Kaira had heard the lynx coming. She wasn't that stupid. He was upwind instead of downwind, so she could hear his every movement and smell the disgusting scent of his carnivorous stench. She wanted to outsmart the feline though- she'd done it before plenty of times and was confident that she could win this just as easily. The deer waited until she heard the distinctive hunting cry of the cat and her muscles stiffened. After a second she began bounding off, a clear escape route mapped in her head, and her favourite little twist to mess up that nasty predator's catch. She almost smirked at herself- my, what a wonderful trickster she was.
As soon as she found a small clearing after weaving her agile body between the mazes of trees, Kaira skidded to a halt and spun round to face her naïve pursuer. He looked different to most lynxes. He was a lot whiter. Nevertheless, she waited a second until the dumbfounded animal was an antler's length away from her, then reared to her hind legs. Her powerful back muscles helped her come crashing back down into the skull of that hungry monster hooves-first. She heard a satisfying crack then quickly leapt away from the cat, swivelled round and stared at him to see if he'd come back at her.

Xavier gave another un-cat-like snarl and swivelled around, his fur bristling. A warm trickle of blood dripped slowly onto the floor - he was furious. His haunches were swaying, but even through his hunger-driven madness he managed to keep himself under restraint. His hunt had been a terrible one, considering his his horrific state.
Xavier just sat and ran his tongue over the back of his paw, before drawing it over his nose. He'd given up on this hunt so early; his mental, and physical, state was severely deteriorating. Standing and adjusting his mechanical leg, Xavier gave her a light slash to the jugular - not enough to pierce it, but just enough to cause a little agony - and strutted off. He couldn't just ignore the scent of a feline and her kit wafting up-wind! His ribs were clearly sticking out through his skin as he leapt in front of the couple, crouched: ready to fight. He was feeling cannibalistic, yet this was just to play. Xavier had always been rueful, but not like this.

Red guided Patch through the long grass. Patch was dancing through his father's legs and stopped with when a growl was released from his father's lips. Red guided him to the waterfall and chased him inside since the rain was starting to patter softly. He grabbed something from his kill pile and lay down to crunch on it. He watched Patch eat a bird, when he was finished with his rabbit he walked to Patch and snuggled up to him.
The storm was above them now, he could hear the roar of the thunder, the crack of lightning and the trees swaying in the wind in fear. He jumped up an grabbed Patfh in his mouth and hurried to the back of the cave after a few twist and turns. It was warmer and he la
yer down to rest when the rocks shivered above him and he heard a loud noise.
He jumped up to investigate and saw that a tree had fallen over the entrance but he could get out and it stopped the wind. He ran back to a patch and snuggled up and finally falling asleep. |

( Sorry I haven't posted yet, I will post more often now :p) Rose soared overhead with a stern face looking for her lunch. She had always loved to eat fish, it was unusual for her kind to live on mostly fish, but it was what she grew up on other then rarely a few mice, and the occasional roadkill. She spotted a river and dived towards an upstream pack of salmon and caught one in her claws which she dug into its scaly skin. As she landed beside the river in the grass she quickly killed it and ate it with no hesitation. She then took flight in search for a good place to make her nest. (I would post more, but I'm about to go on a 2 hour drive, so once I get WiFi again, I will post the rest of what I wanted to)

(Sorry for the wait... Got kinda... Distracted.)
Sasha gulped as she caught the lynx's eye. She gulped again and noticed it's metal leg. He looked very harmful, what could he do to her kit? She would risk her life for him, yet if she did, who would look after the then-orphaned kit? Who would teach him how to hunt and fend for himself? No one she knew would be able to. She almost let out a useless cry, but she sank down into the ditch and meowed timidly. Then she decided to come face to face with the creature.
He was huge and dangerous, but Sasha knew that she wouldn't be able to pass through the woos without an expected attack. 'What do I say?' She thought carefully. 'If I say anything that gives away how starving I am then he'll most likely laugh in my face and great me like a pieon! I want to sound proud but... Helpless? I don't know!' She thought over and over. In the end she bounded out an sat down, washing her paw, her kit close under her sleek body. "Aha!" The lynx chuckled, approaching the feline."Caught you at last!" "Doing what? Anyway, we only want to pass through your territory, please? Just this once?" Sasa replied tactfully. "Yeah sure you can pass through my territory! Yeah it's no big problem you stealing my prey and everything! Just go ahead." "Thank you." Sasha dipped her head greatfully and, picking up her kit, edged out of the clearing. "Oho!" The lynx replied. "I was being sar-cas-tic!" He growled slowly."You're coming with me!"

