the muddy camp as if he was already in StarClan and unaffected by the weather.

Stormblaze was resting on his nest, sleeping soundly. He didn't move much. His slumber was very peaceful and uninterrupted by dreams.

Hawkstar was in his den, sitting upright. His tail swished back and forth as he tried to contemplate his strange feelings. Something was happening, or going to happen. Something... Possibly equal to an unspoken prophecy.

Nightstar gave a loud sigh. OceanClan was doing okay. Nothing to big has happened, luckily enough. But he felt... Bothered. Disturbed. But he couldn't put his pawtip on it. Yet an invisible aura or message urged him to open his eyes and see it.

Something was stirring... And some of the Clan cats knew it. Only leaders and medicine cats. StarClan was writing up a prophecy for them. It wasn't about the kittypet Clan. It was something else. Something bigger.
