Lucy's hand hovered over the little pot with dirt in it, and she focused intently on the seed that was nestled in the soil. She snapped her fingers, and the seed started to sprout, pushing through the dirt. It formed a bud, and then flowered. It was a little daisy.

Josh sat outside in the park silently. 

Jace was busy flirting with a pretty teenager next to a tree, as usual.

Josh, who was sitting across from Erin, ignored her frostily and read his copy of Romeo and Juliet silently. It was for a school project.