After this heartless act, Xavier couldn't help but let a sneer creepy up his face. Blood was still on his muzzle - dried, but enough to add to his threatening posture. He might let her off with a few scars... Cunningly, he pounced at her, before darting to her side and raking his claws down them. His ears were filled with the pounding of his heart as he did so. With another unexpected attack, he stopped in his tracks. An aching pain was flooding from his stomach, causing his legs to quiver in an odd spasm of exhaustion. I must find food. Fast. No more games. He thought snidely. With one last glance at the feline, he snarled, "Very well. I must leave."
Xavier was carried away clumsily by his legs; through undergrowth to the scent of a rabbit. Sighing in content, he started his pursuit. This time he was prepared. He was down-wind, making as little noise as possible and treading lightly. He didn't want the animal's shamefully large ears to pick up anything.
Without yowling, he snuck out from the bushes in a perfect hunting crouch. Swiftly and expertly, he ran full-pelt at the rabbit, chasing it. Eventually, he caught it and, with a quick nip to the neck, it fell limp. No time to waste, though, considering his hunger. Ravenously, he bit into the rabbit and tore it to strips, before wolfing it down. It may have been puny with not much flesh, but it was satisfactory enough for now.

Rose flew through the air tired, and exhausted. She hadn't found any trees to make a nest suitable to her liking, or one with good resources nearby. If she didn't find place soon she would collapse out of the sky onto the ground and probably die. She had enough food in her stomach to keep going for another few hours, but that was it. After what seemed like hours she finally found a nice tall tree with not to many leaves, but not to little. It was a fine oak tree, and was surrounded by tall grass. She picked the tallest, most stable branch and sat perched up high, seeing the beautiful sunset, and a few animals, of which she couldn't tell who or what they were. She quickly gathered some makeshift materials and went to sleep in her makeshift nest, only to awake in a few hours to her growling stomach. She was at least less tired, and decided to just go on ahead and catch some food. (Just btw I'm at the beach currently, and won't be back until Friday. But I will be able to post, just not as much, and won't see posts until late at night.

Red gathered himself up and pushed himself off the cold, hard floor. He nudged his kit before leading the tiny kit away. He picked his kit up and jumped through the hole in the tree. He slipped down the trunk and propelled himself into the air and landed in the cool water.
He splashed around and carried his kit out the water with a growl. He watched his kit run around and sink into the mud. He left his kit to play while he hunted. As he hunted he heard voices and investigated, he saw two felines fighting and he scattered off to find food. He smelt rabbit and quickly lunged, grabbing it and running off to get his kit.
He had smelt the feline close and he didn't want a fight. He dropped the rabbit at his kit's feet and his kit feasted on it. He ate some of it as well before smelling some animal near by. He felt his kit shiver and grabbed him up in his teeth, he pushed his kit into the tunnel and watched his kit scramble up before running into the darkness.
He and his kit didn't talk much, not since Patch's mother died. He was quiet ever since. He sighs before scrambling up the tree trunk and into the cave bringing his kit closer to him. "How much longer until you talk?" he asked his kit. His kit looked up at him, "Later." he said in a squeak.

Kaira was almost stunned. Just almost, though. She'd expected the hunger-blind cat to make another idiotic move, but not so extreme as a claw to her throat. She bellowed a deer curse and instead of becoming frightened and skittish, she kept her stance and prepared to perform another attack on the predator- one that he wouldn't forget. Or maybe he would... Depends on the amount of mind-sickness.
Kaira smirked at her cruel remark. But that kit-ish feline really did shock her this time. He turned tail and simply leapt off. Does he already have mind-sickness, she wondered? Sure, this crazy cat could run, but he sure as hell couldn't hide. She had some sort of weird, indescribable interest in him and at least wanted to see what his next actions would be. She decided to take the situation calmly- a rare occasion for her fiery character- and follow his trail. What's the worst that could happen?
The elegant, bounding deer skipped downwind of the white lynx and followed him until he found a mother cat and her kit, seemingly of a different cat species. Her large eyes and ears observed as the lynx threatened, and harmed her. How dare he! That's a mother! Once again, his actions had enfuriated Kaira. He must be mind-sick. He then- rather abruptly- left the two, to hunt a small rabbit. What the hell was he trying to do? Kaira was tempted to go back and knock some sense into this crazy creature but stayed back.
She wasn't going to risk catching some kind of mind-sickness off him.

In a few famished bites, the rabbit was down. No time to eat respectfully. Idiotically, Xavuer was unaware of his surroundings as he bounded further into the undergrowth - yes, he needed more food, but he also needed rest.
As mind-dazzled as he was, the lynx decided im sleeping in a tree. Of all places, a tree? Yet sleeping in a tree just seemed... appetizing. It would be away from the bustling, ignorant creatures bellow him. Then again, who was he calling ignorant? He had a reckless attitude. Xavier just needed to sleep it all off. If that was possible.
He clawed his way up a trunk - unproffesionally - before settling in a branch that seemed to stoop at the centre. Perfect place to sleep. Settling on this one spot, his eyes fluttered to a close; his body to a sleep.
